Hello and Happy New Year friends!

Its hard to believe 2025 is here and I am welcoming it with open arms  While 2024 certainly had its share of good times and happy memories, there were many “behind the scenes” hiccups so there is something quite nice about starting a fresh new year. The highlight was BY FAR, welcoming our beautiful little Phillip into the world. What a blessing he has been, and given us joy we didn’t know existed. The best!

I wish each of you a wonderful start to this new year. May it be filled with good health (most important of all), love, laughter and peace (we all need more peace in our lives:)

Sadly, a lot of turmoil both on our own turf and around the world. I will never give up praying for peace both here at home and aboard, so much suffering, its hard to wrap my brain around at times. Our world has become tumultuous, uncertain and fragile. I worry deeply for this next generation, but that’s a whole other post!

The one constant however has been my amazing group of family and friends……forever grateful to them for enriching my life and making me feel so loved. And among those friends, I include you, my readers, followers and customers. Thank you for giving me a purpose every single morning that I wake up. Something I look forward to and feel fulfilled by!

Hopefully, the best is yet to come and I think 2025 is going to be a great year. I like to share a favorite post from each month of the last year, it’s a fun way to reflect and perhaps these are posts you missed. Onward we go. Going through these made me realize how many posts I started but didn’t finish (my last part on trip to Italy and the entire trip to Paris recently, so be on the look out for those). Better late than never!

So let’s take a look at a post from every month in 2024 just to go down memory lane….

My best memory of 2024 was my trip to Japan with my husband. This trip had been scheduled for 2020 when covid hit so a slight delay in our travels. Japan exceeded my expectations by far and has made me excited about more travel this year.

My favorite memories of 2024 are snuggling up with my little dog as I drink a cup of tea.

Best memory was moving to coastal SC to be close to family. This has been the best gift of all, grateful every day to be here.

A 28 year marriage had dissolved right as covid started. He left after the last child had gone off to college. I was devastated, scared, and unable to function without the help of my pastor and his wife. I spent the next few years combing through the loss, trying to start over at age 58. That’s been 5 years ago. The best thing about 2024 is I scraped the nerve to sign up to an online dating site. Within 2 weeks, i found a gentle, smart, caring man from Kentucky who had lost his wife to early dementia in January 2024. We have been seeing each long distance for 8 months now. I had only known what love IS NOT. It is not yelling, belittling, withholding, threatening. 2024 showed me what love IS. It is listening, affirming, holding, protecting. Yes, 2024 was a good year, and 2025 will be even better. I’ll let you know if there’s a wedding.

P.S. Your site has always been a refreshment to my soul.

Happy New Year, Tina! I can’t wait to journey with you through your temporary move and new build this year. It looks like it will be full of interesting and informative posts!

Our family trip to the azores. Experiencing Sao Miguel where my husbands family is from was wonderful. The island is gorgeous! I’d love to return.

My favorite memory from 2024 was watching my nephew play on a team that won the 7th grade state football championship.

OUR SECOND GRANDCHILD ARRIVED IN OCTOBER. A BABY GIRL WHO IS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY. SHE IS ADORED BY HER BIG BROTHER AND HAS ALREADY BROUGHT THIS GRANDMOTHER SO MUCH JOY! THERE IS NOTHING QUITE SO AMAZING AS WATCHING YOUR CHILD AS THEY PARENT THEIR OWN BABIES. IT IS TRULY A MIRACLE. BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE!

My best memory by far is welcoming my own first grandson in May and the joy I get every week spending time with him, rocking and singing him to sleep! Nothing better! 🙂

Our beautiful granddaughter Avery was born in November. She adds so much joy to our lives and I cannot wait to spend time with her.

My best 2024 memory has to be the joy of retirement and my bathroom renovation. It was so much fun having the time to make decorating decisions and creating my dream bathroom!

My church does an event called Christmas kindness.bringing Christmas love, joy, and dignity to close to 2000 Atlantans in need . I’m on the coat committee and spent 3 months buying coats.
Our “guests” come into the coat room and can select a brand new coat WITH TAGS on for themselves and for their children. Most have never owned a new coat. As I assist them in trying on several coats, they look in the mirror and most clients begin to cry saying “thank you thank you.” Then I hug them and I can’t help it but I cry with them…. they are then taken to the toy room , appliance room and wrapping area.
THIS IS CHRISTMAS for me. The most special gift is to see the joy and disbelief in the faces we serve. The highlight of 2024 for me. Is the week of Christmas Kindness.

