Happy Sunday morning, everyone! I hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend. We had plans with friends and family this weekend, and it’s been quite enjoyable. Today, I’m heading to a sip-and-see to meet the new baby of some dear family friends. and stopping off to a shower to drop off a gift.  With snow in the forecast, which I secretly have to admit I’m very excited about, I’ll probably stop by briefly to both and then head home.

I’m planning for the rest of the day to be a cozy one—Phillip will be coming over so we can babysit for a while (best part of my day), cooking, maybe some binge-watching, a little organizing, and even some packing. I can’t even tell you how much I’m looking forward to it! Life lately has felt like it’s been on overdrive. With so many moving parts—preparing to transition to the other house, slowly packing up our current home, and working part-time in a nanny position—it’s been a lot to juggle.

Sitting down to write to all of you each Sunday has become such a relaxing and cathartic routine for me. It’s the perfect moment to reflect, share, and connect amidst the busyness of life. So, without further ado, let’s dive in-

1 DISPOSABLE PLATES NEVER LOOKED SO PRETTY! So there are times you need a quick disposable plate. Around here, we are packing up my kitchen and about half way done, going to finish in about week and a half so right right now, you better believe these are coming in handy. These are lightweight disposable plastic plates but I have to admit I used some and couldn’t throw them away so just washed them to reuse again:)

Reminiscent of some of everyone’s favorite beautiful iconic patterns, I bought a large lot of these closeouts (whatever they had left) and put the big boxes away for a rainy day. When I featured them on Instagram just casually showing them) my email was bombarded with how to get them. So if you too, are interested, you can email info@enchantedhome.com.

Given the numbers of inquires,  I am sure I don’t have enough to fulfill the requests but until I dig into my big boxes of storage I don’t know so email just in case.

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Another beautiful round of random gorgeousness with a funny thrown in for good measure….

4 A MUST HAVE FOR DRY SKIN I saw this possibly on Tiktok or Instagram abut apparently this nifty little stick is in the bag of many makeup artists. Good ol Aquaphor to the rescue! I have dry skin so this was a must get. I use it all over my face, and gently under the eyes. Leaves my skin feeling moist and gives it a slight dewy appearance. Mostly it helps to restore the dryness and my skin drinks it right up. I carry this is in my bag an reapply it thoughout the day. Sold any any pharmacy, CVS, etc…love it!

5 A CHARMING COZY TOUR OF A SOUTHAMPTON BEACH HOUSE Love the more sophisticated take on this calmer, lots of beautiful layered touches, mostly via textiles. Lovely tour from Homeworthy….

6 MY FAVORITE BEEF STEW AND THE ULTIMATE COMFORT MEAL  This is so so good and honestly quite easy. There’s a secret ingredient which knock it all you want, it delivers! And yes, that would Lipton onion soup mix! It is hearty, super tasty, full of flavor and I would say pretty healthy (OK, well maybe not the mashed potatoes). Here’s the details-

1.5-2 lbs Top round London broil

1/2 onion chipped

5-6 garlic cloves sliced

1 large tomato chopped OR 1 TBSP tomato paste (optional if you want a tomato flavor in the sauce, have used it both ways, both great)

1 Packet of Liptons onion soup mix

2 TBSP chopped fresh parsley

4-5 good sized turnips cute in quarters

5-6 carrots chopped

2 TBSP fresh chopped parsley

8 potatoes ( I like Yukon gold)

About 1/4 cup dry red wine (*or more depending on preference)

Sea salt

Pepper

Butter

Wash and pat your London broil. Season on both sides with salt and pepper and place in a fairly deep baking dish. In a mixing bowl, add the packet of soup mix, chopped onion, garlic about , 1.5 cups of water and dry red wine. Add a small dash of salt and pepper. Once mixed pour over meat then place carrots, tomatoes, parsley and turnips around the meat, making sure the sauce is at least partially covering vegetables (you will rotate them later on). Put in oven preheated at 375 and cook for at least 1.5 hours (half way though uncover and rotate the vegetables and spoon sauce over meat if necessary) You will see the meat at this point starts flaking apart. I normally cook for a total for about 2 to 2.5 hours for it to be fork tender, and that might mean last half hour turning the oven on low (still covered).

Meanwhile, cut up your potatoes place in salted water, cook until tender. Add 1/4-1/2 cup milk and a splash of heavy cream with a few pats of butter, salt and pepper (when it comes to potatoes go big or go home)! I first mix with fork then use a hand blender to whip them really well.

When London broil is done, remove and serve on top of the potatoes…the perfectly comfort meal for winter and these cold months!

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY Today is a big day for 160 million Americans! And yes, I am talking about Tiktok! I am lurker not a poster, its my guilty pleasure at night when I am in bed on my iPad. I don’t have an account but love following certain interior design, home building, cooking, skincare videos. And I will be honest, I have learned a lot on there.

There is a lot to learn there and if I am to be honest I get, like many Americans a lot of my news there. Much more in depth, uncensored and in real time. Legacy news is dying and I tune in to it less and less. So today, Tiktok’s fate will be learned. I am going to be really sad if it’s gone for good. I have to admit I have lost interest in Instagram, I post here and there but truly do not feel the passion for it that I once did. Then when so many people tell me they cannot find me of didnt know I was still on, it makes me want to throw my hands in the air in defeat!  What best describes you and your feelings about Tiktok?

Love this post and I love those plates!! You have me wanting to try your recipe today, sounds so tasty and we are due to get a foot of snow here today. I love aquaphor, did not know they make it in a stick. See! I am always learning something here! Hope you enjoy your relaxing Sunday, Tina

Thank you for this wonderful newsletter. I especially appreciate the Homeworthy videos (you are the one who introduced me to Homeworthy), the recipes, and the skincare tips! Keep ’em coming!

For some reason, I can’t open your on line shop. The circle goes round and round for a long time but never opens.

Your new lilly and bird garden seat is exquisite! I’ve never seen such a beautiful garden seat..Enjoy your weekend Tina and make sure you cuddle your grandson. Time flies by so quickly!

I too just recently discovered Aquafor and what a positive difference it’s made on my skin…especially during this bitter cold winter. But I didn’t know it came in stick form….I’ll be purchasing that one now. I always learn something when I read your blog. Great job, Tina!

I used Aquaphor and loved the product until I had cancer and was told by my oncologist to stop, because of the petroleum. My husband is a petroleum engineer; thus, this isn’t a political statement. My sister-in-law was told the same by an oncologist in another state. I’ve replaced this product with Burt’s Bees Baby Multipurpose Healing Ointment.

I love you posts. Lovely and relaxing. Thank you.
