<\/a><\/p>\nOverall I am so<\/em> happy fall is here, as I love fall more than any season.\u00a0 The air has been crisp, and we have had a few nights that required a light sweater, just soaking up every minute!\u00a0 I often feel very nostalgic too around fall, it happens every year without fail. I think it has something to do with school starting, football season beginning, a part of my life that the chapter has closed on but I can’t deny I miss and will forever cherish.<\/p>\n Thank the heavens for my business as it keeps me so<\/em> busy. But yes, I do equate fall somehow with my kids being young, sporting games, weekend trips to Vermont, fall fairs, apple picking,even the dreaded family Thanksgiving pictures (which inevitable ended with the three boys wrestling to the ground) I loved every minute of it and tear up just knowing those days are over. Still love fall as much as ever but it changes when they are no longer little and under my thumb.\u00a0 Thankfully I have many many pictures of those fond times and will cherish them forever (as I know my boys will eventually will too).So now I await grandchildren eventually….at the rate things are going its gong to be a while though:) So I keep trucking along:)<\/p>\n OK enough, here we go with this weeks Seven on Sunday…..<\/p>\n <\/p>\n _________________________________________<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 1 A FAVORITE RECIPE!\u00a0<\/strong> Some recipes bear repeating. Made this the other night and forgot how unbelievably delicious it is! I gave up eating red meat and eat some chicken, though not often but must say this I could eat everyday! By substituting most of the mayo for yogurt, it is very healthy, low in calories and super tasty. The dill gives it the kick and you can eat this alone, on a whole wheat wrap or any bread of choice. I would have to say this is the best chicken salad I have ever had, love it!<\/p>\n Many of you ask for me to categorize my recipes in a way that they are easily accessible. Thank you liking them enough to want them at your fingertips:) That is something I have on my short list of a few blog updates to make after the holidays. I know better than to take on too much before the crazy holidays but rest assured when all calms done in January, I am going to come up with a way to index them so you can get them with the click of a button. Meanwhile here’s the recipe-<\/p>\n BEST EVER CHICKEN SALAD<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 2 SAY HELLO TO STEVIE <\/strong>Let me preface this by saying I am not a cat person, never have been (please do not be offended).\u00a0 My oldest son decided to get a cat (lives in NYC and figured it would easier than a dog), and he is the kind who researches everything ad nauseam ,<\/em> so after months of his research, “Catgate” was coming to a close and he chose a magnificent Himalayan kitten from a breeder he had researched (by the time he was done I am sure he new the breeders blood type, family lineage and favorite foods:).<\/p>\n Fast forward a few months, he is realizing it is WORK and RESPONSIBILITY, and yes, even requires some planning and suddenly he is feeling like maybe he is not a cat person after all. Insert major eye roll here from me, as I told him having a pet is a huge responsibility. He is not home much and I think felt really guilty about leaving him alone all day.<\/p>\n So………fast forward he “gifts” Stevie to my other son who is living at home temporarily until his apt. is ready and guess who has been out of guilt playing with Stevie, checking in on Stevie morning noon and night, feeding Stevie sometimes, giving him a night massage because his “owner” says that what he likes. Yes, you guessed correctly me!<\/p>\n And did I mention he expects us to brush his teeth and wipe his mouth after every meal??!!! There is no denying he is one of, if not the most beautiful cats I have ever seen, and as far as cats go, he seems to have a really nice disposition. BUT I did not ask for a cat!!!!!!!\u00a0 So say hello to our distant relative who is maybe just “visiting” until he goes back to his owner??!! To be continued…….<\/p>\n 3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST <\/strong>So much to love this weekend and you will see a definite fall theme starting to emerge. Love it, and am so excited to see this barrage of incredible fall inspiration…..<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a04 A DOCUMENTARY EVERY AMERICAN SHOULD WATCH <\/strong>You know when 9\/11 occurred last week, though it was my son’s birthday, I woke up and at the same time thought deeply back to that horrific day in American history. I remember every frightening moment as it unfolded and remember that morning\u00a0 as vividly as if it happened yesterday. Ironically I was literally supposed to be an exact block from the twin towers, later that morning, I was at a meeting at my sons school and was supposed to be on my way to the city by 9:30. When the meeting ran over, I decided to do it the next day. God works in mysterious ways.<\/p>\n So back to last week, though plenty of people on Instagram paid tribute to all the lives lost, I have to say I was a little disheartened to not have seen more. I mean this day forever changed who America is and will be. Yes, it made us stronger and more resilient but we cannot in any way or put a silver lining onto the fact that 2996\u00a0 innocent lives were taken senselessly. That a city albeit temporarily was brought to it’s knees.<\/p>\n My immediate thought when I saw this was I pray America will not forget. I really do. It is just too important to forget, and paying tribute is a way to honor all those lives lost and the families still mourning their loved ones. So I came across this documentary and let me tell you this is POWERFUL. RAW and as REAL as it gets. I had never seen most of the footage and it will make your heart race as it did mine. As hard as it was to watch I think its important to watch so that we never forget, this brought it all back for me. I immediately sent it to my sons and friends\/family.<\/p>\n If I were the big chief over at Instagram I would halt any posting for one day every 9\/11 to honor every single one of those lives lost, what a powerful message that would be to every single American and a sure way to make sure we never forget. Maybe I feel stronger about this because I am a New Yorker, but i really think it’s just because I am an American.<\/p>\n\n
