Hello friends!! Well, this is the first Sunday after Christmas and my very last Seven on Sunday for 2019!! I hope this finds everyone doing well, recuperating, enjoying all the post holiday relaxation that we have all most definitely earned!
Thankfully my stretchy pants are with me as let’s just say………we all ate with abandon over the holidays:) After the new year, it’s back to healthy/clean eating! We will be traveling for the week and it is highly anticipated, as it’s been the busiest December I have ever had and this weary soul needs a few days to rest and relax.
I am anxious and excited to usher in 2020 I think its going to be a great year. OK onward to this weeks Seven on Sunday……….

1 ONE BEAUTIFUL HOME This is an elegant Buckhead home which to me, epitomizes the new updated traditional style that is so popular. It is pared down traditional and works for today’s living. The neutral palette and intimate spaces make for a timeless design and welcoming vibe. Designed by Susan Bozeman. Well done! Click here to read more about this pretty home…
2 A GREAT RECIPE WORTH SHARING I love crab and if you do too, then read on. I discovered this not so long ago and have since made it twice, it is so delicious and was a crowd pleaser. It’s an elegant appetizer and oh so tasty. I did not add the mascarpone and reduced the amount of heavy cream and you would not honestly not know anything was missing.
The second time I made this, I made a batch and baked it in a baking dish and served with crackers. Excellent appetizer for a dinner party crowd. This was discovered at A Dish of Daily Life.
Crab imperial appetizers
¾ cup brioche bread, diced
½ cup Hood® Heavy Cream
1 dash hot sauce
8 oz. crab meat
1 Tbsp. shallot, chopped
2 Tbsp. mascarpone cheese
3 tsp. lemon juice
Zest of 2 lemons
1 tsp. kosher salt
1 tsp. Cape Cod seasoning (can
substitute Old Bay seasoning)
2 Tbsp. red bell pepper, diced small
2 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
1 Tbsp. chives, sliced
12 pre-baked puff pastry cups
Instructions
Follow the instructions on your puff pastry cups and prebake, about 18-20 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 300 degrees. (If you just prebaked your puff pastry shells, you’ll be bringing your oven temperature down to 300 degrees, as they will be prebaking at a higher temperature)
In a small bowl, combine your brioche bread cubes and Hood® Heavy Cream. Let mixtuire sit for 10 minutes at room temperature. Add hot sauce and mix thoroughly.
In a medium size mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients including the brioche bread mixture. Make sure to check the crab meat for bits of shell or cartilage.
Mound the crab mixture into the prebaked puff pastry cups on a baking sheet. Cook for 5-10 minutes to warm the filling.
Serve immediately as an appetizer.
3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST I am just not quite ready to let go of Christmas/holiday Instagrams as these are just too good to not share on this last Seven on Sunday post of 2019! The spirit of the season lives on well into January and hopefully even longer…..
4 INSPIRING STORY OF THE WEEK I love stories like this and wish an entire news channel was devoted obey to feel good stories…….imagine that! This is just one of those simple gestures that makes you feel warm and fuzzy, love it.
5 MY CHRISTMAS DINNER TABLE With it being just the five of us this year, it was small and intimate and it was actually quite nice. I chose to set up the breakfast room as it just felt right. I actually really love the way ti came out, it was beautiful but intimate and cozy. I also did something new this year which was easy since we were just five, I wrapped up small gifts and put them on each place setting.
I also tried this new app and think these pictures are so cool! Love the moody, dramatic effect!
6 MY CUSTOMERS AMAZING CHRISTMAS PICTURES I couldn’t let this Christmas season go by without sharing so many amazing pictures from my talented customers featuring my ornaments, holiday gift wrap and more. Truly gorgeous, these make me feel incredibly proud:)
7 SEVEN ON SUNDAY OK, the holidays are behind us and the last few days of 2019 are creeping up on us. This is the time when many of us reflect on the last year and look ahead to the new. I think resolutions are a great idea. They give you a purpose and focus on how to improve something/be better. That cannot be a bad thing. So, generally speaking I make them.Do I always achieve them? No but I like knowing I have a goal and at least will attempt to work on it. And what say you on the matter?

And that is a wrap, the very last Seven on Sunday post of 2019!! Well, it’s been quite a year, but I am personally eager to start 2020. How about you? Wishing you a wonderful Sunday as we race to the finish line and close the chapter on 2019.
Hope whatever you are up to is fun, relaxing and exactly what you want to do. I will be traveling over the next 6 days and enjoying every minute. December came fast and furious with almost zero down time, so I am going to greatly relish finally being able to relax at long last:) Thanks for stopping in, until 2020!
The best to you in the new year.
Thanks to you for giving me some wonderful ideas for my new townhouse. It was beautiful for Christmas. Keep sharing your beautiful products and tasteful life with all of us.
So many beautiful things to look at on a Sunday morning! That home is to die for! Every room was so tastefully decorated.
Enjoy your special place and rest and recharge. Happy New Year!
Love spending my Sunday mornings with you! ? What is the app you used for the moody photos? looks beautiful and similar to Twigg studios gorgeous photos!
Happy Holidays! As usual your Christmas dining table looked amazing. (I love how the light emphasized sections of the table settings in the pics . What photo app did you use?) I look forward your posts in the new year.
Regarding New Year’s resolutions, I’ve learned from my daughter to choose a “word of the year” as a goal. This year it’s ORGANIZE. That one word can encompass so many areas of my life, both big stuff and lots of small things. I find the one word a year is much more attainable that a whole list of promises to myself.
