Hello and happy Sunday to you! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Its my husband bday weekend (today is his birthday) and we are invited to go on a friends boat to have late lunch/early dinner in CT. Its H O T. As in 95, hoping it will feel cooler on the water! Have had a busy weekend, there was a cocktail party at our club, went to the event at Fenimore Lane yesterday (great event) and hope to possibly participate next year.
As many of you know, we were set to be a vendor, but had to back out- however seeing it up close and personal, it is something we would likely become a part of next year! Had a chaotic family birthday dinner last night (Phillip was in some mood) that it became comical! A busy summer weekend, crazy to think we will be in July in just a few days!
OK onward to my post this weekend.

1 A FEW SOUTHAMPTON SUMMER SNAPS Went out there last week to visit a friend and had such a nice day, had a super stressful day the day before so this as the perfect antidote. It was relaxing and so enjoyable…..and very pretty!
2 CHRISTMAS DINNERWARE! For your eyes only, been working on creating a Christmas dinnerware and while its just in the beginning stages though it would be fun to share how its shaping up! This is a concept idea and till being tweaked.
This will be a dinner plate, charger, salad plate, bread and butter and soup bowl.
The green shown will be a darker green but I am really loving this and would love yo know your opinion as well as if you think we should consider doing this in another colorway as well. I am considering the lattice charger but our white pieced charger also looks beautiful with it.
3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST So many pretty things to admire this weekend!
4 MY OFFICIAL FAVORITE PJS OF ALL TIME OK, so I tried 3 brands and must say I really like them all. However the standout for me is the pari from Roberta Roller, cannot tell you how wonderful they are. Super comfy, 100% cotton, kind of a boxy fit, and the real litmus test- how well they wash and dry. I love them so much, just bought a second pair in pink! Highly recommend. Click here
5 GROWING CITRUS IN POTS Since I don’t have my garden this year, which I greatly miss, looking to grow a few fruit trees in pots. Came across this article from Martha Stewart with particular plants that have high success rates of growing in posts. Love the look and nothing like going out and picking a fresh juicy lemon or fig right off the vine. Just in case- you too are interested, click here
6 FUN HOUSE TOUR! A beautiful house tour, this stately home features traditional interiors with a twist, how about that kitchen!
7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY So I love to cook when the time is right, when I don’t feel rushed, when I have amazing ingredients and am inspired, when the mood feels right, I love putting on music and getting in the zone. Can’t deny, that I feel way more inspired when I am in a beautiful kitchen cooking- one reason I cannot wait until I am able to be in my new kitchen cooking! That said, I still cook a full meal 2-3 times a week. Funny, most I know do not cook or enjoy it. Curious where you stand?
And that’s a wrap for this Sunday! I hope you enjoyed the post, hopefully the skies are going to clear and our boating plans with friends will stay on track, otherwise we move to a plan B. Wishing everyone a wonderful summer day. Until next time….
I cook every single day. Sometimes even if we have plans to go out I will make a soup or something else to have on hand. Cooking is like anything else, the more you do it the easier it is. The benefits of knowing what is in your food and eating healthy is worth it. Cook often, build your pantry of staples, perfect basic techniques and you will always be able to sit down to a great meal at any time.
Every day…closest grocery store 15 miles round trip…restaurant, same. So, I cook…however, “embellish” every recipe…it’s a joke w/family & friends…🙄

Love your Christmas plates. Great for Christmas Brunch or used for a Luncheon celebration. Love to see a more sophisticated plate for Christmas Evening Dinner. (Possibly deeper colours)
Love cooking but don’t cook like we used to. My daughter is a senior in high school and never home so we normally go to local restaurants during the week, no mess and often cheaper than cooking at home.
LOVE that Christmas china. You have my vote, i will be first inline to buy it- tired of seeing the same old patterns over and over. Southampton pictures are great, such a charming place.
The Christmas design plates are lovely … perhaps have the option to sell them individually and not just as a set. I like to display plates as decor capturing the theme of the season … in Williams Sonoma for example, one can buy individual plates with Christmas, Thanksgiving motifs, etc.
Pretty Hamptons pics..brings back good memories. Spent many summers in East Hampton as a kid.
Beautiful holiday china! do it! I like that you mentioned the green will be a darker green, think that will elevate it even more..the current green is pretty but too spring/summery.
Great post as always. Happy birthday to your husband!
I love the Christmas plates!! Except for one thing ~ the red bow ~ I would like to see something more sophisticated like berry branches at the bottom or woven antlers or ribbon with no bow. 🎄
Cook every day. Only wish I didn’t have to cook dinner, which would allow me to cook whatever I wanted, without the worry of having to have dinner ready for the family. We are a family of multiple different allergies and most times it’s safer to eat at home.

I would love to see Christmas boxwood topiaries on the plates….I feel the christmas tree has been used quite a bit already. Love your home tours!!

That new china pattern is BEAUTIFUL. Hope you will do it!
