Hello everyone—hard to believe this is my last “Seven on Sunday” post of 2025. What a year it’s been: plenty of highs and lows, and a business cycle you truly couldn’t make up—tariffs, constant curve balls, and so many unexpected twists. But on a brighter note, we’ve also had some exciting chapters, especially with our house renovation (more to come on that!).

The weeks leading up to Christmas felt a little hectic, but in the end, it all worked out. My team did an outstanding job of making it a super efficient holiday season, and it felt like a well oiled machine over at Enchanted Home! I was seeing ornaments, stockings and gift wrap in my sleep!

Sadly, our whole family couldn’t be together this year due to illness, which was hard—but sweet Philip more than made up for the missing seats at the table. There’s nothing like seeing the season through a little one’s eyes; it brings the magic right back and boy he did that in spades!

Now Christmas is behind us, and it’s onward to the New Year. I’m looking forward to it. I’ll be sharing a reflections post shortly after the New Year, as I often do, but for now… let’s jump into my final “Seven on Sunday” of 2025. And don’t forget out amazing after Christmas sale is going on now- 50% all seasonal. Fantastic time to stock up for next year!

2 A FEW FAVORITE CHRISTMAS PICTURE HIGHLIGHTS. One last hurrah, a few snaps taken during Christmas morning…Santa was extra good to Phillip:) I took a family vote this year as to what to make. For dinner,we started with a salad, had a “first course” of a yummy chicken gumbo, then had a delicious roast, with vegetables, rice, brussels sprouts, fresh bread and potato salad. Ended it with yummy Young’s Pies, ice cream and a decadent chocolate cake from Neuhaus in the city. It was a really delicious meal, if I say so myself:)

6 BRUSSELS SPROUTS RECIPE Made these for Christmas and they are so easy and delicious! Many of you asked so here is the recipe, easy and delicious….

  • 3 packs of brussels sprouts
  • 1/3 Panko crumbs
  • 1/3 cup of Parmigiano cheese
  • olive oil
  • 5 thinly sliced garlic cloves
  • salt and pepper
  • drizzle of balsamic vinegar *or balsamic glaze if you want something thicker

Cut ends of sprouts and discard outer leaves, cut in half. Put in bowl with approx 1/3 cup of olive oil, panko crumbs and freshly grated Parmigiano. Then add garlic cloves, nix gently. Spread out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 390 for approx 20-25. minutes (rotating halfway between). Serve hot or warm. Goes well with just about everything!

7 SUNDAYS’S SURVEY New Years is just around the corner. Curious if you celebrate in any big way. Sometimes we are away and if we are home we will do something low key with friends or family. This year we are invited to our friends in Florida, so barring anything unexpected that’s the plan. How about you? Low key or do you ring the year in with a big splash?

Good morning,
Great post as usual, Tina. Philip is growing so fast-what a blessing to the family!
I will be buying your new sconce shades. I love the contrasting trim and the blue blossoms are precious!
Happy New Year to one and all!

Out of curiosity, will the sconce shades fit on tabletop lamps (the small battery-powered ones you see used on dining tables, etc)?

Glad you had a merry Christmas, can imagine how much fun it was with Prince Phillip- what a doll.
Love the new shades!! Would love you to walk us through how you make a charcuterie board one day, mine never look like that:)
We always host a get together with 2 or 3 couples, we cater a fancy meal – filet mignon, lobster, etc…it is intimate and so enjoyable. I am long over loud parties that go on past my bedtime, haha!

Lovely post, your Christmas highlights are spectacular, especially little Phillip in his Bentley! We have done the same thing for the last 6 years, leave NYE morning for a short 3-4 day trip to an island. Sometimes our adult kids join, other times not. This time its just us going to Anguilla for 3 blissful nights!

What a fabulous holiday seen through Phillips eyes. Thank you for sharing your talent and grace with us. Cheers to 2026

Well…the blog goes outcwith a babg!! Off to purchase brussel sprouts…
:”HAPPY NEW YEAR!!” BRING IT ON!
