Hello! Can you believe its actually the Sunday before Christmas!! I can’t………part of me is happy it’s finally here, the buildup was putting me over the edge and I am really looking forward to an even year, 2020! I have a thing for even numbers:)
But there is no denying the magic of the season and it is unlike any other. It is such a beautiful time of year, every where you look, the festivity feels a bit contagious. My husband talked me into doing a Christmas party after all, somewhat scaled down. (about 50 people) and though I was initially hesitant, I found myself happy that we were officially ushering in the holidays with family coming over to celebrate. Somehow our party seems to put the stamp on the holiday season for us and other family members/close friends 🙂 So this is what I will be busy with this weekend!
Plus it will give me a chance to show off my front door which I am kind of obsessed with and will keep it this way as long as it looks green and fresh…..Valentine’s Day? No problem!
I am however, really looking forward to Sunday, knowing that three huge things are behind me- the photo shoot, the crazy rush of December in my office and my holiday party. Now it’s full steam ahead into a gift wrapping frenzy (thankfully have a lifetime of supply of gift wrap)!
And then preparing for a small, intimate dinner on Christmas eve and Christmas day. Some of our plans have changed but I am focusing on all the good things this holiday season and there is plenty. Onward to this weeks Seven on Sunday….
1 BEAUTIFUL FLOWER MAGAZINE This magazine has become a big deal as of late and for good reason. Their articles are amazing, beautiful content, interesting varied styles and just extremely tastefully done.
I am happy to announce that our home was photographed for their Christmas issue 2020! It was a fun, long day and you certainly gain a true appreciation for the art of photography when you are witness to a. magazine shoot. So stay tuned for next year! Meantime, here are some fabulous pictures from this years issue.
2 INSPIRING STORY OF THE WEEK I so love this, it makes me cry every time I see it. A beautiful reminder that this is the real meaning of the holidays. I could watch this all day long, such a touching and poignant moment between the most vulnerable and the ultimate care giver.
3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Consider this one last holiday hoorah before Christmas! But let’s end with a bang, soooo many amazing and inspiring images (taking a few ideas for next year:)
4Â LITTLE WOMEN COMING SOON! Louisa May Alcott’s novel was one of my all time favorites as a young girl and I am so excited about it hitting the big screen on Christmas day. So much so I may have to go see it that night…..looks AMAZING. I feel like I know each of the sisters having read it several times but look forward to the movie adaptation. Cannot wait-
5 TWIGG STUDIOS Discovered this food blogger/photographer and am a bit obsessed. The artistry, creativity and sheer beauty of both her creations and photography is amazing, I love seeing what she comes out with next. Kind of makes me feel like I went back in time…..there is such a moodiness to these images. What she does with that pasta infused with basil, mint and petals…she is like a Van Gogh of food.
And never have I wanted to done a house dress and sit down to a hot bowl of porridge (in these pictures the word soup does not seem appropriate)..lol. Click here for here instagram

6 WOODSTOCK INN IN VERMONTÂ We almost went here two weekends ago, then our other plans fell apart, because it was too much pressure to be away and then have to come home with a photo shoot happening the very next day.
I will tell though this place is everything you imagine Christmas in Vermont to be…super duper charming, a nod to the past, and relaxing as it is beautiful. If you ever have the chance to go…you should, it really is a slice of nostalgic heaven especially around the holidays! Click here for info or to plan your visit!
7 SUNDAYS SURVEY OK about to start a new year! For me personally, though there were certainly some amazing highs, overall our family had to endure some difficulties. I am happy to put 2019 behind me and eager to start a brand new year and with a penchant for even numbers, feeling like 2020 is going to be a good one!
How would you rate your 2019 and how excited are you for a brand new year?
And that is a wrap for this Sunday, the last Seven on Sunday before Christmas!! Wishing everyone well as we all scramble to tend to those last minute inevitable details and things to do. I know for me, the next two days are going to be busy, busy but would I expect anything else? No! Until next time……
I just want to say Merry Christmas….and thank you! I have enjoyed your posts and look forward to more. I know how much time and effort you put into it and want you to know you’re appreciated. I especially love your “Seven on Sundays.” Thank you for sharing and blessings to you in 2020.
Fondly, Marta
I, too, want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas. I hope that you can relax and enjoy the day with your family.
