Hi friends! Hope you are enjoying a nice weekend. Here its been a relaxing one, finally got some downtime and went into the city yesterday and last night was supposed to go to someones house for a dinner party which I was so looking forward to, but my husband got sick.

I know people don’t entertain in their homes the way they used to, but when it does happen it reminds me of how nice it is. I need to practice more of what I preach! I need to put something on the calendar of my own, was so sorry to have missed it. I am hoping to put something together late Aug/early Sept. OK, onward to my post this weekend….

1 THE PRETTIEST NEW WASTEPAPER BASKETS AND TISSUE COLLECTION! SO excited over this fabulous. new collection! Some of these are part of a collaboration with Danika Herrick,, the talent behind her beautiful eponymous wallpaper and fabric. line. Love how beautiful and fresh these all feel! Cannot wait till they arrive, they will be here in 4 weeks and we will be holding a presale on this and many other exquisite items in this shipment within 2 weeks!

2 QUINCE SWEATERS Where have these been all my life?I kept hearing about them but was unfamiliar with the brand. A brand that offers high quality cashmere and cotton sweaters at around $50?? I was intrigued and though its not quite sweater season yet, I do often bring a sweater cardigan out in the evening or if we are on the boat late in the day. So I ordered two and let me tell you, OVERJOYED is the word.

I could not get over how nice these were, the quality fantastic, perfect fit…an unexpected and wonderful surprise. I expect to put in a big order as we near fall. Are you familiar with Quince? You should check them out, rounded up some favorites here, click here to see them!

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST A beautiful roundup……

5 GORGEOUS HOUSE TOUR! Huge fan of Cathy Kincaid and this home is no exception..fun tour and so many details to take in….love those lacquered walls!

6 THE NEW LOUIS VUITTON CAFE IN NYC I have to admit I did not have an unrelenting desire to go but figured one day, I would make my way there (when the hoopla dies down). A friend however was determined to go and made it her mission, she finally snagged a lunch reservation so she invited me. I must say it was a lot of fun. The cafe is surprisingly small, hence why reservations are like winning a lottery. You can also do walk ins but the waits are long I am told. There is also a bar where you can have lunch but again that’s a wait.

They spent a fortune in this iconic building though it might not be my exact design taste/aesthetic,  I surely have an appreciation for what was done, it is dramatic and beautiful. The food? Surprisingly really good, we tried several things and not one disappointed. And kudos to them for figuring out a way to add their logo onto almost everything served! There is even a chocolate bar.I would say this is a must do for any Louis Vuitton lover or for anyone who wants to try the latest and greatest. I was really glad I got to go, we had a great time! So if you have the opportunity to go you definitely should, it was a really fun experience.

Loved how they hung luggage tags from the ceiling, such a creative use of their iconic luggage tags

The vast and massive four story atrium is something to behold and then there are very cozy and sophisticated smaller spaces that feel like a small private club

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY Blogging. Where it all began for me almost 11 years ago! I have to say I still really enjoy it as much as I did in the beginning. I started blogging when blogging was rising to its heights and it was exciting and new. I met many like minded friends through it. Sadly, nearly all. have stopped blogging and pretty much only do social media.

For me, however blogging has felt like a lifeline. Its part of my weekly routine and though there are weeks that it is more challenging to find time, I always do and when I do sit down to write my blog posts, I escape into my little world and its quite cathartic. So I am curious where you stand on blog reading? Check all that apply, just genuinely curious what the universe thinks when it comes to blogging.

Those new rechargeable table lamps…. Oh my!!! I definitely see those arriving at my house. The shades are adorable too!

Agree, your new rechargeable lamps are divine! I still read every word of every one of your blogs and look forward to them. I haven’t stopped subscribing or reading any of the others, either. There have been some bloggers who have retired or semi-retired and I agree their material had gotten a bit repetitive and stale. However, the bloggers I’m still following are great and worth every read.

I enjoy your blog and read religiously.
I am looking forward to the wastebaskets/ tissue boxes
Rechargeable lamps too

You are part of my Sunday mornings. Please continue… Love the rechargeable lamps and the floor lamp.

everything is so beautiful love every one of those waste paper baskets and tissues and in love with that new rechargeable lamp. I am hosting an end of season tennis luncheon at my club and would love to use those. Do you know when they will be in?

I enjoy reading blogs, but like you have said many have closed however, I still read three religiously one of which is definitely yours, I look forward to your every post and even if you posted every single day, I would read it every single day. It’s so much better than any magazine.!! please don’t ever stop. I have gotten so many great recipes from you bought so many of your recommendations and discovered your gorgeous home. Accessories line.

I look forward to reading your blog on Sunday with my coffee. Lots of pretty things and ideas.

Love the shape of the tole wastebaskets and tissue covers. Would love to see you do those in white with no design, or with gold accents. Love the bun feet!

