Hi there, hope this finds you well. Our PB project is chugging along and we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. We were lucky enough to go down to PB 3 weekends ago and it was such fun seeing real progress. It is really rolling along now and we are in the last stages. It should be done within 6-8 weeks!
We are making design decisions fast and furiously now, to insure everything is there on time. I am delighted with what I have done so far and cannot wait to watch it spring to life. I did make a few changes last minute like deciding to do our cubby and desk in the mudroom in a beautiful soft gray/blue color and found a few wallpapers that work beautifully with it. Also we have ordered furniture, outdoor furniture is done, all hardware completed and now I am thinking about the fun things like lighting, wallpaper, etc….

Below are the plans for the powder bath
And we have a small mudroom that has a built in cubby with storage, as well as a desk. I decided to paint it all light blue which I cannot wait to see and will likely add this wallpaper and one of our new lanterns
Put down the tile flooring on the upper deck
Upstairs guest bathroom
Powder room floor all done!
Wood floors and beadboard/trim (will be painted) is getting wrapped up
A special thank you to (click on each name for information) Incidentally both of these we used for our old home as well-
I will share more resources and start building this list as we start approaching the finishing stages!
F0r anyone not family with Palmetto Bluff, here is a video that I think captures the essence beautifully!

Starting yesterday our After Easter sale has begun- all tole eggs, bunnies and bunny napkin rings are 40% off (great time to plan ahead for next year but these are also beautiful spring decorations too)
And that’s the latest. Things are happening quickly now and, as this is the most exciting part, a lot will be done in these next 6 weeks. We are really looking forward to the completion and I will surely take you along as we approach the finish line. Thanks for stopping by. Until next time…….
You are indeed blessed ,to be able when your house is finished , to live in Palmetto Bluff. I also live in the low country of South Carolina . I own just a small home with a little backyard , Still it’s a wonderful place to live. I especially enjoy enjoy driving through Palmetto Bluff at Christmas. It is magical. I wish you many fulfilling and happy days there.
Wow love every single detail and your design choices are perfect for the low country. So much fun to follow along. We will be building in the fall and I am taking careful notes:)
I so envy you and admittedly, I live vicariously through you and your home designing! Although I’m in a different league, I too try and make my home a place of beauty and calm and, from your blog, have taken many of your ideas and design decisions and applied them to my lifestyle.
Can’t wait to see the end result of both of your new homes!
