Hi there! I don’t know about where you are but over here its H O T!!!!! We got to 98 degrees yesterday (much hotter with heat index) and today promises to be as brutal. Let me tell you this heat and humidity is not for the faint of heart. I feel like I wilt past 80 so suddenly I am craving crisp cool fall weather. Thankfully its supposed to “cool down’ and we will hover around the 80’s later in the week. We are having a party on Sat so I have been carefully monitoring the weather, looks like some rain. For the first time ever, this is what I have been hoping for!
It will make things easier in many ways for everyone to be indoors and this house is large so there’s plenty of room. This week I am busy and feel very rusty about entertaining for a large crowd so have lists galore. I am a total paper and pen list person. Can’t survive without them and love scratching things out as I go along- if you know you know!
Anyway the last few weeks into later July, we have a lot of things going on. So first I consult my closet and then I start deciding if I need something new or not. One thing I am definitely low on is summer daytime dresses, I have a few bridal showers to go to, and a christening. So I ordered several dresses and kept three. Felt like a big victory!
I think if there’s one buzzword for this summer its cool caftan type dressing. I love it, its flattering and so easy breezy and can easily go from day to night. I think they always look so chic. All you need is a little gold jewelry and you are good to go!
These were all contenders, love each and every one and many can take you day to night or be dressed up or down with sandals or heels, clutch or tote. Accessories as we know can really change things up. OK time to choose your three faves!
I also wanted to share these darling strappy flats in gold, love the flower detail. These look great with capris, skirts and sundresses. Comfy and so chic, and goes with every color! I love that the gold elevates the shoe so the style is casual enough for day but you can dress it up for evening too.
And that’s a wrap for this weeks Which would you choose! Summer is a short season so I don’t go crazy but I always like to add fun staples to my summer wardrobe that I know I will like and use beyond just this summer. A pretty dress is always in style! Thanks for stopping in, until next time……
I must say…. The dresses, while looking airy and most likely comfortable, do not do much for style especially if you do not want to camouflage your figure. Other than choice 6. Just my take of course, these things are entirely subjective.
What a fabulous collection! Love them all…think I just found the dress to wear for my nieces baby shower in a few weeks.

I love a good caftan, I live half the year in Palm Beach and here- elegant, chic caftans rule! I love your choices but 1,11 and 5 are my favorites.
PS A dear friend of mind thew herself a 55th birthday luncheon last year in Kiawah and it was themed “Caftan chic”. I never saw so many gorgeous caftans in one place!

Honestly, in my opinion, some of the dresses look like bathrobes! My 3 favorites are 6, 10 and 11.