It is my opinion that you have gradually segued from bringing your interests to your readers into the self promotion of your online store. Which is fine, but your blog is not what it once was – insipiring, helpful, and charming. I was disappointed today to see your Seven on Sunday consisted mostly of the promotion of your wares. You did sprinkle a bit of fashion although you may be getting some type of consideration/compensation from Quince. Your formula with a home video style video and cut and paste instagrams of interest have become predictable. I have been a follower from almost the beginning, so please consider my post coming from a good place.

While you are certainly entitled to your opinion, I would respectfully disagree-in the last 10 days, did a Which would you choose, Let’s talk, recap on my husbands 65th birthday, Seven on Sunday..to me that’s a pretty diverse lineup, if you ask me.
Re the “formula” you mentioned- I did a poll once asking which items people want to see every week on my Sunday posts, and the instagrams of interest and home videos were two of the tops- people said they discovered many new accounts this way and loved the house tours.
I do the very best I can and think I do a fairly good job of mixing things up. That said, I do own a business which is big part of what I do so yes, promotion of upcoming products is a given. This is a free blog, here for those who want to read it.
I appreciate your feedback but things change/evolve. My blog was just once a blog then it turned into a business and now its both:)

We found the Quince Cashmere Sweaters last year & were so impressed with the quality! I’m loving those wastepaper & tissue containers. Yours is the only blog I follow now…I think you’re correct about Instagram replacing blogs. I follow some excellent postings there.

LOVE YOUR BLOG! Yours and another culinary blog are the only two I follow religiously. Please do not change a thing!

And…those wastepaper baskets/tissues are to die for. Thank you for doing orange and yellow (so hard to find) and perfect for my island home. And don’t get me started on that rechargeable porcelain lamp, just exquisite and an immediate “add to cart”.

btw make your divine chicken salad weekly and think of you every time I do. Brought it to a recent picnic for my sons baseball team (we all brought something) and everyone raved about it

I wish that I lived close to New York to visit the new Louis Vuitton building. The exterior is fantastic, so iconic! Their food looks yummy too.
Really like the trash cans and tissue boxes. My office is pale pink and is just calling out for a trash can and tissue box.

I really want one of your recharable lamps!!!!
I had heard about Quince but was not sure about the products. But since you were so happy with your order I will try. I trust your judgement so much. Your recomendations have been fabulous! Mostly travel tips–reataurant in Amsterdam and the store City Pharma in Paris.
I want to try the Louis Vuitton Cafe. I am not a huge fan of their products but I think going to the Cafe would be fun. Going to suggest it to my friends for the late fall. I think one lady would love it. We went to Swifty’s in East Hampton when she was out here. She has been to the one in Palm Beach. Went with her years ago when one in the UES.

Hello dearest Tina
I hope you and your family are having a lovely Sunday. Firstly, I apologise for not leaving a belated Happy Birthday message to your husband on the post you did for your party. I hope you had a wonderful celebration. I went to see Stevie Wonder in concert ( my favourite artist ) around that time, on his uk tour so I was on a happy little music cloud for a while 🙂

I just wanted to say that I dearly love and appreciate your blog today, as much as I did the very first time I walked down the path to the Enchanted Home all those years ago. Being with you in such a world of beauty is now a very special part of who I am, I never miss a post. It means a great deal that you have given endless time and dedication to share so much with us all, over so many years. Your blog often sends me into creative inspiration that I would not have found without you.
Carrie Bradshaw once said that Vogue fed her more than dinner. This is a metaphor for the inspiration that you give to me.

Every post is also infused with your love and kindness, and the beautiful person that you are both inside and out always shines through the most. Thank you Tina, so very much for all that you do to make your blog so incredibly special for your devoted readers to enjoy. We love you and appreciate you more than words can say.
Sending my fondest love
Sallyxx

I really enjoy your blog Tina. I think it is one of the best I have read and so glad you are continuing it!

If you have the time, would you mind telling me the source for your instagram picture # 9, please?-it got covered up. I love that blue skirted table and would love to look at the other photos attached with it. Thank you! I am so excited about the blue and white rechargeable lamps-those are adorable! I never miss one of your blog posts and so appreciate the time you put into it. I follow a handful and so enjoy them-much more than the “instants” of Instagram-of which I only follow a few-I don’t like being pulled down that rabbit hole. 🙂

I love your blog! As long as you can, I hope you will continue! I have followed you for years now and have enhanced my home with many of your beautiful products and visited places you have reviewed on your blog! My husband and I visited Palmetto Bluff because of your recommendation. Thank you, I know it can become a chore, but I enjoy reading your blog.

thanks for such a kind comment….blogging is actually my little “escape” and I hope to do it a long time! Hope you enjoyed Palmetto Bluff!
