Good evening , hope you had a nice weekend. Here it was coooooold, and I am waiting for spring’s return! Busy start to my week but then again, nothing new:) As I periodically do I share with you my life happenings via my iPhone. Always love to capture whats happening in the moment with this gadget I cannot imagine life without:) The pictures tell their own story so not much narration needed…
.
This handsome devil is a great way to start this post!
Had fun organizing my “loot” from the Juliska sale!
Got a bag full of tulips from Whole Foods
And had fun:)
And a visit to my favorite local wholesaler did not disappoint…..
Not at all unusual for my backseat to look this way every few weeks:)
Teddy seems to be saying “not again”……
This is in front of a local restaurant, I was so taken with these trees, shot this pic at a stop light
A special gift for someone
The Color Purple was A M A Z I N G….haven’t stuck around for after the show since the first time I saw Le Mis
This is the first time I have ivy topiaries that are growing so well they need a haircut every few weeks…something about the very spot they are in..not moving them!
A pretty local restaurant, Limani
\
That always has the most beautiful tomatoes!
My gorgeous white azalea topiary in full bloom along with this so beautiful fabric from John Robshaw has me dreaming of a spring get together
And about this new guest towel….how great is that monogram!
And look who just came from a grooming…looks like a young man again:)
Of course had to save the best for last! I know this is heavy on the flowers but they are a big part of my life. Definitely one of the things in life guaranteed to make me happy, cannot wait to get back to the flower market! I bought some very nice tulips from Whole Foods that were a great deal but I noticed the ones I bought from the Flower Market in NYC lasted almost three times as long, coincidence? Not sure, but it definitely has me wanting to go back!
Anyway thank you for stopping in, wishing you a fabulous evening and a great and productive start to your week. Very excited about the containers (porcelain and silver) due to arrive this week, fingers crossed! Until next time….
You can never, ever have too many flowers. They make everything look and feel better. And lucky you with your ivy topiaries. I have a brown thumb when it comes to houseplants.
Oh, how beautiful all those flowers- like being in heaven! You have a wonderful life. I am glad you are enjoying beauty. I think of you each time I look at my blue and white porcelain.
I know sometimes you want the tulips to fall over the side of the vase, but if you want than to stand up straight & last longer, I have a little tip. I learned this when I lived in Belgium several years ago. Take a straight pin & push it all the way through the stem, just below the bud or flower. That way, the water doesn’t get to the flower & make it top heavy. I’ve been doing this for years, so I know it works.
I love Teddy, sweet boy. I have 2 Tzu, and they are my darlings too. Groomed every week.
What Juliska sale? I chose the Berry and Thread pattern,
mixing cream, blue and cafe au lait(??) colors for our Florida house, five years ago. Where is the sale, PLEASE? Will it happen again?
Tina, I so love it when you take me shopping with you. Love all the travel places I will never see. Teddy is sweet but showing his age, you are very fortunate to have him. I lost my Grace in January and still cry every day. Love him as much as you can.
The flowers are beautiful and such a welcome note to spring.
Leona, you put that so well, about Tina taking us shopping with her!!! We used to live in Southern California and had access to the same kinds of riches as those in NYC. Here in Cincinnati, not so much, lol! It is important to bloom where you’re planted and shopping voyeurism never hurts any one! Tina, thanks for a great post and a beautiful way to start the day.
Always love your “random” photos, especially all the ones taken of les fleurs.?? My grandparents had huge bushes of Nikko Blue Hydrangeas at their California home, so I especially love those! Glad to read the tip about tulips; I hate it when they droop all over. Teddy is such a good boy! Reminds me of our dog, Asia, she goes everywhere with us! Have a great week and look forward to your next post.
Teddy is looking very handsome! And look at all those flowers – sooooo pretty!! What a way to celebrate spring.
Cheers,
L
PS – I hope your topiaries are ready for spring. Now is the time to start fertilizing.
Hi Tina,
Any chances that you can also name the reference to some of the wallpaper and fabrics you photograph. Sometimes, I want to look up your suggestions and I have no way to find out what I am looking for. Case and point- you displayed a beautiful fabric with that monogram towel ….. ???
Thanks for all the great posts…..
I’m so envious of the Juliska sale – love their patterns! Kristy has Petit Singe and I absolutely love it! You have the perfect companion in Teddy, Tina…love that he travels around with you, and the flowers…stunning! Happy Tuesday~
Tina, these posts are my favorite! I love getting a snapshot into your life. Love the flowers, love the pics of Teddy, and the views around your house – love it all!
Oh wow Tina!
I love all of the flowers. They are oh so happy! They remind me of Teddy in the last picture after he’d been to the groomers. Awwww, he is so loveable!
Thank you so much for all you do for all of us.

So many pretty flower pics!! I too have ever had luck with flowers lasting from Whole Foods– one of the few drawbacks there.
Thanks for the spring inspiration! Julie
