Hi there, hope everyone is well. Anyone else starting to feel the holiday crunch? I am! We will be 8 or 9 for Thanksgiving, and aside from cooking and making sure I get it all right, I don’t feel much pressure for Thanksgiving. To me, its one of the best days of the year, just our immediate family being together, reminiscing, eating good food and feeling grateful. Then comes the Christmas crunch, it feels a little off for me as many of my holiday things are in storage. I will do the very best I can, but I will be limited.
The other day, it was an unusually hectic day, I had been in the city and was in over 2 hours of traffic, felt like I was coming down with something, received a huge tariff bill and was supposed to go to a friends birthday dinner that night, but had put down the wrong night. That was all on me. It was an overwhelming few days, and suddenly I just wanted to be the Bucket grandparents in Willa Wonka in their cozy little bed with no agenda, just ensconced in the comfort of my own home without budging, can anyone relate?
So doing the best I can, and just trying to keep it all in perspective. Every few weeks or so I share snippets of life lately, so here is life around here in the last week or two (the good and pretty only)!

Prettiest dreamy winter white holiday decor at Bergdorf Goodman, just incredible!
Everything is so sparkly, a true winter wonderland
Got in a box of some beautiful handpainted tiles (doing the delft) for color reference, from KV Tiles
A gorgeous new 26″ bird lamp in production (coming in Jan) that is RECHARGEABLE! So excited about these!
Only wrapped 2 gifts, but its a start, thankfully have a lifetime supply of gorgeous reversible holiday gift wrap!
Went to a lunch, my phone was dying but its always fun to see our pumpkins as part of the centerpiece:)
Little Phillip wanted to be my gift wrap helper, he didn’t quite understand the assignment:)
These are so beautiful around the holidays, our large globe hurricanes offered in a few styles, we are down to just a few pair, so don’t wait too long if you have had your eye on them!
Went to a pre holiday luncheon and brought a nest candle with a darling needlepoint stocking as the gift adornment.
Willing my feet to be tough for a long night out:) They behaved! I wear heels as little as possible, but these surprisingly weren’t too bad!
Went to the loveliest truffle dinner party that a friend hosted, it was so yummy and fun! And her table filed with citrus in her epergnes was magnificent!
I love behind the scenes pics, caught this one of desert being prepped in her pretty kitchen (and yes, that is our orchid arrangement)!
No gift that I wrap is complete with using our darling gift toppers, they really do elevate things.
Here is my little prop cart Playing around for a little photo shoot with our new linens, stockings, dinnerware and mini lamps!
Had fun, its my equivalent of playing dressup:)
Beautiful fall foliage, and yes, I know…its time to take my pumpkins back inside to storage!

And those are some of the highlights in the last week or two. There was plenty that went wrong and wasn’t so “pretty” but I try to focus on the good and positive! I was laughing (only hours later) the other day when I was on the phone holding for nearly an hour, then when I finally got someone on the line and I asked (very politely) why in the world I was on hold for so long..she abruptly hung up on me! Infuriating, I said I should start making a list and do a random musings post on all that goes wrong, have a feeling many of you would be able to relate. Who says it’s time to take down those elegant chinoiserie pumpkins? They are in their glory amongst the kaleidoscope of color. What a breathtaking scene!

I’m partial to birds. That new incoming lamp is on my radar.
New year’s gift for moi? I think so. Like many I am bracing for next week. Triple checking grocery lists, table setting on Sunday . Then Tuesday is batting down the latches , I’m going into cooking battle. With love of course. What am I forgetting ????
So much beauty. I hear you about life’s “frustrations”…its getting worse! That little Phillip is such a doll. The Bergdorf displays are amazing, wow, so much went into that. I will be in NY in a few weeks and can’t wait to see it in person!
