Good morning! I’ve been on a little hiatus, and while it was wonderful to get away, there’s always something so nice about coming home and getting back into the routine. This summer will be a busy working summer. But as long as I can carve out small snippets of downtime, I am on board. All about balance which is a work in progress.
Before too much more time passes, I wanted to share highlights from the baby shower I hosted several weeks ago for my daughter-in-law. It was truly a labor of love, and if there was one theme, it was definitely pink peonies. The shower happened to coincide with the height of peony season, and with nearly 200 beautiful stems, we created the most magical pink celebration.
And yes—you guessed it—she’s expecting a girl! Having raised three sons, we are absolutely thrilled to welcome a little girl into our family.
I won’t narrate the photos because they really tell the story themselves. Here are glimpses from a beautiful and very special day spent celebrating the sweet arrival we’re eagerly awaiting later this summer. I decided to break this into two posts as I have a lot of pictures. Today is the setup, and part two will be more of the actual shower.
This was a lot of fun to plan and I was thankful for a wonderful caterer, Gina of Green Pear who did the catering, the food was so good, healthy and pretty! Also had a few helpers on hand which definitely allowed me to feel more like a guest at the party though being the micromanager, I was still busy orchestrating. I will post part 2 on Friday. Thanks for stopping by, wishing everyone a great day. Until next time….
Good morning!
The food looks great! The peonies certainly made the perfect background for this sweet celebration. The fragrance must have been heavenly!
Oh Tina, what a glorious and beautiful Baby Shower! The food looked so wonderful. I have six grandsons and then finally a granddaughter!!! How happy, happy I was to be able to do things in pink and so many very cute little dresses.