I thought long and hard about what my favorite memory is of 2024.
We had a wonderful year filled with all sorts of adventures but my
Favorite thing by far is the time we spent with family and friends.
I loved welcoming them into my home, setting the table and sharing
a special meal and enjoying the great conversations we had.
That is what fills my heart from 2024.

This year was bittersweet as we, as a family, made the decision to put our mother into a memory care unit, but it was offset by the wonderful and long overdue vacation in Washington state with our adult children. Great memories made!

My best memory of 2024 is the family Christmas dinner where Santa unexpectedly brought “Treasure boxes” to each of my four little grands! It was precious to see their faces upon arrival!

My best memory of 2024 is when my husband walked for the first time after being strickened by a crazy autoimmune disease that stripped away his myeline sheath in his legs and arms in 2023. It was truly a miracle.

Happy New Year to you and your family! My favorite memory of 2025 is my youngest son getting married! It was a beautiful and wonderful day!

Meeting my Grand daughter Evaline for the first time. I cried when I first held her! Sweetest Baby ever !
Since the time that my son Patrick announced the pregnancy & that she was a girl…I’ve called her my DBG (Darling Baby Girl). It suits her.

Tina, wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year! Thank you for helping to bring beauty into our homes, and again, isn’t being a grandma the best?! My best memory of 2024 is welcoming home our son and his wife, as he left California 7 years ago to teach in London. Met his now wife in his school, and they are trying out living in the U.S. And they brought their furbaby with them!

My best memory from 2024 was helping my son and his wife decorate their new home in Athens, GA, and I’m excited to continue the experience in 2025. Happy New Year!

My favorite memory of 2024 was having our home on the city holiday homes tour. Our home was decorated by a florist and volunteers with our own family treasures as well as new things envisioned by the decorators. It was so nice to be able to share my blue and white holiday home with the public and hear their comments later. We were out of our house for three days but this was minor inconvenience compared to the money that was raised for charity.

Just like you, I became a grandmother this year! Very very special indeed, because I never had children. Both my stepsons and their families have welcomed me with open arms. How lucky are we?!!

Surrounding myself with lovely items in my home has been a solace, during difficult times. Everyone has them, it’s how we handle them, with dignity and grace. (I’m working on that!). Thanks, Tina. Happy New Year.

I celebrated a milestone birthday and instead of a trip or party I opted to make my dining room more enchanted. I had the ceiling wallpapered in an arbor pattern that compliments my wicker pedestal and urn from TEH.

One of my many memories of 2024 is being surrounded by a loving husband, my three sons and their wives and and my beautiful 7 Grandkids. Thanking God for healing our almost 2 year old Granddaughter who was in the hospital at the start of 2024. Wishing you and your family a New Year filled with Health, Love, Peace and Joy!

Going to Italy mar 7 and would love to see part 2 post on your restaurants. Loved your pics!

Thank you Tina for your comments on your little Philip! I have 7 grandsons, that have been my love and Joy in my life, but had a little grandaughter born on Dec 25th! Her middle name is mine! Joy!!!

My best memory is my husband and I choosing to put electronic devices down when come in from work and relax on couch together and listen to a classic vinyl record or read book
Tune out the negativity and relax & enjoy each other !

Like you, Tina, my happiest memories from 2024 are those of time spent with my young grandchild. So Precious! My second favorite memories are of travels through Alaska. Such an amazing wilderness. Also on my list, reading your Seven on Sundays – always a treat!!

I read your comments and other than lack of travel, I agree with all. Thru the eyes of a baby, your heart swells with love. My grandbaby is three years old but the love and joy is still there. This year , Santa was really REAL thru him.❤️

Our best memory for 2024 is moving into our last home after all the renovations were completed and working to complete the decorating phase. (Decorating is still ongoing.) It was made bitter sweet by the loss of our sweet dog to cancer. A wonderful surprise has been the new friendships we have made in our new place. Happy New Year!

