Sorry I am so late to the party…better late than never:)
Hello! I was so excited and flattered to have been included to join a very talented group of fellow bloggers for a new blog tour, Styled and Set featuring holiday entertaining. It runs for a week and is a week long plethora of holiday inspired posts.
This week will feature fall/Thanksgiving inspired posts and in about a month we will do a Christmas week. Suffice to say you will find all the ideas and inspiration you could dream of having from this amazing round up of bloggers and their ideas!
Today’s post is all about Thanksgiving/fall and what I do in my home. I host it just about every year and it is possibly my favorite season or few reasons. I mean let’s get real- any excuse to load up on all the traditional Thanksgiving fixings topped with warm pecan pie is good enough reason. But the fact that it’s all about togetherness and family without an iota of attention given to gifts make the family time extra sweet:)
We always watch old family movies, play a few games and end it with a great movie that we ALL watch together ( a rarity). So here is what fall looks like around my home…….
I enjoy setting a pretty table and try to change things up from year to year. Don’t think I have ever had a blue and white Thanksgiving but this year I just may:) I experimented with my pretty Blue Mikado china and must say I really like it:) I am just staring to “play”, here is a sneak peek of my playing in progress-
(sorry these pictures were taken at night due to my crazy schedule so they are a little dark)
And I always enjoy announcing fall’s arrival with changing my planters and adding pumpkin to my “front door scape”. This year went an all white theme which I must say, I am loving. It is clean and classically elegant. Added giant white pumpkins then added the two “faux stone” pumpkins on the smaller urns in front. Topped with white mums in all the planters, it’s all set-
Above are the faux stone pumpkins (looks like they weigh a ton but I can pick them up with one hand)
Always love the look of beautiful white mums
Funnily enough my giant white real pumpkins have taken on a patina so they match my faux pumpkins quite nicely:)
And added small touches throughout, nothing crazy just small pretty little reminders that fall is here, adore my handpainted chinoiserie pumpkins from The Relished Roost-
I LOVE magnolia leaves, in fact am kind of obsessed with them. So I love any chance to use them here and there, and found a few places throughout the house to display a couple of arrangements. The addition of fresh greens (cut from outside) and large pine cones is a pretty addition and so very easy!
Hope you enjoyed seeing my home all dressed up for fall…..you absolutely need to check out what the others have done. You will thank me, so many wonderful and inspiring ideas. Thanks for stopping in. Until next time…..
Tina, I love the architectural details of your home! The pumpkins and mums really set off your gorgeous entryway! And of course, you always set an amazing table. Your dinnerware, flatware, stemware … all beautifully curated!
Tina, your home’s entryway looks so elegant; I love all the white! Your arrangements with the magnolia leaves is just the right touch and they look great in the black planters. I would, however, put the miniature white pumpkins at your place settings on the plates; they look odd on the mint julep cups. Love the shape of the silver chargers.
Setting the tone at the front door in a most spectacular way is the way to say Happy Thanksgiving!! Its incredible! Your elegant home deserves an elegant tablescape of course, and the chargers under the blue and whites look amazing. Well done, and I am so happy to be partying together today!
So lovely and so many great ideas! White mums are fall’s answer to daisies. They five of the same happy vibe! Now I’m off to check out the other contributors!Have a wonderful weekend, Tina!
Your tablescape is beautiful Tina. I love seeing your new square chargers in action, makes me want to order a whole bunch! And the cute white pumpkin in the Mint Julep Cup is so sweet. Your Thanksgiving is getting off to a terrific start. Thanks for the inspiration. I’m anxious to click away on all the other sites for more inspiration.
To a thank you for sharing. So in love with white pumpkins. I added the ornamental cabbages to mine yesterday. It’s soooo fall!
Have a great weekend

What do I love? Everything !!
The front door is stunning and so beautifully different & elegant in the whites.
Love the mixing of everything on the table, especially loving the etched glass crystal stems.
You make me want to “get it all out right this minute.”
Maybe I will !!
Your blog has inspired me! I’ve had so much fun decorating for the fall season. I also host our Thanksgiving celebrations and can’t wait to set my table this year! Thank you for your inspiration and for sharing your talents!
I love the look of your planters! So many beautiful pumpkins! As for your tables cape, it is stunning, any guest would be delighted to sit at your dinner table.
Tina, I just love the square silver tray used as chargers!! It’s really magnificent and sets the table apart. Also love the way your entry looks with all that white and stone fall deliciousness! And yum to the magnolia leaves!! I always love the way they look but haven’t used them myself yet. This could be the year… 🙂 Beautiful post!
Tina! Everything from your table to your doorstep is absolutely fabulous! I am so in love with the napkins on your table! I will have to hunt some down to add to my collection! You are amazing! xo
