As I always stress, clarity, lighting and size are really really important. It is usually best to take your picture during natural daylight. I always include some favorites (but there are many more) from years past, as there are so many that are a prime example of what makes a “good picture”. Please use these pictures below as as gauge as to what a good picture should look like, straight, bright, crisp and defined colors, quality counts and most phone cameras do the trick:)
So start thinking about your submissions and we cannot wait to see your pictures! Here are a few great examples from years past-

I always thought it was so difficult to decorate for Christmas, since my decor is ALL blue/white and holiday colors focus on red & green. Your site has completely changed my thinking! I can finally add holiday touches to the house without abandoning my fecor, thanks to your insight and talented and creative suggestions.
I AM IN NO WAY AFFILIATED WITH THIS ORGANIZATION, BUT DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON AND OTHER TIMES OF THE YEAR AS WELL, WE MAY WANT TO CONSIDER THIS LINK:

Your tribute pictures of Teddy.
I think of my sweet Bell who went to the Rainbow Bridge over a year
