Good morning, everyone. I have been meaning to finish this post for a week now. Hard to believe Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away. I don’t know about you, but it feels like we skipped right over fall and are now heading straight into the full–blown holiday season.
This has been a very interesting year. The unexpected tariff war did not exactly factor into our holiday planning, and as a business owner, to say it sent us into a bit of a tailspin would be a mild understatement. It meant having to cancel several shipments—simply because of the size of the containers and the value of the goods. The tariffs would have made prices truly prohibitive.
When you’re in business, you quickly learn that you have to pivot, and fast. And in the end, I think there were some happy “mistakes” along the way. We immediately shifted our focus to smaller goods that could be more feasibly air-shipped. Not that air shipping is a bargain, but it allowed us to keep things moving and still bring in beautiful product.
Because of that pivot, we were able to introduce some very exciting new items: our gorgeous rechargeable lamps, a fabulous new collection of needlepoint stockings (both small and full size), more holiday florals, a very festive line of elegant napkin rings, incredible new linens and the most charming embroidered cocktail napkins—arriving next week. All in all, even with the last-minute finagling and juggling, I couldn’t be happier with how everything has turned out. It’s shaping up to be quite a festive season after all.

Well this post kind of got me in the holiday spirit! It will be challenging to decorate this year as a lot of my things are in storage but once I get going, I tend to get creative. I will likely start earlier this year as its such a short season to begin with, and it just makes you happy seeing the beautiful holiday decor! The needlepoint stockings are my favorite item in your holiday line up. Fall weather was so warm this year in MN so hard to believe it is already mid November

I love the topiary gift toppers. I take great care when wrapping each gift with beautiful big bows and pretty papers. These sweet toppers add that extra special finishing touch. Big or small, I want those receiving a gift from me to know how much I care. It’s so much about the presentation.🎁

I was not looking that forward to the holidays this year (sick pet) but this has raised my spirits, so many beautiful things. My sister has a business and the tariffs are killing her. I hope this is corrected soon for all small businesses.

I buy your toppers and always get many compliments on my gifts. They really do “elevate” the gift giving experience. I hate gift bags and take a lot of pride in my gift wrapping. Everything is just beautiful! About the tariffs though, the reason for them is to help American manufacturers and avoid sending our money to other countries while our citizens don’t make out. Aren’t there any here in the USA that produce any of your lovely items? It’s sad to think we can’t or no longer create lovely things here on US soil. Maybe the cost might go up but it looks like many of your subscribers have no problem with prices from the looks of the photos they share, just as you live a very lavish life and can afford way more than the average citizen can. Maybe if people here can once again have Americans support their businesses they too will be able to spend more a well.

Sad about the tariff situation, its affecting so many businesses. Sadly, we do not have the work ethic or skill to produce many of these items at prices that can still make them affordable. I feel those days of American ingenuity might be gone. You have done a great job navigating it though from the looks of it.

Tariffs are killing a friend’s family business. It’s a small business and probably won’t make it. So sad.
As to why we don’t make everything here, that’s totally unrealistic. We live in a global economy. And we citizens are now paying for these tariffs, and especially hard hit are those less fortunate than us reading this blog. Prices are sky high and climbing.
