The porcelain container arrived! For anyone who placed a presale order in May, those orders are starting to go out tomorrow and will continue through the week:)
Hello friends! Hope you are enjoying a beautiful weekend, here its hot, hot hot. I was back home for a few days after being in Montauk and then came back out yesterday. Could not ignore the allure of the beach and almost always breezy Montauk during a heart wave:) Nothing like being at the beach with the waves crashing at your feet, plus I cannot think of anywhere I would rather be than by the ocean….total bliss.
Heading back first thing in the morning and won’t get much beach time this week as the second part of the container came Friday so tomorrow will be spent unloading/organizing and then starting to ship out orders. It is a very busy work week ahead so enjoying my downtime and mustering up all my energy. Moving along to the fun stuff…..
Here we go with my Seven on Sunday…
1 ONE GORGEOUS PARTY! Cannot believe I missed this! The minute I saw just a snippet of this party from my friends iPhone, I knew I had to investigate. Then I find out its a party we were invited to, a fundraiser for God’s Love We Deliver. Just for the decor alone, it would have been worth it, but then its such a wonderful cause…bummer.
So from a variety of sources I found these most gorgeous pictures….this is right up my alley! All that blue and white against the rich, lush green just takes me breath away. Getting ideas for one of my sons future weddings…or maybe I should consider renewing my vows:)

2. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST So much beauty today, some reflecting the joys of summer, beautiful food to stylish interiors, there is a little bit of everything-
This nursery sent me over the edge, this is exactly how I always envisioned a beautiful nursery to be….perfection!
3. HAMPTONS HIGHLIGHTS. I love to include highlights from my beach time. Such simple but fulfilling pleasures….doesn’t get better, at least not to me. And it sure reminds me how important it is to take time out to take care of yourself and to disconnect even for a little bit. Makes all the difference in the world when you give yourself time to “recharge” , add sunshine, the beach and farmstands……it’s the trifecta of happiness.
Loved hitting the Montauk farmers markets with a few friends-
Had a beautiful dinner at Scarpetto Beach-
Awaiting a few friends arrival
4. INCREDIBLE EXCITING NEW ENCHANTED HOME GOODIES. I am BEYOND excited about the Christmas ornaments and the Provence planters, they are really coming along and are officially in production…..woo hoo!
Many of you have asked about them, I will be holding a 3 day presale on both the ornaments and planters this coming week. I will have both of these by mid Sept.
Just loving how these planters have turned out, and cannot wait for my own little stash:) They will be offered in white, black and a pale blue/gray. During the presale however there will be the opportunity to custom order a specific color you might have in mind. As you know these are thousands…you still be floored by what I will be offering them for, trust me:) Here is an “in progress” peek-
5. And the gorgeous Christmas ornaments are in production as we speak and you can look for a presale on them this coming week (as many of you have asked). Very excited about decorating a blue and white tree:) This was something I have dreamed about for over a year and for it to finally be coming to fruition is just thrilling.
This is a sample of what is to come, there will be 5-6 different ball styles in 4″ and 5″. Four different pagodas 4″ and 5″ and 6 different ginger jar styles 4″ and 5″. They will be sold in 4″s and a bulk discount will be offered for orders of 36 or more. Stay tuned, the presale will be posted probably on Wed. Excited about these!!
6. ROBERTA ROLLER RABBIT Are you familiar with this brand? It is one of my all time faves for super comfy, soft cotton beachy robes, pjs, casual summer tunics and small accessories like travel bags. I love the prints, they just make me happy and of course I am particularly fond of the blues! There is a great sale happening which I took advantage of last week while in East Hampton…..I live in these robes and pjs. Click here to visit.
Helped myself to a glass of Rose, channeled my “inner Ina” and at the sake of sounding like I am being a braggart made a pasta that frankly I will put on the record is one of the best I have ever had, yes it was that good!
Very excited to share it with you, I only snapped a few quick pics with my iPhone as I didn’t make a huge batch (made it for my hubs) and my son was eyeballing it from afar so I had to act quick. Best part? Easy! Just a few key ingredients….
Fresh basil, vine ripe tomatoes and lemon infused olive oil is a great starting point!
Friend brought me this excellent Rose to Montauk, so good I will be buying it again.
And a few quick closeups
What you need-
Lemon infused olive oil
lots of garlic (( used about 8-10 average sized cloves)
Big cluster of fresh basil
6 med or 3 large very ripe tomatoes
1 med or 2 small baby eggplant
Pasta (thin spaghetti or whatever you prefer)
Fresh Parmesan
So in a skillet I heated up the lemon olive oil with the garlic cloves (did not chop), cut the eggplant into small cubes (about the size of dice) and sauteed for about 10-15 min.
Put it aside and added more olive oil and sauteed the tomatoes with about 14 basil leaves (cut up). Meanwhile in a large pot boil the pasta until its very al dente (it will continue to cook a bit even after removed from water).
I also made a small salad of mixed greens, cucumber, ripe tomatoes, avocado, squeezed the juice of one lemon and added a drizzle of the lemon olive oil and pinch of sea salt and pepper…yum!
Saute the eggplant and tomato mixture and season with sea salt and pepper. Add the cooked pasta to the mixture and mix well. Add fresh Parmesan on top and about a tablespoon of freshly chopped basil. If you are feeling very decadent add a few slices of crusty Tuscan bread and enjoy…..
OK now I am hungry:) Hope you enjoyed the post….anything here excite or delight you? Hope you are having a wonderful and relaxing weekend, thanks for stopping in. Until next time…..

Love this post – I’d love to have a blue and white christmas tree with those ornaments – it would be so pretty! On another note, have you always had marble counters, or are they new? I seem to remember your counters were granite at some point? Or maybe I’m mixing it up???
Your pasta looks so yummy! Did you make it using some of the fabulous veggies from the Montauk Farmers Market? That market looks like it’s a food paradise, the cheese…swoon……. Sorry you missed that great looking party. Looks like they took a few clues from you with all that blue & white. Wishing you a wonderful Sunday!
Oh my goodness, I’ve been wanting Versailles planters since I first saw them in a private garden in Bath, England 20 years ago but sadly they have always been too expensive. Can’t wait to see if they are in my budget!
Thank you Tina for sharing your pasta recipe. I tried it last night and it was delicious. That got me out of my cooking rut! My partner and I really enjoyed it.
