Well after a week of being sick flu then strep, if all goes according to plan I will be in my happy place by the time you read this. Have some friends coning in and. just looking so forward to a week of some much needed downtime and just not being home bound. So tired of look at tissues, cough drops and medicine! The two best natural healers are my almost daily visits with Phillip, who I just cannot get enough of and Palmetto Bluff. Hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend. Onward to my post this weekend…
1 PARK AVENUE IN THE SPRING One of the highlights in the city no doubt is seeing spring come to life, thanks to the Fund for Park Avenue, who plants thousands of tulips among the incredible cherry blossom trees. It is a beautiful sight to behold!
And lunch at the new Casa Tua on Madison is always a good idea!
2 MOST BEAUTIFUL COUTURE SHOW I will never forget when I saw this 2018 Chanel couture show. Breathtakingly beautiful with the treillage, white flowers everywhere and magnificent clothing. Worth sharing again….
3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST So many fresh, happy and inspiring instagrams this weekend….
4 AN AMAZING STORY I hope you will take 2 minutes to watch this INCREDIBLE video, it might just change your mood.This story will make you cry but happy and inspired tears. If this is not love and humanity at it’s very finest, I don’t know what is. When he said “he’s not heavy, he’s my brother” and “Kyle uses my legs and I use his spirit”. I really lost it. AMAZING!
5 THE BEST GIFT IDEA I HAVE SEEN IN YEARS! I was so excited when I found out about this that I ordered two gifts right away. I think this is one of the best most unique gift ideas ever! One for my dad and another for a friend. Basically this company creates a book *using AI and their own information and turns it in novel! It can be fiction or non, paperback hardback. I think this is a phenomenal gift idea especially for someone who has everything or is hard to buy for.

She is a design darling in the world of interior design and will be hosting the second media lauded design summit at the iconic Mayflower Inn in Washington, CT. on June 20th and 21st. We recently committed to being a vendor there!
This sold out last year and surely will be again this year. It is an entire weekend of incredible shipping, design panels and work design related workshops. I have mentioned a few times how much I love the Mayflower Inn and Spa, a favorite weekend retreat so this is a win/win. Some people go and make a weekend out of it and others go for the day. 7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY I am getting the travel bug again. We are hoping to plan a family trip for late May or June. We do have a few destination wedding later in the year. Then I am hoping to plan another girls trip for late summer/early fall. I don’t know but turning the big “6 0” has me thinking about life in a whole new way. I don’t want to waste time. I have a lot of “to do’s” I want to accomplish in life and traveling is one of them!
I have a friend who took her sister to France for her 50th birthday, her sister flew back after the trip was over but my friend stayed in Europe and is traveling solo for 2 weeks all over the place. She is having the very best time and I am living vicariously through her! So…lets pretend you are jumping on a plane tomorrow, where would you be headed?

I would love to know more about the sweet little stuffed duck in the winning photo from your photo contest. I don’t know if the winner might see my question here and be willing to tell me where she found or who makes that sweet little duck. It ALMOST looks like a real baby duck!!! I’ve tried googling “Steiff baby duck” and “little stuffed duck in a basket” but did not find anything similar at all! Anyway, congratulations to the winner of this photo. The dining table vignette of the sweet duck in a basket on top of the vintage Desert Rose china is really sweet and cute! Also, did she use a duck at every place setting? Or just one? Or different baby animals? Just wondering what the whole table might have looked like! Thank you in advance if an answer is available! I love her creativity since I love making different holiday tablescapes myself!

My big 60 was last year. 61 arrived quickly 2 days ago and my best gift was a zoom call from my 3 year old grandson, William, singing the entire Happy Birthday tune via zoom from their home in Nashville. Simple pleasures are really the best!
