Good Sunday morning to you! I first want to belatedly announce the winner of last weeks contest! Congratulations goes to-

#136 Susan Absolutely love the green chinoiserie porcelain pieces. The cordless lamps are a favorite and the melamine cabbage ware is brilliant! Live, love, love!!

Please email us you name and shipping address so your prize can be on the way!

Back in NY, questioning my decision to come back. Came back with a bad cold and preparing for a blizzard the likes of which apparently we have not seen since 1970! I am praying its not as bad as what many are predicting (12-18″ for our area, we are due to get the brunt of it). We are barely shoveling out of the last snow (there’s plenty on the ground) and its at the ugly stage, black and dirty. In NYC I have no idea what they will do with all that snow as so much is there to begin with, with few places to put it.

Nothing we can do but wait it out, so channeling spring vibes in the meantime and here we go with my post this Sunday-

1 PALMETTO BLUFF Wish I could click my heels and be back there right now, the weather was delightful. Always nice to share a few Palmetto Bluff highlights, when I say its my happy place I mean it. I always say its like going to your own little private spa. This trip,  I did almost nothing and that was the best part! SO relaxing. A place I can stay indoors for days and not feeling like I am missing out on a single thing. Sometimes, we do more, if we are seeing friends or someone is visiting of course but if there’s one place to totally unplug, this is it for me.

We stayed a few days then went to visit friends in Florida for a few days then came back to PB for a few more days before returning home-

2 NEW JEWELRY! So added some stunning new pieces (with some more to come) the gold cuff  initially featured, will be available in about 4 weeks, will let you know when. In the meantime some of the others that many of you liked are as of today,  online and prices that I think you will agree are great! Click here

3 MAKING CHEESE PLATTERS I get a lot of people asking how to make cheese platters lordy knows I have made many in my day. Below are some of what I have made. Bottom line is there is no formula, but I do like to have at least 2-3 variety of crackers and/or bread sticks, at least 3 cheeses.

I like to offer some nuts and some kind of fruit (normally berries), also dried fruit if I have it on hand and I think a sprinkle of microgreens can elevate the look. When I have things like salami or soppressata that is a great addition as well. I love making them because it feels like a social experiment every time!

4 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Such a beautiful random round up!

5 FOR ANYONE WITH A TODDLER IN YOUR LIFE This feels like a PSA- Got this for Phillip and canto tell you how obsessed he with it, its so cute watching him get to work. He was always reach in for the real vacuum so when I saw this, it was an immediate add to cart. This might be his favorite toy ever yet it sounds and “acts” real!  Click here

6 EVER WONDERED HOW PORCELAINS ARE MADE?  This video is fascinating, a little grainy but one of the best showing the process from the vert stary. Certainly gives you a new perspective and newfound appreciation for how much goes into making a single piece of porcelain. A fascinating art!

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY So you are in the market, the lines are long. Someone is behind you, has only a few things. Do you automatically turn around and offer them to go ahead of you? I almost always would unless I was in an extreme rush. I just feel that is the courteous thing to do. I witnessed this a few days ago a woman with a sky high cart turned around, saw someone with literally a bag of coffee and a small milk and turned around and did nothing. I am curious how you would have handled that?

Funny you brought up the standing in line at the grocery store. Just yesterday I was in line with one item. The man in front of me had a lot of groceries. I kept wondering if he would offer to let me go ahead of him, which he did not. Not one to ask, I just let it slide, but just makes me think how so many people are self-absorbed. Kindness goes a long way….

Yes indeed, winter is in full force. I’m sorry you’re down with a cold. It sounds like the storm will give you a chance to relax and heal.
I love all the pictures of SC and especially the cheese trays. Spring sunshine and outdoor meals are what I am most looking forward to.

Love today’s post! PB pictures are so beautiful. I live in the south and love it, but really wish we had settled in the low country. It is my vibe. I can’t tell you how much I love and look forward to Seven on Sunday. I know it must be so hard to know next Sunday will soon roll around and you must put together a new post. It is deeply appreciated. Have a good week and take extra care with the storm heading your way.

The grocery line dilemna! If you have a full cart and you keep letting those with less go in front of you at what point do you move on? Seems that most stores have taken away the express lanes. Probably because of self check out. The cheese trays are a work of art. Hope you feel better soon and the snow isn’t brutal.

I once let four people go ahead of me. I did not have a huge cart, but the people behind me had very few items or one item. To me, it is common courtesy. Do unto others. Sadly, many people lack manners in this day and age.

So many pretty pictures! Love the cheese boards and your Palmetto pics. I cannot wait to watch the video. Just bought two bracelets, love them and great price point. I only bring nice costume when I travel (I travel a lot) so please bring on more pieces!
Yes will always offer someone with just a few items to go ahead, and hope they will pay it forward. We too are due to get a ton of snow, Boston area as I know you are. Let’s hope this is it!

Wish the little’s liked to clean as teenagers as much as they do when they’re little.
🤣🤣

Your pictures are always so pretty. The lemon or orange tree in the background at Palmette Bkuff is stunning! Wow. What tree type is that?