Your Instagram shots were stunning! I especially love all the dogs crowded into the back of the car and the dog sitting on the table. He looks so guilty; too cute!
That in located in Vermont looks beautiful. And, that blue bedroom!
Can’t wait to see your home in the magazine next year.
My husband also talked me into hosting our annual party this year. And like you, I’m so glad we did! Last year at this time he was recuperating from cancer surgery, so we passed on the party. His health is terrific now and our new motto is: Life is short; have the party, taken the trip, buy the dress and always, always eat dessert! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Merry Christmas! Your front door is simply stunning! Thank you for everything you do, it’s such a pleasure to read your blog and see all the beautiful photos. My new Provence Planters are perfect at our front steps! Wishing you a wonderful 2020!
The photos from the website of Woodstock inn are lovely. However, did you not read the 111 average, 46 poor and 27 terrible TripAdvisor reviews of the Inn complaining about how badly the rooms needed renovating, updating and cleaning, Tina ? Let alone the other complaints like non-existing sound proofing, poor water pressure in the bathrooms, how the website photos don’t match reality, etc? I find it is really helpful to do through research before making assumptions about how great a place is.
I’m an even girl also! I never thought of it that way until my 12 yr old granddaughter said on day that she and I are alike in that we are both “even girls”!
My prayer is that you will have a most wonderful Christmas and that 2020 will be a fabulous year for you and your family
Tina,
Excellent Seven on Sunday. I am now following some of your Instagram recommendations. I thought my gingerbread house was pretty special until I saw the one that was from GingerGiddy…..makes me want to up my game next year! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you. Hard to believe a new decade is starting!
Your posts are always spot-on, but this one especially captured the beauty and magic of the holiday season. It’s difficult to recreate that feel here in Florida, but just viewing this Seven on Sunday really put me in the Christmas spirit. Happy holidays to you and your loved ones, and may the New Year 2020 bring you many blessings and great joy!
Thank you, Tina, for your wonderful posts throughout the years. Your eye for beauty and joy comes through with each presentation. I always look forward to Seven on Sunday along with your decorating tips, recipes, and pictures of your beautiful home. Your zest for life is always so uplifting! Although we have never met I will always treasure your kindness to me upon the passing of my husband in 2016. I hope 2020 is filled with peace and good health for you and your family. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you and your loved Ones, Tina.
Thank you for all of the joy and enchantment this year.
Sending wishes i
of health and happiness for 2020.
I am “even number” person, too!
Isn’t it wonderful when we come to December 23rd and realize it’s all falling into place? We are as ready as we can be, and if a present isn’t wrapped or we didn’t make that batch of cookies, it is okay? Just give me a snowfall on Christmas Eve (that doesn’t happen here often, but in Syracuse? yes, please!), a warm fire and all is well for a bit.
Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas, and sending prayers for your mom.
The one beautiful thing I could count on this year was your Sunday post. I look forward to see what you’ve been up to and what you found for us to drool over. Today’s was outstanding. I want to visit every place and the food photos are frame worthy. 2019 was not the healthiest year for me but 2020 is looking more promising. I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a healthy happy new year.
Hi Tina I still look forward to Sundays because I really enjoy these posts so much, I’ve learned so much and found so many good Instagram accounts to follow because of these!
Live an hour from the Woodstock Inn and we are there every single Thanksgiving with visiting family, it is a gem of a place.
Love flowers magazine, and congratulations on the feature, very exciting!
Wanted to let you know that I got my etch hurricanes and the house tray on the same day and they were both even more beautiful in person, thank you!
Hi Tina, wishing you and your family the happiest Christmas and every blessing in the new “even” year of 2020! I am also a nurse, and the video was very touching to me. Sometimes the best healing we can do with our patients is to just BE with them and be real. Very sweet moment between them. Thank you for bringing us such beauty all the year, it is very inspiring. And God bless your Mom. xx Sherry
Thank you for a great year of posts and lovely things in my home. I love your enthusiasm and to keep going and keep decorating even when things aren’t as they used to be with so many vacant places at our table. It’s still good to be thankful for all the memories and to joyfully celebrate what is here today not just past and all the beauty that is still ever-present in each day.

Great instagrams- we were at Woodstock Inn last year for a wedding and had the best time, it is just beautiful.
That video was really touching, thanks for caring and sharing.
