Good Thursday morning to you. Second day of non stop rain, though we needed it. Remnants of the hurricane way off shore. Happy it’s getting out of the system as we have a big event on Sat….Phillips first birthday! Can’t believe it and we are so excited to celebrate with our little guy.

A favorite oldie but goodie! I used to wear this fragrance religiously years and years ago. I smelled it on someone the other day, came home and ordered a bottle. I am “re-obsesssed” with it. Its called Cashmere by Donna Karan and if you love soft floral musky powdery scents, you will love this one! Click here
My new favorite Vitamin C which I use every morning and every night. It glides right on and feels so good on my skin. Vitamin C has become a must have to anyone who wants to protect their skin and its effectiveness is touted by pretty much all skin care gurus. I love this one and as you know I am a huge fan of Maya Chia in general.
And you know how much i love this little tub of goodness, I have one at home and one in my bag at all times. It is like a rich nutrient drink form my dry skin. Love this superblend so much. Click here
A few low/high favorite evening shoes. Finding a comfortable pair of evening shoes is like hitting the lotto. I will pay dearly for a good pair that I will wear over and over. We have had/have several dressy things to go to and i needed a beautiful pair of gold evening shoes. I tried on several and then when I tired this Gucci pair I was sold. I can walk in them! My feet were not killing me by the end of the night (major bonus points) and i love anything with a horsebit.
Yes, they are expensive but my feet are worth it, plus I know that I will use them over and over. I also needed another pair (silver) and somehow found this other pair (shorter) that were under $50 which are actually great looking as well. They didn’t work as well for two of the dresses but I did wear them with another and they were great. So talk about a good high and low!
Favorite new TV series…The Gilded Age! I am enjoying it so much, anyone else? Ahhh to step back in those civilized genteel times, sounds like a dream. Love the scenery, the civility, the wardrobes, the opulence.
A favorite piece of costume gold jewelry- A perfect gold cuff can make a simple outfit just a little more stylish. I own several cuffs and this one was not only a steal but really great looking! Now on sale for $22.00! Click here
Favorite every day flipflops. I wear Fitfltop almost every day to my office/warehouse. They are beyond comfortable, and let’s face it, going there is not exactly a fashion show. I save my good shoes for when I am. out and about. I always have an extra pair or two of my “nice shoes” in my car to change in and out of if I am going somewhere right after the office but now won’t have to:)
I was so excited to see they now make them with a raffia bottom and you know how I love raffia! So I ordered these immediately. Most comfortable shoe out there and now they have stepped it up a bit in the style dept! Click here to see these
Favorite thing to do on a weekend (day) Visit a farm stand! Few things honestly give me as much pleasure as stopping off at a farm or farmstand of some sort. I get SO inspired. I also go a little nuts with my camera, love taking pictures of produce. Anyone else?
New favorite gadget Who doesn’t love a great little kitchen gadget! I love this and use it every time I cook. Makes crushing garlic so super easy. Click here
Favorite music to listen to when I am on the computer, just makes me feel like I am temporarily away on a beautiful Tuscan Holiday)
New favorite robe. I wear robes 365 days a year. Nothing makes me happier than coming home and putting my robe on. Thicker and heavier ones for winter, lighter ones for summer/early fall. I recently found this robe and I adore it. It is a. mid weight and white goes with everything, so crisp and clean. Plus anything with a scallop gets extra points! Click here
A favorite website to get design ideas. I love Pinterest (who doesn’t) but another one I really enjoy is The Potted Boxwood who is a great source if you like really traditional interiors!
Another favorite gadget This is tied with the garlic press above. Not only do I love the look of this but it works well too. Maybe not as perfect in my current kitchen which is kind of dated but livable, but I will love bringing it to my new kitchen. Such a fabulous piece and great hostess gift idea as well! A favorite hostess idea gift These are $28.00 and I love them. I am a huge fan of notepads and have them at every desk, in my office and normally have one in my car. I am a defintiey list person. These are jumbo 8 x 8 notepads and make great gifts too. Fast turnaround as well. Click here
Favorite afternoon pickup. I love Starbucks dark roast iced coffee. This to me, almost tastes like dessert (maybe because I add half and half) I love filing a big glass with ice and enjoying this cool and refreshing summer beverage. I try not to drink it after 1pm but on days like today when we are invited somewhere and i am wiped, I need it!

Oh my goodness…..Cashmere Mist was my favorite perfume for so many years too! In fact, I still have a roll on travel vial of it! Does perfume expire by the way??? A few years back, I discovered Molecule 01 and it is all I wear now. I don’t care for strong scents and Eccentric Molecule offers formulas that blend to each specific user. Subtle and light, it is worth trying.
For any years I have been wearing Jo Malone Red Roses. I combine the scent with the body cream around my wrists and behind my ears as well. This combo lasts all day and I receive so many compliments. I sometimes combine Red Roses with Nectarine and Honey blossom too. They are all very fresh fragrances which I prefer.

I love Vaseline for so many things, a few times a week I slather my feet in it then put on socks which I sleep in and my feet are baby soft in the morning.

Your post just reminded me that I wanted to recommend a robe for you and anyone else who is always on the lookout for “the perfect robe” I ordered a full length, light terry, blue with white scalloped trim, robe from Weezie. It has an attached belt and roll sleeves which can be buttoned on the sleeve so it doesn’t get wet or messed up washing dishes, counters, etc. I have found the perfect robe for me and hope they come out with one for winter as well Thought you might be interested as I LOVE my new robe!

I’ve been wearing Aromatics by Clinique since my 20’s! I always get compliments and my oldest granddaughter once said that she knows me by my “perfume scent”!
I love the fitflops with rafia heels. I tried wearing fitflops several years ago and my knees really ached afterwards. Curious if anyone else has had this happen to them. Love the scalloped robe. I googled scallop collared robe a few weeks ago! Nothing came up. Belk has fabulous clothes at a reasonable price. Favorite things is a fun post.
Already ordered the note pads and am ordering the pepper mill, which I agree is a great value. Love Potted Boxwood and can’t wait for season 4 of The Gilded Age. Thanks so much for sharing these favorites.
Oh my! I can’t believe you are a Cashmere Mist devotee. I love it. I have had people say they recognize the fragrance on me. For a long while I was able to get the 32 oz. lotion on ebay for a very reasonable price but it has had a come back and now it is so very expensive once again. The lotion is wonderful!

Best C Serum by far is Skinceuticals —shoes are super but for those of us with narrow feet…always a challenge to find any that fit…at any price
