Good Sunday morning to you…hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend. Here, getting back in the saddle with a lot of work on my desk but having had 5 days to decompress and disconnect a bit from my everyday life has allowed me to come back and approach it with new vigor and enthusiasm, so it’s “all good”!
I just cannot believe in a matter of weeks summer is actually winding down as the back to school craze cranks up……boy did this summer fly. I feel like I didn’t even get to indulge in enough lobster roll binges:)As I do every Sunday, I am sharing with you seven things on my radar. And here we go……
?
1.MY OBSESSION WITH BARNS.? I could have spent all day on this site, Heritage Barns. It is no secret that I love barns and dream of buying a “lady of leisure and gentleman’s” farm one day and naturally I need one of these barns if we ever make that plunge. Doesn’t get prettier than the barns over at Heritage Barns, click here to visit them. Here is a sampling of their fabulous work…….
2. SOME FUN ANTHROPOLOGIE FINDS. I love popping into my local Anthropologie, kudos to their buyers for find always unique fun items. Every now and then, I find an exceptional bunch of goodies, best part is the prices, all very affordable:)? Thought these were worth sharing-
Love this topper for a birthday cake, talk about elevating an ordinary cake..adorable! Click here for info
How wonderful are these charming door knockers and such a deal (bought one as part of a housewarming gift) Click here for info
Had to indulge in a few of these beautiful pieces for my kitchen…..LOVE them. Click here for information
And these are so precious, bought a few for various birthdays that are coming up:) Click here for details
Put together a recent group gift for a friend whose kitchen is white with touches of red and black so we bought her a few of these items, she flipped! Click here for details
And finally how great are these, add them to a white tablecloth, a blue and white vessel filled with hydrangeas and you are good to go! Click here for more info
I have bought these by the dozen, they are SO beautiful and look very expensive, I have paired them with my “good” stemware and they are fabulous, the delicate etch work is stunning (also love the large scale) Click here for info
And had to buy this, my old apron has seen better days, so this one is much anticipated and will get much use! Click here to order
3. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST So much to enjoy this week, I was particularly smitten with a few pooches as you can see and always have to throw in a picture or two of anything having to do with ginger jars:) Plus found some great new accounts that I just had to share!
My absolute fave of the week was this…..just the cutest!!
4. TRAVELING ABROAD? Then this handy list is for you…..some of the top destinations have been included here along with “insider tips” gathered from over 55,000 members, including everything from the best museums, restaurants and hotels. Worth keeping!
5. NANCY GONZALEZ. These bags could do me in, her line has never looked better, soooo many beautiful bags, I cant stand it! Here are some of my absolute faves. I am a believer in quality over quantity, and tend to buy expensive bags however they last me a very long time.
Many of my bags I have had for over 10 or 12 years and still enjoy them so I never really feel guilty taking a plunge for a wonderful bag which I know I will use for years and years.. Kind of like the gift that keeps on giving, I am going to have a hard time saying no to one of these beauties……..
6. LAST CHANCE! *****PRESALE AS OF MONDAY MORNING IS OVER, NOT ACCEPTING ANY MORE ORDERS, THANKS FOR YOUR OVERWHELMING RESPONSE**** Don’t forget today is the last day to take advantage of my new blue and white container presale. The response has been overwhelming and you don’t want to miss out if you are in need of a blue and white fix!? I find myself clearing a few shelves here and there and brainstorming as to where I can use some of the pieces I have my eye on:) Click here for the details….
7. TWO NEW RECIPES. I challenged myself at the start of summer to try one recipe? a week and so far I have held up my end of the bargain. I would say the vast majority of “experiments” ended up being winners and definitely worthy of making them again. Two recent tries were these below, easy and sooo delicious. Wanted to share….
Garlic Paremesan potato wedges, these were a piece of cake and were beyond delicious (I used Yukon gold) click here to visit Creme de la Crumb for recipe
I don’t know about you? but I am suddenly starving:) Hope you have a wonderful day, we have a beautiful but hot weekend over here but I am trying to savor every last summer weekend, as before we know it we will be reaching for that sweater (can’t lie and say I am not kind of looking forward though:)? Hope whatever you are up to is fun and relaxing. Thank you as always for stopping in. Until next time…… and enjoyable. Thanks as always for stopping by, until next time…….
Love the Glorious Goldens pictures. We have had a Golden Retriever family member since we got married 29 years ago. We are on our third one now. They have all been so special in their own unique way. Such loving dogs. I love your Teddy pictures, too. He looks like such a sweetheart.
Hi Tina,
Oh, I love old barns too! When we were campaigning for my boss we held a fundraiser in the coolest barn, it had comfortable sofas, chandeliers, candles…it was so gorgeous!! How adorable is that instagram of the white pooch in the bed?! That put a huge smile on my face.
Love,
Deb xo
Seeing Teddy’s photos and the photo of the Goldens in today’s post makes me wonder if their was ever a resolution of the horrible incident with the wolf hybrids? I don’t remember reading of any and I totally understand if there hasn’t been a resolution and you are unable to say anything, but as a dog lover I am just curious. Thanks!
Now that I live in the land of alligators and venomous snakes, I can’t even think of the Nancy purses, but I would have BEFORE they became a reality!! I hope you will come upon some great rugs some time in the future. I am in a quandary about where to find great rugs.
Love those Nancy Gonzalez bags. I, too, have had many quality bags for more than 10 years and still love them as much today as when I first purchased them. Your new recipes look delicious. Can’t wait to try the Garlic Parmesan potato wedges!
I’m with you on the barns – just love to see how people transform the spaces. We went to the most incredible wedding in a converted barn?stunning. Happy Sunday!
Love Sunday posts, even though I read them on Monday. so much inspiration! Those clothes line pups are the cutest! Hope you have a great week! Xo. Leslie
Good Morning Tina! I just realized opened this yesterday and forget to send a comment :} I am going to try to make those potato wedges this week. We are headed back up to Canada and I need a few hearty meal ideas and those will be a hit for sure. Love all you’ve shared here today! Enjoy your Monday.
Well, hello there! I’ve had a hard time getting reacclimatized after 2 weeks of fun, then 2 boys returning from their travels and house guests. Whew! Finally, calming down and coming up for air.
Love that I can count on you for the BEST finds! I’ll be heading to Kansas this week, so will think of you when we get to the big, white barn. Not quite as fancy as these, but still tricked out pretty well.
Love your Anthropology finds?.want it ALL!
Best Instagrams, always. Love those children with the laptop. And, of course, anything by Jeanne!!!
Have some Nancy G. box clutches that I’ve had for years. Her things are exquisite and never go out of style. Would love to add one of these lovelies to my collection.
Have a great day across the Sound. Hot one!

Hi Tina! I feel like we have a standing Monday morning coffee date when I finally get to catch up with your Sunday posts – always fun to check in and see what’s on your radar. I can’t even believe that we are winding down on summer – it’s just racing by! So impressed that you’ve been trying out a new recipe a week, that’s great! I’ll have to remember that challenge. Thanks as always for including one of my Instagram posts in your round up!
Love all your favorite finds – totally agree on the Nancy Gonzalez bags – I loathe any bag with initials ( except for Chanel) and hers are wonderful, well made and classic. I’m heading to the Anthro in Manhasset for those darling napkins and aprons.
You need to do a book and the design, building and decorating of your house.
