Hello and how is your week going? Here, busy and starting to hear whispers of fall, back to school, sweater weather and its always bittersweet for me, not having school aged kids anymore. I give myself a week or to mope when I see school buses and eager kids all excited for a new year….gotta admit, I loved every minute of it.
And now that our house is truly empty with all three boys gone, it’s hitting me rather hard. The silver lining is I have never been busier, working on some exciting e design projects have all kinds of amazing products heading this way and the holiday season promises to be a bustling and merry one!
I haven’t done one of these in a while where I showcase a favorite color combination. With Palmetto Bluff on my mind, this beautiful duo just might find a place in our future new home. Soft and serene, really lends itself well to anything close to the water. So without further ado, let’s take a look at how beautiful this combination really is, in all it’s many shades-

Tina, what beautiful inspirations. I love several of the rooms that you have showcased! I know that your new home is going to be gorgeous. I hope that you have a great day and a wonderful and safe Labor Day weekend!!!
I’m dreaming of a new lake house (well actually just updating current one)! Since I live in East Texas, the beach is 4 hours away, but while the bass fisherman are on the lake I plan on updating my space. Your photos inspired me to soften my love for blue and white to visions of aqua and cream but absolutely will throw in some touches of coral. Thanks for inspiring me!
Good morning Tina, love this color combination and the beautiful and inspiring pics! A friend used these colors in her Low Country home and it is gorgeous! Hope you have a nice day!
Gorgeous, Tina! I love aqua and cream! Today is a moving day for me…moving my #3 son into a new apartment. Happily, it’s not too far away. Have a great weekend!
Hi Tina –
Yes I do have aqua, grey and chartreuse in my sunroom and love it! I am currently testing paint colors for my library and sea salt by SW is on the top of the list right now…..
Wondering if you have a source for the lamps in the 6th photo of a foyer from BH&G – they would be perfect in my sunroom!
A peaceful, beautiful combo. A universal color compelementary
to all. Go for it Tina, you have excellent taste. Any info on the
area rug? Love it. Thanks for all the dreamy pics. AFN
Gorgeous palette, brings the colors of the water and beach indoors. Especially like the the tan houndstooth fabric on the couches – brings in a masculine influence that stops the room from looking precious. But for a home by the beach, these sun-faded colors are perfect! The beach house in ‘Something’s Gotta Give’ is still my favorite ‘movie’ house for this reason.
Beautiful! Love those colors.. Just moved my last one to college at Ole Miss and her dorm room in those colors turned out beautifully. I know what you mean about empty nest.. it is very quiet and different at our house after having at least one child there for almost 28 years. Hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend.
Love your inspirational rooms. I use aqua and royal blue in several of my rooms and never get tired of it. These colors make me happy!
Can’t wait to see you final picks for your new home!
Hi Tina,

Such a lovely and soothing color palette. And even better with an occasional pop of color to awaken the senses!
This combination is a long-time favorite of mine. I just finished redecorating my kitchen using them and want to carry it into my bedroom now.
Could you share sourcing info for the aqua carpet? It would be perfect in my bedroom. Thank you.
Serene!
Love the rug, too! Could you share the source?
