Hello! Fresh off from a wonderful but too short of a visit to PB. I went with my sister and had such a great time. It was a combination of fun and work….still doing small odds and ends in the house and found time to do a little exploring as well. I just love it there and cannot lie, it was hard to come home and as it always does, takes a few days to readjust. Not easy as that relaxed pace really agrees with me!<\/p>\n

I never thought I would go in August but surprisingly the weather while hot, was not unbearable. I am making good progress and as we speak have pillows for the living room sofas and the rest of the outdoor sofa pillows being made. Still waiting on my dining room fixtures, some chests, etc…but most of the main furniture pieces are in.<\/p>\n

Just starting to work on the bookcases and made up\u00a0 my mind that I am not going to rush it. I took some books from home and will do it slowly, in layers. In time it will be done! I love the look of white coral, it really goes nicely with the vibe and will be adding some preserved boxwood as well, as greenery is always a good idea!<\/p>\n

Walking into this house just makes me feel like exhaling and as if i am leaving all of life’s troubles outside the door. Now I realize that really is not happening but it’s nice to believe it is even if for a few days:) Palmetto Bluff to anyone who has been, knows what I mean, it is a very special place! So here is the latest…..<\/p>\n

Still totally smitten with my front porch and gorgeous gas lanterns!<\/p>\n

Such a treat to walk into this bright, open and airy space<\/p>\n

And unloaded a bunch of accessories to place around the house<\/p>\n

A tiny step but got my hardware put in on the cabinets in great room, love these! Just starting to work on filling the bookcases, it is a “work in progress”<\/p>\n

Think I am doing this paper for the main powder room and this one below for the back powder room<\/p>\n

These beautiful towels were sent to me from a wonderful client and the new square towel holders were installed (Restoration Hardware)<\/p>\n

Fiddling around in the great room for fabric\/pillow ideas….decisions have been made:)<\/p>\n

This mirror above is in the vestibule where the back stair case is, now on the prowl for a great console to go underneath<\/p>\n

And hardware got put on in the hutch in the mudroom<\/p>\n

Don;t think I have ever shared the side view of the house, details here were not missed, thanks Cameron Custom Builders!<\/p>\n

Love the pieces we have chosen, the blue pillows are not staying they are there temporarily<\/p>\n

Walking out onto my porch in the early morning and later afternoon is like instant free therapy, I just love this space!<\/p>\n

Just putting this post together makes me want to click my heels and be transported to this magical little slice of peaceful heaven. I can handle the hustle and bustle of NY but must say I crave and cherish the peace and tranquility of PB.<\/p>\n

So there are still plenty of things to do on my list, and lots of decisions yet to make, but we are definitely getting there.
