Fresh off the heels from a nice visit to my little happy place, Palmetto Bluff. I went with my sister and we had such a nice time. The weather was gorgeous and made for the best late afternoon pool and bike riding sessions. It wasn’t all play, had plenty of work to do too but must say the relaxed pace that is woven into daily life there really agrees with me. It always takes a few days to readjust coming back to the hustle and bustle in NY!
In any case, progress is being made, it’s baby steps but still exciting to watch this house turn into a true home. It already feels like home the minute I unlock the door. My favorite thing is no doubt sitting on the porch whether for an early morning cup of coffee or a late day glass of wine/cocktail…it is seriously the most relaxing place. I watch the birds and wildlife and hear only the sound of rustling trees…it is sublime!
So as I periodically do, I share with you the latest and here it is-

First morning there, a cup of coffee and quiet = heaven!
Got my beautiful new linen monogrammed towels to add to various bathrooms:) It’s something the little things that make you happy.
Few things are as relaxing as sitting on our porch with a glass of wine in the late afternoon
Morning sun with a cup of coffee
Love watching the little boats go by:)
And the brave kayakers, I say brave because let’s not forget there are alligators! But it doesn’t stop many.
From the kitchen looking into the great room
Our small study, which is a cozy great space- just added the blinds and was testing them out!
I set up my desk in the back of the study and love the view behind me
My bedroom is coming together, “tried out” this center pillow and since decided to use another
Hallway off master got our beautiful small Greek key belljars, looks great!
New fixture in dining room which was worth the wait! (Visual Comfort)
Love that great big window walking down the stairs it allows for a ton of light to come through
Absolutely love my custom pillows for my living room couches:)
Added these “new addition” velvet pillows to the living room chairs
Got my new mirror for the main powder room, it is perfect (to me). How cute are these ginger jar linen guest towels!
Had these beautiful pillows made for upstairs window seat (fabrics from Thibaut) and the bench cushion made (waiting on cover)
And so excited to finally have a place to use one of my navy bamboo lantern, it is perfect for my cherry blossom wallpapered powder room
Love the wallpaper choice of the blue/white cherry blossoms, it is so fresh and happy! Jar was changed to a smaller one, this was just a stand in:) New mirror on the way
Love my new fixture in my dining room after waiting on it for almost 4 months!
Had a new neighbor stop by for a glass of wine and made my “go to” appetizer of brushetta and fruit, can never go wrong with that1
And so many of you asked many different questions about a whole host of things, so if you want to see my replies to many of your questionsclick here to see this post.
As I always do I include my list of “gold star” recommendations. All tried and true and most definitely trades that I highly recommend (click on title of business to visit the website)-
And that’s the latest….just looking at this post has me wishing I was there right this minute! We still have plenty to do, like adding more accessories, paintings, a foyer chest and mirror, etc….but the basics are just about done and that feels like a huge accomplishment. The rest is just gravy:) Thanks for sharing this fun journey with me, will continue to update you as things happen:)

Your home in Palmetto Bluff is beautiful and that view is so calming. I love that large window as you come down the staircase and another great view. I can see why this is your “happy place.”
Hi Tina – where did you buy the sofa back table in your great room? It looks like it opens up with hinges? Light wood ? Would love one just like it. Thanks, Jill
Is there anything that you are unable to do–I think not? Your talents are never ending. You are even an incredible photographer which is very obvious in these most recent pictures from your Palmetto Bluff beauty. It is always a treat, indeed, to view your interior design talents. Thank you for sharing. Having been a South Carolina girl my entire life, it’s a pleasure to see how much you love it too now. We can now call you “a Carolina girl.”
Beautiful. Just a lovely place to be. And those kayakers are brave! I’d stick with bikes. Much safer. So happy you are enjoying that gorgeous back porch!
Palmetto Bluff’s is spectacular. I absolutely adore everything that you have done to it. Tina, when I look out of the windows of your house, the views are fantastic. I bet you miss it all the time when you are away!
Can you please tell me where you purchased your blue and white tissue holder? I haven’t been able to find it if it’s in your shop.
Thanks Tina!
Hey Tina,
I just bought two of the silver scalloped lamps for my dining table. I love them they are beautiful! Question do you use a real votive candle in them or a battery votive? Thanks!

Hope your lovely home didn’t suffer damage from hurricane Michael.
Love the mirror in the main powder room. Can I ask where that is from?
Such a pretty spot and lovely home! Have to admit that those kayakers are braver souls than I – I prefer my gators as a belt or handbag.
Wow Tina. It is all coming together so beautifully. You are amazing!
Where did you purchase the large ginger jars on top of table behind sofa and the ones on the console in the bedroom hall ❓
What a beautiful place!!! The blue and white bathroom is amazing!!
