Hi friends, and happy 2016!!? This is my very first post of the new year…..I had started this post prior to my getaway and then abandoned it and scheduled what had posted thinking I would resume my Seven on Sunday next week however I so missed being on my blog and being in blogland in general that I decided to finish this one up early this morning. So….how are you? And how were your holidays? Ours went by so fast, in the blink of an eye Christmas has come and gone, we rang in the new year and lo and behold 2016 is here!!
I don’t know about you but I am more than ready to open up a new chapter to a new year. So many things on my bucket list and that I hope to achieve this year….more on that next week. In the meantime, I am back and well rested and ready to roll up my sleeves and get back to work. Here we go with my Seven on Sunday….
1? WHY I WANT TO PLAN A PARTY. Does it sound ridiculous that I want to plan a party just so I can use mini champagne bottles as part of my party planning? I am flipping over these….they are all so stinkin cute! I love the idea of placing one at everyone’s place setting or having a huge tub filled with them with little straws attached, now looks like all of the champagne makers have jumped on the wagon…..
2 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST I so missed sharing these with you and Instagram was one social media that I was able to stay on track with, it is so easy to follow. Many of these are Christmas related, not sure about you but I never tire of gorgeous inspiring Christmas images. But there’s a healthy dose of beauty, fashion and adorable tots throw in too:)
And last but not least…if I could convince one of my sons to have a blue and white wedding, how amazing would it be for them and all their groomsmen to wear a different blue and white bow tie!
3. ONE GORGEOUS WEDDING!? Love this elegant backyard wedding on the eastern shore of Maryland. A wedding is far far away from happening on this end….as none of my boys are seriously involved with anyone but boy, when they are I will do everything in my power to plan the wedding (lets hope the brides mother is really passive and easy going lol). I thought this was so elegant in an understated way and extra brownie points for the use of blue and white!! Click here to see more.…
4 A FABULOUS BAG. Got this bag about a month ago and cannot tell you how much I love it, also I am a huge Ferragamo fan (being a lover of anything with bows). It has a long crossbody chain so it can be easily worn during the day and is large enough for a tube of lipstick, a small wallet and phone but it can also be dressed up and worn without the chain as a clutch, which was great as I needed a new black evening bag. I am just loving this little bag and Ferragamo to me, is the height of classic timeless elegance, something about that bow:) Click here for more info
5. A HANDY CHART. I saw this and immediately kept it for safe keeping, just a brilliant compilation of information, worth sharing!
6. NATIONAL GINGERBREAD CONTEST! Who knew? Certainly not I….but why not, there seems to be a competition for just about everything else….these are unbelievable works of art. I think I need to step up my gingerbread house game, considering the last one was a total flop:) Click here to enter for next year

7. A FEW NEW APPS WORTH KNOWING ABOUT. Along with a new year comes a bunch of? incredible new apps. A few that I have found out about via a friends nephew who works at PC Magazine are the following-
Easilydo- Don’t we all wish we had our own personal assistant? Well…..here is the next best thing! This much hyped about app seems to be one we should not live without!
Last Pass-are you? like me and always forgetting your gazillion passwords to everything that requires a password? Yep, you have company, lots! This is a great app which I will be downloading today!
Hopper- like to travel? This much talked about app analyzes millions of flights at your fingertips, can predict when airfares will go up and down and can result in you saving up to 40% off of airfare!
Enlight- considered to be one of the best apps for photo editing in seconds all of those pictures on your iPhone, this app is incredible!!
It’ll Turn Up- This app was developed by a longtime friend whose idea is brilliant! Ever lose something and know you won’t get it back? Well once this app goes viral, that may never happen again…..you simply must download the free app, “It’ll turn up”, where you can report a lost or found item anywhere…..genius! Click here to watch video as to how it works.
Anything here get your attention? What’s new in your world? Hope your 2016 is off to a great start! I will take today to catch up on so much from this past week and will be at the warehouse tomorrow overseeing the last of the orders shipping out…and anticipate getting in my long awaited tole chinoiserie and silver container hopefully this week….very excited about that!
I also plan to take down all of my Christmas decorations sometime this week…always bittersweet but all great things come to an end at some time. Wishing you a wonderful and relaxing Sunday, until next time…..
Happy New Year to you and your family Tina! Thank you for another great year of wonderful inspiration and beauty. Your blog brightens my day. Enjoy the beauty of a new year beginning with endless possibilities!
Tina, Happy New Year & I hope you are still celebrating a bit!
Love this Seven on Sunday, all kinds of fabulous imagery, great apps and Instagram to adds !
It is going to be an amazing year ahead and I have left all of my blog friends a message on my site!
Happy New Year, Tina! Thanks for your seven on Sunday Blog! You have inspired me to share the Homeowners Maintenance List with my local Fire Chief. I’m hoping he will be able to use the idea , if the budget permits, as a “tab on” for the local newspaper. Just a brief “Homeowners, replace the batteries in your smoke detectors!” tab on newspaper sticker. If we save lives, how wonderful is that!
I love the mini champagne bottles. What a fun idea to deliver to neighbours early on ?New Year’s Eve. Saving that idea for next year. I also got an idea for next year’s Christmas mantel. I saved the Instagram with the three stars. Your Seven on Sunday is my favourite read for the day. Thank you & Happy New Year!!!
Happy New Year Tina and also to all your fans. Look forward to Seven on Sunday every week. I am such a fan of your blog and must say it is my favorite. I love the class you put into all you
do. Looking forward to 2016 and all your inspiration.
