Hello friends…TGIF! I am ready for a weekend of relaxation, seeing friends and carving out some downtime. Its been a busy week, little Phillip was sick so was helping out more than usual, our renovation is cranking up and we are making lighting fast decision over at the other house (strictly aesthetics like paint, carpet, redoing a tiny powder rooms) as we are intending to move in TWO weeks!
Yes, this really snuck up on us! So lots happening, many decisions to be and frankly, my mind is kind of overwhelmed, though the “fast and furious” part of the decisions are now behind me! Going between my office, two houses and nanny duty has been extra busy this week so looking very forward to the downtime! But make no. mistake the nanny duty part is my favorite hat to wear.
I like to share life lately through the lens of my little iPhone every few weeks so here’s whats been happening lately…

Love my weekly stops into Young’s Farm, a super charming shop.bakery near us always like going back in time!
Love the blue and whites on our navy scalloped tray
Dining room suddenly feeling quite bare with all the Christmas down *except one planter, added our new 16″ urns and figuring out what to put on them
Meanwhile over at the house we are soon t move into, painting is being done swiftly with no grass growing under the painters feet!
Much more to come next week when I start my reservations seines which will first include this house that we are moving into and some of the atheistic changes we are making!
And our fabulous small lattice cast iron footed urns are back! Click here
Loved going to my favorite local Italian specialty shop a d seeing this huge platter of ripe tomatoes……brought me back momentarily to summer days
Cold days call for hearty meals. Made my yummy beef, turnip and carrot stew with whipped potatoes, it hit the spot! Recipe to be shared on Sunday
Son of a dear friend got married this past weekend! Beautiful couple!
Many asked about both this tissue and chinoiserie breakfast tray. The breakfast trays will arrive in March in 3 colors. Stay tune for a presale on them
Love Young’s Farm. Amazing produce, baked items, jams and household goods. Yes, like stepping down in time. Where is your favorite Italian shop? Razzano’s in Glen Cove? Fabulous place. Glad Phillip and you are feeling better. So much going around. Was not able to click onto the small footed urn. Only showed the medium and large.
I ordered the bird-chinoiserie tole waste basket and tissue box cover in that pretty celadon green for my guest bathroom and it is a gorgeous set. I’ll look forward to seeing more in that color.
I always like your musings as seen through your phone. And I’m with you; being a grandmother is the best job in the world! Phillip is super cute. Stay warm! I can’t wait to see your home’s progress during your renovation.
