**Mailchimp who sends our posts has had a big of a hiccup the last day or two, really hoping this finally posts at 12 (tech- can’t live without but it can be frustrating at times)!!**

Hello friends, been a long time since I have done one of these! I think I want to make them more of a regular post again…always fun:)  As we just signed off on our own kitchen (very happy about that) kitchens have been on my brain, so thought it would be fun to do one of these posts on kitchens. To me, a kitchen is the heart of the home. A place where I feel comfortable, a place where I like to gather with family and friends (except when I doing cleanup- I want everyone OUT) haha.

I have an appreciation for all styles of kitchen when done well. Of course, an abundance of natural light to me, makes any kitchen instantly look more appealing. But so much more goes into designing a well done kitchen.  I like what I like and there are so many wonderful and beautiful ways to create a kitchen, dependent on your particular style. I tried to include a wide variety of styles here and you know the drill, which 3 are your faves?

OK, your turn to choose your three favorites! Which could you see yourself in, cooking and entertaining in, etc….

And while I am it, was having this discussion with someone a few weeks ago. She’s had a kitchen for about 9 years and really doesn’t love it anymore, we were discussing at what point can one warrant changing an existing kitchen.  What do you think?

And that’s a wrap for this Which would you choose. I love looking and studying the details of kitchens, more now than ever since we just finished designing one. There were quite a few changes and lots of iterations but in the end, I feel really good about it.

Its a very big expense and one to invest as much time and planning as possible in. It will be fun for me to see which three come out on top! What are your must have’s/non negotiable in a kitchen? Would love to hear. Thanks for stopping in. Wishing everyone a wonderful day and stay warm:) Until next time…..

We’re on 12 years (integrated appliiances MAKE the lasting esthetic!!) Currently…wouldn’t t change a thing (course, I WAITED THIRTY TWO YEARS for a “real” kitchen!!!) franki

I MOVED INTO MY CURRENT HOME 4 YEARS AGO AND I’M IN THE MIDDLE OF A KITCHEN RENO CURRENTLY
ALL THE CHOICES WERE WONDERFUL TOUGH TO CHOOSE JUST 3

Ok there are WAAAY too many gorgeous kitchens here to only choose 3! Maybe do a group of 10 and next day another group of 10?

My guess is your kitchen will be more beautiful and well thought out than all of these! We built our dream house 3 years ago and every day I am reminded how well we designed the kitchen. Tons of natural light, fabulous high end appliances and a plan for everything I own – did a by cabinet plan of how I’d use it, what I’d store access and adjust cabinets accordingly. Good luck

My top 3 seem to be at the top. #1, 3 and 16. We added a kitchen extension in 1976. Formica cabinets, Mexican fruit tiles on the back splash, formica countertops. Very popular back then (LOL). We wanted a new look about 10 years ago and had the cabinets professionally painted, marble like Corian countertops and beadboard back splash. We did a tin tile between the stove and exhaust hood. Left the 2 corner windows bare and replaced the curtains and valance with wicker roller shades in the bay window eating area. Our kitchen now is timeless and we are still loving it!

Can’t choose a favorite kitchen unless # 1. I like some things and dislike other things in all photos.

it would be fun to know what big changes you made in layout, etc., compared to your former kitchen, which we all loved!
