Good October morning to you….its time for an another installment of By Invitation Only<\/i> where a group of bloggers get together and each serves up their own interpretation of that months said theme. This months is titled “Thoughts on October”…..and what does this month mean to us? <\/center>

This was a fun one for me because A. I love fall  B. I do have a few fun things on my agenda,  C. Its my sons birthday month and D. the sleeveless shirt season is officially over..woo hoo!…….so we have some nice things that happen to fall in October.   I am sure it has a slightly different meaning for each of us but here is my own personal thoughts on the month………<\/center>

<\/center><\/p>\n

My oldes<\/span>t<\/span> sons<\/span><\/span> birthday is in <\/span>October<\/b><\/span>….hard to believe he is <\/span>turning<\/b><\/span> 25 this year! <\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/span><\/center>

<\/span><\/center>
<\/center>
<\/center><\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

It means <\/span>soccer<\/b><\/span> games. Lots of them. Love it when I have a reason to throw on a toasty <\/span>sweater<\/b><\/span> or <\/span>wrap<\/b><\/span>. And love it when they win!<\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/span><\/center>
It means having an opportunity to wear and buy more beautiful soft <\/span>cashmere<\/span><\/b> scarves and sweaters…just love the “<\/span><\/span>cozy season<\/b><\/span>“<\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/center>
<\/center><\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

<\/center>
October is a license for lots of cooking  of delicious <\/span>comfort <\/b><\/span>foods. Nothing is off limits:) Including a <\/span>decadent<\/b><\/span> chicken pot pie…..<\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/span><\/span><\/center>
<\/center><\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

It is the perfect month for  carving out time for a one or two day <\/span>road<\/span> <\/b>trip to admire and ogle over falls <\/span><\/span>parade <\/b><\/span>of colors, nothing beats fall foliage in the <\/span>Northeast<\/span><\/b>!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/center><\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

For some reason I get very into <\/span>antique<\/b><\/span> stores in the fall…so <\/span>October<\/span><\/b> is a time to explore and <\/span>discover<\/b><\/span> some new ones!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/center><\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

This particular <\/span>October<\/b><\/span> means road <\/span>trip<\/b><\/span> with one of my dearest friends in the whole <\/span>world<\/b><\/span>…we are heading to beautiful <\/span>Newport, Rhode Island<\/span><\/b>!<\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/a><\/center>
October is a month ripe for<\/span> <\/span>apple<\/span><\/b><\/span> picking<\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/a><\/div>\n

October means adding a little<\/span> fall <\/b><\/span>decor throughout the<\/span> house<\/b> <\/span>to welcome in the new season<\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/span><\/span><\/center>
<\/center>
<\/center><\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

It means <\/span>Halloween <\/b><\/span>and getting to see all the cute little<\/span> kids <\/b><\/span>in their adorable costumes!<\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/a><\/div>\n

October is all about <\/span>gorgeous clothes<\/span><\/b> and an excuse for a little <\/span>retail<\/b><\/span> therapy (hellooooo Ralph Lauren)<\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/span><\/center><\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

A surplus of <\/span>apples<\/b><\/span>…hopefully enough to be inspired to bake that <\/span>homemade<\/b><\/span> apple <\/span>pie<\/b><\/span>!<\/span><\/center>

<\/a><\/div>\n

October is a time for quiet <\/span>walks<\/b><\/span> with <\/span>Teddy <\/span><\/b>taking in the <\/span>magic<\/b><\/span> of the season of fall<\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/span><\/span><\/center><\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

A great excuse to get a brand new fabulous <\/span>handbag<\/b><\/span>….like clockwork every fall, I <\/span>indulge<\/b><\/span> and<\/span> splurge<\/span><\/b> on a really great new bag.<\/span><\/span><\/center>

<\/span><\/span><\/center><\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

And lastly October is a month like every other to be <\/span>thankful<\/b><\/span> for good <\/span>health<\/b><\/span>, the blessing of <\/span>family <\/b><\/span>and company of great <\/span>friends<\/b><\/span>….you included!<\/span><\/span><\/center>
