Hello and happy Sunday!  Hope you are doing well. We will have thrown a party last night by the time you read this and I am sure I will be “recovering”. I was stressing a lot over the week as I felt so rusty in throwing a party. Plus we are in a temporary house and a lot of my entertaining things are put away. I was lucky to find enough to use. Hopefully I will be soon reporting on what a success it was! And Sunday will no doubt be a day of rest and relaxation.

Onward to my post today…

And these amazing napkin rings are actually out of production so they will be en route here quite soon. Last time I asked people about them, you love them. I do too and am very excited for them to arrive! These will be here in approx 2 weeks and we will absolutely have an arrival sale on these beauties! Can’t wait to set a table with these beauties.

2 AMAZING LOBSTER ROLLS! Its summer and synonymous with lobster rolls. I love them and its always a special treat when I get to make them. So I made a round the other day when my son and daughter in law came over for dinner. They are easy to make and so so good!

  • Approx 1.5 lbs of lobster meat
  • 1 lemon
  • about 1/4-1/2 cup of mayonnaise (I love Hellman’s)!
  • 1-2 thinly sliced celery stalks *depending on your preference for crunch and celery
  • about 3 TBSP of chopped chives
  • Approx 2 TBSP of butter
  • Sliced top hotdog buns OR brioche buns

So get your lobster meat, I like it chopped pretty fine. Set aside. Mix togehter maynoaise most of the chives (set aside a small amoutn for garnish) squeeze juice of a whole lemon, add celery, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Gently fold in the lobster meat. You can amke this hae dof itme up to a few hours. I then get a sautee pan add the butter and coat the buns on both sides until golden (1 minute max) and add lobster mix to the warm buns. Sprinkle chives over it and serve with a big salad and fries if that sounds good!

Enjoy!

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Such a pretty and inspiring round up!

4 TURQUOISE FOREVER! During the summer especially, I LOVE adding turquoise for a real pop. I love it with white, red, yellow and even blue. Honestly there’s not a color it doesn’t look super chic with. I gathered some of my faves, at least five of these I own and wear often, most by Kenneth Jay Lane. Even if you are wearing a pair of white pants and a white t, a litlt turquoise can elevate the entire look instantly.  Click here to see all.

7. SUNDAY’S SURVEY I was laughing the other day when I was busy running all over town for various things for my party, and when I was in our Italian specialty shop, I had a lady behind me comment not only on my long list but my beautiful pad that I had written it on (thanks Arabella June)! We started a brief conversation and I told her that while I try to get used to putting things on my phone, I just love a lit that I can actually scratch things off from my paper lists (of which there are many) and she related to that. Wondering if I am alone or have company out there?

Those lobster rolls look amazing! Quick question; I see that they are served open face. Would I provide cutlery for this or is one expected to pick up half the roll and eat it in hand? Thanks!

Yes to turquoise, love how it dresses up anything. I love the lamp and darling napkin rings. The urn is really pretty but would not fit into my style home.
Those little girl dresses..oh my, incredible!

Craving a lobster roll 🙂 Love and will order those napkin rings! Hosting a bridal shower in Sept. will they be here?

My sister (she has 2 sons and now has 2 grandsons) and I (3 daughters and now 3 grandsons) had a conversation a couple of days ago how she was out and about shopping and telling me about what pretty dresses she saw for little girls – and boring or ugly clothes for boys…..I agreed and told her all you need to raise girls is tons of money…..they like everything from clothes to hair accessories to shoes to……..and all in abundance and because females are social animals every lesson in sports, dance etc. 😩

My daughters tease me that when i die, they’ll find a “to do” list in a coat pocket or bag with details for my funeral!
