Hi friends….hope your week is going well. Mine is a busy busy one, and these next ten days I need to be on my “A game”…..cannot afford to be sick or rundown, have way too many balls in the air and doing my best to keep them all in check. Heading out of town for my nieces graduation this weekend then will return with a day in between before I head down south….
Besides working on two large design jobs and going full steam ahead on the new website (which is going to be AMAZING and very much worth all the work) , I am getting ready to head down south to Nashville next week for the preview party on May 11th, at the O’More showhouse where yours truly has been chosen as the honorary chair:) If you live in the area (or even if you don’t but want to take a little trip because you really like me) please come and join the fun…its going to be a wonderful night! Moving along….I have fun with these posts, Color Crush because it gives me a chance to share and be inspired by color combinations that I like or that happen to be on my radar.
A few pictures recently sparked the idea of the gray and white….I like it more than I even realized. I think the key with gray is balancing it with a warm tone, a warm white, beige, a pale blush as an all gray room can appear cold and barren.
When paired correctly, it can be showstopping! I searched high and low through all my sources to bring you the prettiest pictures I could unearth in gray and white. So let’s talk a look at this current color crush at it’s very best. Then your turn to weigh in……
If this doesn’t set the tone for just how pretty gray and white can be, don’t know what will! Splendid Willow

Love this post! We just had our kitchen painted Revere Pewter and we love it. Made my kitchen seem so much brighter. We painted the living room Argos, Sherwin Williams, a gorgeous color, looks great with gold accents. I failed again with the master bath paint, a Behr color “Sculptor Clay”. It’s a really pretty color but looks green next to the travertine. Can’t seem to get the color right in there, even though I did test paint right on the wall. I have painted it three times in 5 years and still not happy with it. You would think travertine would be easy to work with but there are so many colors in it and while variation looks great in the tile, I haven’t had any luck choosing one of those colors for paint. It’s either leaning pink, green, blue, cold. Grays can be difficult to figure out and lighting affects them so much. IMO, gray looks best with lots of natural light and one reason it looks so great on exteriors and when paired with white. I’m using yellows and golds for accents, harder than I thought it would be to get right…!
Congratulations on being Honorary Chair!! Wish I lived close enough to attend! Love every one of these grey and white pictures. I admit I’m a grey and white freak with pops of blue right now. I have lots of revere pewter and edgecomb grey balanced with Ballet White in my house. Much different from the 14 colors I had in my last house. Can’t wait to see your PB designs. Carolyn
Love grey and white and these photos are all fabulous! Love the kitchens! I hope that you have a fabulous week! Congratulations again on the honorary chair at the show house.
Hi Tina, the kitchen photo (4th down) with grey cabs and rough hewn shelves belong to my friend Diana from Our Vintage Home Love blog. She had a beautiful blog!
Love all the grey and white in today’s post. Our home is based in grey and white with lots of blue and it all works to create such a calm and relaxing environment. Thank you as always for your wonderful design inspirations!
I love grey and white, that skirt is so sweet and lovely!! Thank you for sharing this palette, it will be very useful for future painting projects. Good luck with all of your projects!!
Congratulations on the Honorary Chair. I am excited for you. We love going to Franklin anytime we visit Nashville. I would love to visit the show house and see your work in person. Best of luck!
Such great inspiration with these photos. I just changed the color in my kitchen to??yes, from your list of BM paints. I used number three, Revere Pewter for the walls, black island and hutch and white cabinets. My love affair is ongoing and I am thinking about taking it throughout. Honestly, it is a great neutral used with while trim. I would love to get to Nashville to say hello, congratulations on being named Honorary Chair!
Many congratulations on your Chairmanship honour, you will be wonderful and I loved the powder room mood board,
I have loved chinoiserie walls all my life, and have used deGournay on my projects here in England. But I have longed to try and paint some myself ( when feeling exceptionally brave ) in my own house.
The beautiful bedroom in your post today has given me an extra confidence, the soft greys are so restful and understated. Gorgeous
Have a wonderful week, you will do everything… you know you will 🙂
Much love
Sally xx
