Well, I am finally coming up for air! What a week..moving is no joke. And I am also happy that this is the second to last move I will ever make. Yes, you heard it here. We went out to dinner with friends last night and towards the end of the evening I was literally falling asleep and we had to ask for the check. Just an exhausting week.  I feel like I am still recovering and plan on getting a little time today to put up my feet and relax, we have a dinner tonight but that should be a nice treat. Hope your weekend is going well! I will be sharing a lot more about our new digs as well as where things are with our renovation in an upcoming Renovations Diaries post next week.

OK onward to the post this Sunday….

1 READY MADE DRAPES So I was so excited at the thought that some beautiful custom drapes in our house could work in my new bedroom but alas they were about 9″ too short. There is no way to make them work, I will look to put them elsewhere otherwise they are going into storage for when we move back to the house.

I am now scouring the internet for simple ivory drapes as a temporary fix. I do not want to spend a fortune and have found a few possibilities. One I found on Etsy, I like because she sells them with the trim and I think her prices seem really fair. Or I will purchase some reasonable panels add trim on my own. Any recommendations?

2 NAD OK I have only been on this for a bit over a  week BUT I am not sure if its my imagination or not, however I seemed to have had a bit burst of energy the lats few days and trust me the timing could not have been better (with the move, I needed every ounce of energy I could muster)! So I am taking the brand, Reus Research  which was recommended to me and I take 2 capsules a day.I hear it can do wonders for your energy level, skin and overall stamina. I will report back in a few weeks to see if this is my imagination or not! Is anyone anyone else taking NAD? Curious what your results have been?  Click here for info

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Just lots of pretty random instagrams…..

4 BEAUTIFUL NASHVILLE HOME  Just love the layered rich elegance of this Nashville home filmed by Schumacher It is super sophisticated, love the natural tones, just very well done, and I just love hearing their accents too:)

5 LOREAL COLOSONIC STICK? Almost seems too good to be true.  Have you seen this, seems genius! Its about time they came up with something like this,  there is a lot of buzz about this self coloring wand. Great for people who do a single color  treatment which sadly I do not. I am hoping they come up with something for highlights! Click here for more info

6 NEW LANTERNS! We are rolling out a beautiful new lantern styles and could not be more excited about them! We have approved the samples and they are in production. We should have these mid to early March. I am already scoping out areas where to use them. Now, I need your opinion on a few colors we are considering. The green is a must, want to offer 2 other colors, your choice to weigh in….

And we are doing these as a sconce as well!

This is the first new style I developed and admittedly did it because I want to use it in a spots in my own home, loving the way its looking mid production… ignore the colors we are doing this in an ivory, a soft blue and a green.

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY If/when you have moved which space did you find to be the most work/challenging? For me, hands down it was the kitchen. The kitchen wasn’t even a huge kitchen, but it had a decent sized pantry and a few closets and oh my word, could not believe how much I accumulated and that was with things still in storage! As we began to pack up, I must say the kitchen hands down was by far the most work, the most exhausting and tedious. I kept joking that it felt like things were reproducing over night!

Thanks as always for stopping in, wishing everyone a fabulous day. I am off to organize, organize, organize…at least for part of the day. Then its our Sunday lunch with my son, daughter and law and Mr Phillip, always the highlight of every Sunday. Tonight we are invited to a small dinner party which would be nice and then its time to roll up my sleeves for the workweek! Wishing you a great day, until next time….

Love your blog. I get all your emails, except your Seven on Seven! Last month they just stopped. I go to your website to read it though. Am I doing something wrong? Enjoy your relaxation today.

Check out Two Pages Curtains on Amazon. I purchased Ivory for my living room and added a trim. The first pleat was too close to the edge but a friend showed me how to move it over so there was room for my 3 inch trim.

On the subject of moving kitchens….,….. imagine moving and packing up your kitchen if you had a Kosher kitchen ……with three sets of most things (pots, flatware, good dishes, every day dishes, kitchen tools, knives, dish drying racks ,) , 1 set for
preparing and eating dairy meals, 1 set for preparing and eating meat meals and a third kept “Parve” often glass, for things that go w either one like veg and fruit. I keep my food processor parve and only use for things that are neither meat or dairy….. AND a separate whole set up of dairy/meat/ parve for Passover (only 8 days of the year) . That’s A LOT of STUFF.

Tina go to Ballards Design.com they have readymade drapery offered in three lengths that also come in whites and off whites They might work for you plus they will also make custom drapes in a couple different headers that are lined and not terribly expensive These are great for Guest Bedrooms and they offer matching bedskirts also..You can also COM them..Hope this is helpful You can also get free samples, including Performance Fabrics with lots of Whites to chose from plus velvets and I think silks or silk fascimilies..

Everything is beautiful today, BUT those lanterns- wow! I must have two for my new sunroom. Well done, love seeing all the new things that you are creating.

Yes, kitchens by a long shot are the hardest and most tedious to pack up. We just moved about 8 months ago and I still am reeling from the experience:-)

Heard and reading a lot about NAD but have not tried it, I will continue to read to see what you have to say about it.

I need draperies like you describe as well! Please let us know from where/ from whom you end up purchasing them. Love seven on sunday. Thanks for educating and entertaining us ( and offering us beautiful things for our homes and gardens!)

Try twopagescurtains.com – they also sell on amazon. They have custom curtains with a selection of side trim. Good luck!
