Hello and happy Sunday! I am so happy because we have had a few months of non stop things to go to to, obligations, weddings, engagements, showers, etc..its been pretty non stop as you may have read about in my Le’ts Talk post (click here if you missed it). The final stop on this “tour” was a quick trip to Florida and its all over! I am so happy, I feel like I can exhale, get back to my normal schedule and just enjoy some much needed down time. I have been looking forward to this for a long long time, and hoping to get down to Palmetto Bluff for at least a week for the full decompression experience.

We are getting busy over here to prepare for the holiday seasons with a lot of fabulous new things coming your way. The tariff situation did impact a few things that were on the burner (which will wait until next year) but happy to say most of what we have planned is in motion and fabulous if I say so myself, we will be sharing it with you soon. Onward to my post……..

1 OUR JUMBO PUMPKINS Our pumpkin collection has never flown out as fast as they have this year. I think people seemed anxious to welcome fall (I sure am)and if our near empty pumpkin patch is any indication, then I am onto something. We are down to the about 18 left of jumbo and I do mean jumbo pumpkins.

These make such a statement! I love them in planters, by a front door, on a front or back door stop. They are fun but so elegant and sophisticate. I just brought four home and put them in the four planters in front of our house. I normally fill in the bottom with small mum plants to complete the look, will work on that next week.  Click here to see whats left (you can click on each style to see what sizes are left)

2 SOMETHING NEW AND VERY EXCITING Sneak peek! Say goodbye to boring red and green Christmas tree stands! Introducing our fabulous new chinoiserie and wicker tree stands. We will offer these in two sizes and the chinoiserie will be available in three colors- ivory, green and red. Beyond excited to get these and set up a tree! We hope to hold a presale on these sometime early/mid October! These are two of our samples for your eyes only…

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST A lovely prefall and prettiness roundup….

4 TWO PREFALL/FALL CHIC MUST HAVES I bought these two pieces (great transitional pieces) from Tuckernuck and LOVE them. The blazer/jacket is so chic and will be a big part of my fall/winter wardrobe. Great fitting, well priced and love the brass buttons. I bought it in black and now eyeing the green.

The black dress is a great transition piece. I wore it on a warmer day but also wore it a few nights ago with a cashmere sweater cardigan over my shoulders and it was perfect, as the night got cooler I put the sweater on and it was equally great looking. Both great pieces as we transition from warmer to cooler weather.

5 RUST AND BLUE AND A RANGE UPDATE So the other day I spoke of how I love the combination of rust and blue and wouldn’t you know I came across this gorgeous paper from Danika Herrick. So pretty! I may have to find a place to use this. Click here to see all of her spectacular designs!

And in my Renovation Diaries post the other day (click here)  I spoke to being on the hunt for ranges. I  had a very long appt.  at a large appliance store and the gentleman who helped me (who came highly recommended) was super knowledgeable (and patient) I even got to test run a few of the ranges that we narrowed it down to. Right off the bat he talked me out of 4 brands so it came down to Cornue Fe and Bluestar. Bluestar was originally designed for the commercial culinary industry so is very heavy duty. I also love they are made right in Pennsylvania where they employ a large part of a small town.

They ended up being almost the same price, but I am leaning towards the 60″ Blue star. It is considered by all to be the most powerful range (almost 25,000 BTUs), has two huge ovens (glass door- big plus for me) even two large commercial baking sheets can fit into them. And there’s lots of customization available….even, getting to custom color, which I love! A friend of a friend owns one so I am going to go over there soon to find out more and watch how it performs (they love it). It is also available as induction, gas or both. So I will keep you posted.

6 THE GIRLFRIEND AND BLACK RABBIT So we just finished The Girlfriend. 2 episodes in,  I wasn’t really sure if I liked it but we stuck with it as its the #2 series on Netflix. There were a lot of twists and turns (strange ones but entertaining) Robin Wright was really good in it,  the scenery alone and beautiful interiors as a big perk! But it was no doubt a thriller, almost Fatal Attraction vibes.

Black Rabbit is the other getting a lot of buzz. Looks more like a show for my husband than me, but we are starting it tonight,  as Justin Bateman is so good as is Jude Law. Any other recommendations?

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY  Over the years I have had many series and I would love to know which three were your tops? This will help me as I map out my blogging schedule as to which kinds of posts you enjoy the most.