My best memory is the love of my children and grandchildren. I don’t ever want to forget. My mother pasted away of Alzheimer’s and I pray each day for letting me have another day to love and be loved! ❤️

It’s such a delight to see The Enchanted Home in my inbox. You have a gift for style, and also a gift for creating warm connections via your authenticity. What a beautiful role model for your sons and for Phillip!! Thank you for sharing your self with us and I love the Enchanted Home sprinkles throughout my house. May 2025 be fantastic for all of us and I agree with you on peace. I’ve added peace and respect for one another to my prayers. God bless and thank you.

Oh, and your question – my best memory of 2024 is when I retired after 36 years as an Exec at Procter and Gamble. I was surrounded by my Mom, Godmother, husband, son and daughter in love and so many special colleagues. They created an experience that was breathtaking and heart / soul warming for me

While our family visits each other as often as we can, our entire family of 17 gathers only twice a year at our home. Once in the summer and always for Christmas. The 9 grandchildren are close in age and get along wonderfully from the minute they see one another. No awkward moments before chaos reigns!! These are my favorite memories that are treasured each time until the next visit with everyone there. I wish you a New Year filled with abundant blessings.

Happy New Year! I too visited tulip displays in Amsterdam this year and was thrilled with the beauty. Definitely a favorite memory from 2024.

My best memory of 2024 was in April when our 38 year old son announced that his brain cancer (diagnosed in September 2023) was fully in remission, that he needed no more treatment and that he could resume his life. He still has some residual side effects from the chemo but other than that he’s back to his new normal.

My best memory of 2024 was taking a road trip to Arkansas to visit Crystal Bridges with my adult son. Just a lot of sing alongs, good food and reminders of how much I like man he has become.

My best memory was welcoming my daughter home after being in the CCU for 13 days! What a blessing!

My best memory of 2024 was in April, spending a week at the “Royal Hawaiian” celebrating my son’s 40th birthday. After suffering a TIA at the age of 36, caused by a chiropractic adjustment, he returned to work full time as an airline pilot in 2024, with a clean bill of health.

My best memory of 2024 was spending a week in Hawaii celebrating my son’s 40th birthday. After suffering a TIA at the age of 36, he returned to work full time in 2024 with a clean bill of health.

Best memory from 2024 was moving back into our home post a 12 month renovation! Good luck with your renovation, looking forward to watching the progress and adminirng the beauty of your choices!

My best memory from 2024 was watching the whales in Alaska. It was beautiful and humbling. I’would do it again in a minute,

My best memory of 2024 is our neighbors and us (in northern Illinois) hosted a group of teens from Ukraine, who had all lost their dads in the war, to a summer picnic! We had outdoor games, hot dogs, pasta salad and more, plus Oreos and Coke (which they had requested). We then took them on jet ski and pontoon boat rides. For just a little while before flying home to Kiev, they were just kids having fun!

Thank you for a year of inspiration, beautiful treasures to add to our homes, delicious recipes, inspiring words, travel adventures and of course your little Prince Phillip. Wishing you a prosperous, safe, New Year. Thank you for always bringing sunshine to my day. I look forward to every post and seeing what fun you have to share and inspire your followers. Cheers to 2025.

After many years of trying to control my life and being impatience , God has given me the peace and understanding to trust Him. I can’t say this is a memory but a life lesson that an old dog can still be taught wisdom. Always be open to learning everyday regardless of age.

My best memory of 2024 was finally renovating our dated bathroom. After a long 3 months, it’s finally done and beautiful!!!

2024 was a fun year with travel to Norway, Iceland and Great Britain. Loved meeting new friends along the way, plus the beauty was unbelievable.

2024 was the year my college friends and I celebrated 75 years of living and 57 years of friendship. Although we are scattered here, there and everywhere, the bonds of friendship keep us united.

My best memories of 2024 was our singing in the church choir for our Christmas cantata and Christmas Eve services. It is so heart warming to see all the people celebrating our savior’s birth.

2024 had the best and worst memories.
Having my beautiful daughter grab my hands, look into my eyes and to say thank you and I love you on her wedding day which I executed with blood sweat and tears is a sweet memory I’ll never forget. Can a sad memory be a best memory?
When my Dad and I realized it was his time to go, I had to choke out the words that it was time for hospice. He grabbed my hand and weakly squeezed it thanking me for taking care of him. I ugly cried with my hand on his heart as he took his last breath knowing he loved me and I did my best for him. Truely bitter and sweet to honor him in that way. I miss him terribly.

