Hello…hope all is well with you and really hope this posts on time, as I scheduled a few post ahead of time..fingers crossed! As I periodically do I share with you a snippet of my life (the good, pretty and fun only) as seen through pictures I take with my iPbone. Not much narration necessary….hope you enjoy and hope you are having a wonderful week! And here we go….
Sorry to start with something so decadently delicious…..you MUST visit this restaurant Caci if you go to the North Fork (Long Island wine country) the food was UNREAL. Chef Pellegrino is from Umbria and was kind enough to invite us into his kitchen for a little tour and taste test!
Say hello to Chef Marco Pellegrini….this man knows how to cook!
This ice cream above was unreal…..sooooo good!
Tomatoes getting ready for cooking
Every one of their pastas is homemade every single morning
How charming is the outdoor dining area at Caci….very “Napa”
Don’t know if you ever saw the herringbone carpet we put on the back stairs….
Sunlight flooding into the upstairs hallway
You must preorder this book, it is AMAZING! Kudos to Segreto:)
Love any chance to visit a farmstand!
Love coming home with these souvenirs…gets me inspired to make something good!
Inside this building lies THE nirvana of pies….anyone who has had one know what I am talking about!! The ultimate:)
It’s the little things that make me happy…got in a big box of ribbon, should last me a while!
A new vignette in my bedroom
A peek at a holiday arrangement in the works for the shop…it’s going to be a stunner!
Working on these gorgeous fabrics with a client
Boxes, boxes boxes were the theme of this past week……
Had a great time at the opening night party at the US Open with a concert from Phil Collins
Entering the party, the orchids got my attention!
One of the party spaces…loved the black, green and white
Heading in for the matches…
One of the many wineries we stopped into on a picture perfect day
How gorgeous is this spray of purple hydrangea in the blue and white vase!! I love it…and hard to believe they are faux (coming to the shop)
And here is a gargantuan orchid arrangement being made….fabulous!
The view from Prime, where I had lunch with a friend….so pretty and serene
A scene from wine country:)
Darling winery, Clovis Point
Fascinated by these grapes!!
A lunch table with a view
Don’t you love late afternoon sun
Never underestimate the power of a big batch of green apples!
A great design project in the works….love these colors!
You are seeing it here first, a sneak peek of the GORGEOUS ssilver container I just got, there will be a 2 day sale in about a week before it goes online, stay tuned
Never met a vine ripened tomato I didn’t love
One word….YUM!
So those are some of the highlights from this last week or so, certainly an ode to the best of summer. Hope you enjoyed, thanks for stopping in. Wishing you a wonderful day, until next time………
Don’t forget to enter the drawing for the ornaments…winner to be chosen on Sunday. Click here to enter.
I don’t even know where to begin to comment on all the beautifulness in this post!!?? Thanks for giving us a peek into your very beautiful, busy and delcious world. I haven’t even had breakfast yet and I’m craving homemade pasta!
Love the herringbone carpet on the stairs. Just what I’m looking for to replace the old carpet on my stairs. Would you please share your source? Thanks
Nancy Gruskowski
The color palettes for your clients are so gorgeous. I love that silvery blue.
The vineyards look so different from France. The foliage so trimmed, the grapes so untrimmed. Usually some of the bunches are pruned off so the plant concentrates everything into those that remain. Quality over quantity.
There are so many beautiful things on this post that I don’t even know where to start! I love the herringbone carpet on the stairs. I love something with a slight pattern for a stairway. It makes such a statement. I can’t get over the gorgeous faux florals. They look real. I thought they were at first glance. Thanks for sharing all the wonderful inspiration!
As I always say, any day that involves wine tasting is a good day, indeed! I’m looking forward to fall but will sure miss the delicious produce, especially tomatoes, of summer!!
Hello Tina. I follow your blog religiously! I’ve been trying without success to determine who manufactures the pug fabric on your gorgeous chairs. I own a darling pug named Henry and he would adore this fabric! I even have an antique shop named The Velvet Pug! So, you see, I simply must have that fabric. Thank you! Susan Gates
Love the herringbone carpet! Also enjoyed the fabrics selected for clients. If I may ask, where do you purchase your ribbon from? I have noticed that less is being offered in stores locally and I love beautiful ribbon to tie up packages and such! Thanks for posting…and making me hungry for a good pie!!! Lol!
Gorgeous, gorgeous silver! Love the herringbone pattern stair runner. Those beautiful faux flowers and arrangements are beautiful! The afternoon sunlight floating through the upstairs hallway is mesmerizing. It draws my eye to the wall paint color. Do you know the brand and name. So serene..had to take a deep breath. So sweet of you to take us along on your vacation..the sights..hope you are having a wonderful getaway! It appears to be the case! Enjoy every minute!

I grew up across the water from Prime. Love Huntington and Prime! I was also at the Open same day as you. Small world.
In the car on a road trip to Palmetto Bluff! Can’t wait!
FABULOUS!! franki
Great blog! Really loved the orchids so much. I like large pieces. They look the best in my home. Bigger the better.

Tina,
I hope that you are relaxing, reading and enjoying the beach.
I love a good farm stand, especially the peaches and tomatoes! And if they sell pies and sweet treats then I love them more!
Beautiful photos!