Watched both. Robin Wright is such a good actress. The Black Rabbit was okay. The scenes in Black Rabbit were so dark (filmed in bar). Both of these series were average, but the acting made me stick with it.

I love that you are going with the Blue Star range! My brother is a chef and owns one in his home, he swears by it. Love those giant pumpkins! Can they stay out in inclement weather?
Started The Girlfriend, haven’t had time to finish it but maybe this week. Did you see the new Charlie Kirk doc? I am hoping to watch that tonight.
Have a nice Sunday!

I can’t possible rate your posts as I enjoy EVERYTHING you have to say. i love your house journey…I vicariously get to ride along! Now for your tips on skin products……they have ben fabulous. I’ve also loved your wonderful perfume tips…i buy almost everything you suggest!!! I’m definitely a follower and you keep me up to date as i am 84 years old!! You must be a fabulous woman to handle all that you do. Joyce G

I bought the 60’ blue star 4 years ago when we built our new kitchen. I highly recommend it! I also have the salamander which I didn’t expect to use so often. Rarely a day goes by that I don’t use it. Blue Star also made the hood and it is a dream!

What size did you order in the jacket? The size chart was different from many. Thanks.

I know your range will be just great….. I’d be interested in why you were talked out of the other brand of ranges…..As I am redoing my kitchen in the next year. For me personally, I also think ranges are beautiful and very sexy….and I would love to have one…… just for their cooktop. I would never use the ovens because I roast veggies and dinner on sheet pans pretty much every day and night!! I use my ovens ALOT but. I do NOT want to keep bending down to get stuff out of the oven or to check how it’s doing. Wall Ovens for me.

We just finished Black Rabbit and it was incredible – I expect lots of
Emmys and Golden Globes for the amazing cast and crew.
One of my favorite Netflix shows is “Nobody Wants This.” It’s a delightful RomCom. You can watch Season 1 now and Season 2 will be available in October!!!

It was hard to decide which ones of your series were my top three, but I did case a vote. Just want to say that I really like all of them.

The Girlfriend is fabulous but she is Robin Wright and does not use or like to be Robin Penn
Go with Blustar range it is spectacular

another vote for the blue star range. We bought a house last year and the kitchen had just been redone and there was a 48 inch blue star in it. I have never cooked on such a fantastic stove not to mention. It’s very pretty. I believe the hood is also made by them so that’s something you might want to also look into. I love your clothing recommendations. I need to order that jacket and the Christmas tree stand is brilliant.

Those jumbo pumpkins are amazing. and love the tree stand.
Greatly value all your recommendations, and trust them. Have bought lots of great things thanks to you!
That range is so beautiful. We are doing a big reno next spring and now this will go on my radar (bluestar) I thought i was going with a Wolf or maybe LaCanche, but a friend bought Lacanche and isn’t thrilled said its “tinny” feeling and not very consistent. Please keep us posted on all your kitchen choices!
Really enjoy all your posts.

I was in your same position last year trying to determine which range to purchase, either the Cornue Fe or Blue Star. My sister was once a caterer and loved her professional Blue Star. Later, she purchased a Blue Star for her home and highly recommended the Blue Star, which is what I purchased in a wonderful color. I couldn’t be more delighted. I cook everyday and wanted an exceptional, yet handsome range. Also, the appliance dealer told me that the Blue Star was superior. I have a close friend that previously had a Cornue Fe and although she loved the look, explained that the Cornue Fe would not simmer as she had hoped. You won’t regret purchasing the Blue Star. Congratulations!

The Morning Show on Apple TV just started season 4 and has been renewed for season 5. The Newsroom vibes, but on a network Morning Show behind the scenes, intrigue and all. It’s SO GOOD.

Hi Tina
I hope you have had a lovely relaxing weekend, home at last after such a busy time. When fall arrives it always reminds me of you, the golden light on the turning foliage is so beautiful. I joined your poll for subjects in your blog posts. My favourites will always be interior design based as that is the main thing we both share, but I have to add how much I enjoy your beauty, skincare and makeup recommendations, and other beauty/wellbeing advice posts. They have helped me find new products which I now love. Wishing you a wonderful week
With Love, Sallyx

Really enjoy all your posts.

Back in June we switched internet providers, and I had to change my email address. Ever since I have no longer received your blog and emails. Is there any way to check on your end to rectify this? I have tried multiple times to add the correct address to your subscribe sidebar and get the message email already used. You are one of the best blogs I received, and I am devasted that I am no longer hearing from you.