My best memory of 2024 is that my husband and granddaughter survived with no injuries a crash that totalled our Volvo XC90 SUV, which is a very sturdy car. The car that hit them was totalled also. We had our cars blessed a few months back by Father Luke since our granddaughter will be driving soon. I am grateful to Volvo for building such a safe car but most grateful to the angels that were sitting on their shoulders that day.

We also welcomed a first grandchild this year. A beautiful baby girl born to my son and his sweet wife. It is indeed a very special love one holds for a grandchild. Looking forward now to another grandchild in April when my daughter and her husband welcome a new baby. Life is good <3

Always love your decor segments or trip summaries! Thank you for bringing so much beauty to our lives!

Happy New Year. I have so many memories from 2024. My very favorite is learning recipes from my Mema. I have been taking turns with my Mama to take care of my Mema. She is no longer able to stay by herself. We have made so many precious memories over the past few months. Memories I will cherish forever.

HAPPY, HAPPY NEW Year! There is nothing like a new year with a new baby OR a new baby ON THE WAY! Your baby grand, Phillip is just a doll baby came to life! Love, love his pictures! You have captured his sweet infant essence so well!
My new year will also include a new baby grand! Boy or girl, we do not know as my daughter and SIL want a surprise! I was at an ultrasound and I DO know WHERE to look, however, I have a super modest little grandbaby! Not a hint as to the gender at all the way the tiny legs were positioned!
My favorite memory of ’24 was Fathers Day and going out to an early dinner with my daughter and SIL. They had requested a table privately located, out of the way (unusual for this life of the party couple) There seemed to be a delay in ordering and it appeared the hostess was keeping a close eye on us when all of a sudden my daughter passed me a small box with a necklace nestled inside and I looked up, surprised b/c it was Fathers Day . Next, I was passed an envelope containing a surprisingly recognizable ultrasound picture. Yes, my girl was expecting! The little gold necklace has a charm with the name my little grand baby will call me! A beautiful little soul on the way!

My niece’s wedding was my favorite memory of 2024. She was absolutely beautiful and looked so happy. All three of my young adult boys were home with us which made the weekend even more special.

My favorite memory is spending time with family that lives far away. What a blessing to have family members who are so wonderful and loving!

My best memory of 2024 was when I took in a little kitty who had lived on her own for a long time. She weighed 4 pounds when I took her to my veterinarian. He surprised me when he said she was around 12 years old. She is resting in my lap right now and has filled out beautifully. She is a totally indoor cat, and never has to be freezing cold or hungry. It feels good to do something for another, even if an animal.

One of my favorite memories of 2024 was a trip to France with very close friends. We had the best time! A sad memory is the loss of a younger brother.

I too have a lust for lacquer! I agree Tina, the best is yet to come. Whenever I feel a little overwhelmed with whats happening in the world, I just take stalk of what I do have and feel thankful for and make a point to look for the good. It helps. ❤️

My best memory from 2024 was spending time in Naxos, Greece with my children and grandchildren for y 70th birthday.

Happy New Year Tina. Each day I read your postings I marvel at what you are able to accomplish in a day, week, or month–run your business, entertain guests, interactive with family, on and on. Enjoy that new little guy–time will go very quickly!

My best memories from 2024 are the times spent with at home with family, especially those with my 90-year-old mother. Priceless.

Sadly 2024 was a difficult year losing my Mom and one of my oldest and dearest friends suddenly and within weeks of each other. Wonderful memories got me through along with the addition of two wonderful new babies making me a great aunt 💕

Happy New Year Tina! Thank you for all your inspiring posts and blog!
I truly enjoy your talent for decorating, entertaining and recipes. Thank you for sharing your highlights of your trips too.
Congrats again on being a grandparent! Baby Philip is so precious!

My favorite memory of 2024 is my family being all together for certain holidays and parties. Every get-together, everyone was able to attend. It made me so happy!
Also, having everyone including my sister and her entire family over for Thanksgiving.

My best memory of 2024 was being able to take my beautiful wife on a cruise to Tahiti and Bora Bora and the Society Islands. It’s the most beautiful place on Earth and our best trip of our lives, so far!

Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year! 2024 brought good news when I found out that my brain tumor hasn’t grown or changed!

I would have to say my favorite post was your trip to Amsterdam! I love flowers so much and it was incredible to see the rows and rows of brightly colored tulips. Thank you for the virtual visit! Such a treat!
