Hello there, well we all know what today is!? The big day…..admittedly I am not a huge football fan however I do get excited and into the football hoopla when Superbowl rolls around. And lets face it anything that involves yummy finger foods gets my vote:)
We are spontaneously hosting about 12 people (it was supposed to be at someone else’s house) but something came up so we are doing it here. So I will be busy today prepping, cooking and getting things ready for the big game. We were in the city last night and went to what is hailed as one of the best sushi restaurants in New York, it was? a treat but it was sooooo cold!
Hope whatever you have on the agenda involves nothing more than sitting in front of your TV and indulging in something good. Here are my? seven picks for Sunday…..
1 FABULOUS PILLOWS. If you are looking for gorgeous and very affordable pillows, then look no further than 6 Wilson. I am actually considering some of these for a current e design client. 2. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST. You know I love to share with you what has caught my eye on Instagram, a non stop source for beautiful pictures. Here is what I thought was exceptionally good this week, heavy on blue and white love….
3.A STUNNING BLUE AND WHITE DRESS. A reader/friend sent me this saying she knew it had my name all over it. It is so pretty, available in both long and short, can’t you see getting a lot of mileage from a dress like this during the warmer months? Then I found another very pretty blue and white number. 4.WINTER SNOW PICTURES. With the big snow we had last week not necessarily the “epic snowmageddon” the media pegged it as but a big snow nevertheless, it was the perfect opportunity to snap away. Looks like I will get another opportunity to take more snow pictures with another storm coming Sun night into Monday.
Unfortunately my cameras battery was dead so I used my trusty iPad. This should give you an idea of the amount of snow we were bombarded with. But, let me say it could have been much much worse so I will live in my frozen tundra and not complain:)
5. MY NEW MONOGRAM NAPKINS! I announced on Friday the newest addition to my online shop and I am so excited over these! Monogrammed napkins on beautiful hemstitched napkins offered in a variety of colors. I want a set in every color. I had fun playing, take a look. 6.SUPERBOWL FOOD!! I cannot not include something about the Superbowl…I feel it would almost be sacrilegious! As mentioned earlier we are having a get together. It is impromptu so I am just as of now figuring out what I am serving, it’s all tapas/finger foods. Here is what is on my? menu plus a recipe for these super delish and very easy taco bites-
Sliders (hamburger and chicken), sushi, a platter of guac, salsa and hummus, mini crab balls w/remoulade, baked brie, mini taco bites,? hot crab dip, and finally a Mediterranean salad. I think its safe to say no one will walk away hungry……

7. BEST SUPERBOWL COMMERCIALS. Yes this is heavy on the Superbowl because after all the commercials are a HUGE part of this iconic event. So here is a very cute compilation of 25 of the funniest Superbowl commercials ever, included are definitely some of my all time faves. That Budweiser? commercial with the Clydesdale to the Rocky music is one of my all time faves.. This gave me a really good laugh…..

The blue and white pillows are fabulous…redecorating a boys bedroom this summer and I still love the paint color so several of those pillows will work for me.

I am envious of all your snow. We’ve had less than the average amount here on our California mountain top. It seems the east coast is getting it all as we fight drought here. Those lovely Tory Burch dresses would be perfect for our current weather. Love them!
We thought of you and said a prayer for the safety of our friends back east during this storm. I am glad to know you are well, but look at that snow…even your loggia got blasted! Thank goodness you have a good plowing service!
Enjoy your day at home. We are staying in as well because it is FREEZING out here today! The last few days in Minneapolis have been unusually warm, but our true colors have come back to say, “Winter is NOT over yet, folks!”

As a fabric nut, there are never too many linens in my closet. The napkins you display have great colors, a nicely finished edge and interesting fonts. Great choices. Even with all those enticing choices, I still prefer my grandmother’s suggestion of ivory napkins with ivory (Manhattan) thread. I still like it.
Love that b&w dress Tina.. in fact I had it up on my last blog post I need to order it for the summer;) So many great things in your post today and I’m off and running getting for Super Bowl…….. so I will come back later to take a second look. You are so sweet to put my IG up again.
Re/ those little faux peonies: they are so pretty and I cannot believe that they are so reasonable priced. I have spent SO much money on flowers over the years and these are by far the prettiest.
