1 NYC SNAPS I spent a few days in the city and have to admit, I temporarily started daydreaming about living there again. Once there, there is a palpable energy that just sort of takes hold. Granted, not for everyone but definitely for me…plus we have such great memories from having lived there. I started an early morning as the city was just waking up and had fun taking some pictures..here are some of what I captured.

Love strolling and taking in the beauty of the old townhouses and brownstones, this one was a beauty!

This was a pretty entrance!

Grabbed a coffee at a favorite cafe, Maman and yes partial to their beautiful blue and white cups (good coffee too)

A trip to Mood Fabrics is like going to Disneyworld for me!

Always love seeing all the bikes lined up…wondering where they will be going

Reopened!

Love Eli’s- best breads!

Yes yes yes to an old fashioned corner bookstore!

2 SCOUT BAGS AND TOTES The first time I discovered Scout was when I won one of their big totes at a luncheon. I fell in love, it was huge, pretty, durable. Loved it so much I bought another (a bigger one)  and they both became my go to bags when I had to transport large amounts of things, I used it for many trips to Palmetto Bluff or the Hamptons and boy did it come in handy during my move.

I have since own a small family of them! I recently used the biggest ones during my move to personally move valuable items like china, crystal (things I didn’t want the movers to move) and always use my mid sized one for the market. These are well priced too.

They are literally indestructible and feature pretty designs! Now they make a whole host of styles, sizes and patterns. Could not recommend them highly enough. Here are my top faves, click here to see all of them! Click here to see my choices

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST A lot of gorgeous beauty…..

4 AUGUSTA COLE When we were scrambling to try and plan a wedding in just a few months last year for my son and now daughter in law, Augusta Cole was the first event planner on my list and the very first one I called. I have always enjoyed her beautiful not overly done but super elegant aesthetic. I am sure at some point we will be using her for something. Here is a look at some of her work and you can click here to follow her beautiful events on Instagram

5 DREAMING OF AMSTERDAM I had so much fun when I was there last year, have been dreaming of going back ever since! And in fact, I may be taking a short trip with a friend to go back to the Royal Delft factory to order my delft tiles for my new kitchen….good of excuse as any. So thought you might enjoy this fun video

6 CHARMING AIRY SEA ISLAND HOME Lovely vibe to this pretty Sea Island, Ga home….I especially love the way the bedrooms are done. Click here to read about it

7 SUNDAYS SURVEY Cannot tell you how many time this has happened to me, and each time I was so annoyed. Say you are in a busy parking lot, scoping the lot for a good spot……you finally see someone getting into their car. But do they move? No! They sit there, putting on makeup, eating, talking on their phone, etc…..which is totally their prerogative but if you see someone obviously waiting, don’t you think it would be nice and polite to wave and let them know you are not leaving?

I would venture to say most people do not. I personally always do if I am not planning to back out right away. I mean, its a little common courtesy! What do you think?

And that’s a wrap. Hope you liked the post and I always like to hear from you when something in particular resonates. Hope you have a wonderful day and great end to your weekend! Until next time….

I love NYC! I need a scout bag for my own move coming up- i always pack up my own personal belongings.
I always would be polite to someone waiting if I were not leaving right away. People are just so rude today!

Hope you go to Amsterdam again. We went in December before a Christmas market cruise. So surprised how we loved it. Would love to follow you if you go again

A lot to like here. I love scout totes too, perfect beach and pool bag.

Shocked 75 of your readers think its fine to sit and not move out of their parking spot without so much as a not moving gesture. Wow this is America today. I am with you, Tina- always polite and courteous of other people’s time.

Love your city pictures- brings back great memories of when I lived there working for Vogue as a 24 year old. Best times!
