Hello! I am back got back late last night and our holidays were soooo wonderful. I have to say there really is something special about spending Thanksgiving at the beach. There is less pressure to have out all your best china, linens and silver, its more relaxed, everyone seems happy, the vibe and tone is just amazing. Being at my sisters beach house with 16 others was such fun and so festive and enjoyable.

We ate ourselves silly (part of the fun) and overall just had a really fabulous time being together, reminiscing,  laughing and enjoying good old fashioned quality family time. I don’t care where we go with technology and we all know its moving scarily fast….there is NOTHING that will ever substitute the simple pleasures of spending quality time with your family. Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful! Hard to believe tomorrow is December 1st….oh boy let the games begin!

A few very candid snapshots as taken with my iPhone…….

A few reminders……

1. Today is the final day to be in the running for  the pair of the magnificent Seda France pillows!! I will be announcing a winner tomorrow. Click here to add your name to the hat!

2. And if you took some pictures over the Thanksgiving holiday….send them in for my “Hooray for the holidays” photo contest. I have gotten so many amazing pictures so far….last day to send them in is Dec. 4th. All details below-

The new theme is “Hooray for the Holidays“. I am accepting pictures for anything having to do with the holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas) up until Dec. 4th. I will run the contest through Dec. 8th and announce a winner on Monday, Dec.9th. I have already gotten some beauties so send yours in!

No rules…however you interpret “Hooray for the Holidays”. Could be a favorite meal, your home all decked out, your Thanksgiving table, a pretty table setting from a holiday past, a pet or child showing their spirit, etc…..I know I am in for a treat, your talents and inspirations always blow me away. Same rules, two pictures per entrant, you must put Hooray for the Holidays in the subject line of your email (I get a ton of email and don’t  want it lost in the shuffle). Email them to theenchantedhome@gmail.com.

A reminder that these must be your pictures (not necessarily of your home but pictures that belong to you, not taken off internet)

3. My final European kitchen order  (last order before Christmas) will be coming in next week. I have been selling a ton of these amazing products, so if you have been considering anything from that line, don’t wait long. Also please note a price increase is soon to take effect (manufacturer has put this into effect already but I am trying to hold off until mid Dec). These goodies are going fast…and I am down to a handful of bread boards, trivets and olive trays, just got in a new shipment of the gorgeous new cutting boards but only have a few left. Click here to see the entire European kitchen line.

They make the prettiest displays for serving foods….

And the gorgeous new scalloped ultra thick (3″) cutting boards and trivets have arrived!! Spectacular does not begin to describe how pretty these are!

4. For all those dough bowl lovers I got in 6  magnificent dough bowls. I was going to add these to my big mega post of my final steals and deals either Wed. or Thursday but figured I might as well announce them now. They are spectacular! So for any dough bowl lovers that were waiting, this is from the shipment I get twice a year from Belgium….these are as pretty as antique bowls get! Email me at theenchantedhome@gmail.com with any questions, to see pictures  or to purchase one. They don’t last long:)

I am loving this “Small Business Saturday” pitch. I plan on supporting a few local businesses myself today and think it’s wonderful to look in our own backyards to see all the small unique mom and pop operations that we can support, do you agree? I wish I had known about this sooner, I would have done a whole post on it!

So that’s a mini wrap up. I am gearing up for a very very busy few weeks ahead. I know that it is officially the “countdown period” for Christmas and I am going to spend a good part of my day today making my master list of all that needs to get done and try to come up with a schedule that will minimize the stress of it all and capitalize on the fun and festivity, which is what its all supposed to be about, right? Any tips, please by all means pass them on!

Enjoy your weekend and be sure to check back to find out who the lucky winner is tomorrow!! Thanks for stopping in:)

Hi Tina your Thanksgiving at the beach looks perfect. I have always wanted to do that, ours was fun too but a lot of work and cleanup for 20! I love the new kitchen cutting boards, I can see why they are top sellers. I am sending you my photo entries today for your contest. Happy you had such a nice and relaxing holiday. I do too feel the crunch and also am a listmaker and my deadline for gift buying is always Dec. 10th. I do not buy anything past that date and hold strong to that so it really motivates me to get it all done first week of Dec. We also decorate our entire house for Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving so we will be busy doing that. Those are my only two tips, early is better to avoid undue stress. Have fun!

Wow! What a delicious spread of food and the pies look wonderful. I’m glad you had a nice visit with your family and the relaxed vibe at the beach house looked like it was just what you needed:) Yes.. lot’s ahead! I think we will all feel a bit more rushed with Thanksgiving arriving a little later this year. We are diving right into holiday preparation and using the the long weekend to get a jump start. Enjoy the rest of your weekend Tina!

So glad you had a great time with your family! I love a laid back theme too and on the beach is even better! Loved your snapshots! I’ll have to get some photos to send you for your holiday post πŸ™‚
