Hi there, hard to believe it’s already that time of year, when summer is winding down! How is already Labor Day weekend and where did summer go? Feels like I was just getting started:) Every season, as you know we hold seasonal photo contests. I love getting in your spectacular pictures of the various seasons.
I am sure, by now many of you have amazing pictures from summer. I know I have, maybe too many:) So we are opening up taking your entries for our Summer Love photo contest. The winner will win a big box of Enchanted Home goodies, I promise you will not be disappointed!
So first here are the basic rules to enter then I always like to feature some previous entries that I think exemplify what “good picture” quality looks like for reference. We cannot wait to start getting your pictures in!
THE SUMMER LOVE CONTEST RULES AND HOW TO ENTER-
You can send in 1-2 pictures (must be your own pictures)
Pictures must be AT LEAST 400 x 600 (cannot take anything smaller) so please check the size you are sending first
Pictures cannot be downloaded from the internet, there are strict laws about doing this with regard to copyright, etc…
Please email pictures toinfo@enchantedhome and be sure to put the words “contest” on subject line (only pictures sent to this email address will be considered)
Clarity, color and size matter (examples of a good quality picture are below)
We are taking pictures today throughSept 12th
If we cannot take your pictures we will let you know
The contest will start the week of Sept. 15th
One grand prize winner will win a big box of assorted Enchanted Home goodies! (porcelain, wicker, glass, holiday, etc…)
I always like to include pictures from. last year’s contest that exemplify beautifully what a “good entry” looks like. Most taken in natural light, crisp and clear. No glares or overhead lights. Please use these as a barometer in terms of a good quality entry-

I am making a suggestion because when children and dogs are included it becomes a different contest. We know from the start the photos of children always win so why not rename the contest “Cutest Kid” or something.
Hi actually we looked back to our last 5 contests and of the 5, only one had a winner that involved a child or a pet. They do get a lot of votes however only one actually won.
