Wishing each and every one of you who celebrates a joyful day surrounded by love, family, and meaningful moments.

Unfortunately, this Easter weekend hasn’t quite gone as I had hoped. I’ve been home with the flu for the last few days, and while I was crossing my fingers for a miraculous recovery, I’m still not feeling 100%. The good news is the pounding headache is gone—so I’ll take that as a step in the right direction.

Normally, I’d be bustling around the kitchen and setting a beautiful table, but today my view is more cough drops, vapor rub, and tea than tulips and table settings. Still, there’s a silver lining—my son and his family will be stopping by later, and I’ll get to see sweet little Philip (from a distance and behind a mask, of course!). As hard as it will be not to scoop him up in my arms, I wouldn’t dream of passing this bug on to anyone. Takeout it is….not the plan but being together is the most important thing (even if I will be sitting at the other end of the table)!

So here’s this Sunday’s post… sending warm wishes to all of you. May your day be filled with beauty, love, and a little magic. Happy Easter!

1 GORGEOUS WEDDING INVITATIONS Fell so in love with these wedding invitations. Light blue and chinoiserie are calling my name! Then I went down a rabbit hole as I often do and really love the work of Carly and Co. Click here for their instagram page

2 IF YOU ARE IN THE NEW YORK AREA This event looks like such fun, cannot wait to go! Having visited the Van Gogh museum last year in Amsterdam, I became a little obsessed. Actually the obsession began when I saw a fabulous movie on his life starting William Dafoe. Excellent, if you have not seen it, I highly recommend you do.

So at the NY Botanical Gardens starting May through Sept, will have a Starry Nights event where they will illuminate the sky (via drones) of his beautiful painted world. Definitely putting this on my calendar! Click here for more info

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST What a beautiful and inspiring roundup….

4 ONE MAGNIFICENT WEDDING! Was obsessed with this gorgeous weeding the minute I laid eyes on it! Has my name all over it:) Three Branches Floral did all the florals and John Cain  was the photographer. Not sure about the party planner.  Nothing to me as beautiful as an elegant home wedding and this one surely checked off every conceivable box!  Every detail is just over the top gorgeous.  Any of those blue and whites look familiar?

5 MY FAVORITE EASTER TABLE Took a walk down memory lane since I am not setting a beautiful Easter table this year which is so disappointing. I love setting a beautiful Easter tablge with all the bunnies and eggs (and of course fresh flowers). This was my all time favorite Easter table done 4 years ago. Can’t wait for next Easter!

6 BEAUTIFUL HOUSE TOUR So enjoyed this beautiful cozy, elegant house tour. Brittany Bromley is a northeastern based designer. I love her traditional very layered curated style and the fact that she renovated this very old home (makes me hopeful about what we are embarking on). No cookie cutter decorating here. Every inch is impeccably done, it blends cozy with elegant sophisticated so beautifully.

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY Being home sick I have been pouring over magazines and books about decorating, never gets old. One thing I realized is that I still love the idea of the art of mixing old with new. I so love seeing antiques in a room (though they might not be as en vogue as they have been), even if its a more transitional space, that juxtaposition to me, is what gives the room character.

I am glad we hung onto certain pieces that meant a lot to us and cannot wait to infuse them back into our home when we move back. I am always drawn to European influences and thought this would make a fun poll question for you. So your turn to weigh in…

Happy Easter tina and sorry to hear you were under the weather. Our entire family had the flu about a week and a half ago and it’s no fun.

You still managed to pull together such a beautiful post your Easter table is unbelievable! And that wedding-wow!

Lovely house tour, rest up and hydrate!

HAPPY EASTER! That wedding those invitations and your past Easter table are all so beautiful. Great eye candy before I go to work in the kitchen. Love your blog, thanks for a gift that keeps on giving. Feel better Tina.

Happy Easter!
I’m so sorry you’re sick. It sounds like Influenza Type A. It went around Southeastern Virginia last month and brings a stubborn lingering cough. Horehound cough syrup will put an end to the cough. Mullein leaf tea will also gently bring up the residual phlegm.
I hope you start feeling better soon!

Being sick on holiday is really no fun! Enjoyed the house tour because of color not sterile. To me antiques make a home. Only use new pieces for structure. And I like a mix of styles…..French, Italian, Swedish, and Victorian. I like the eyes keep seeing different instead alike pieces.

Ugh…SO MANY PEOPLE have this wretched flu…really wears down ones resistance…time…time… franki

SOOOOOO. ENJOYED THIS POST !! First of all I’m so sorry you have been sick & wishing you a speedy recovery, The wedding pictures- those florals in blue & white vessels, her dress ! – oh my goodness !!
