Hi there. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. We got to see friends and enjoy a family dinner with Mr. Phillip who today we will be watching for the day. Busy day ahead but always such fun to spend time with him. We have a lot happening over at EH and have some really exciting sales coming this way very soon!

Our house renovation continues, never fast enough but with the weather now starting to thaw out, I feel like things will start accelerating. If you are on Instagram I did create an account solely devoted to our renovation (click here to join). I also do my periodic Renovation Diaries on the blog and I promise when there are some exciting developments to share, you will hear about them!

With spring comes renewal, and lots of pretty things! OK onward to this Sunday’s post….

1 JEWELRY UPDATE So we held a fun popup sale on some really pretty costume jewelry at amazing prices to boot last week. The line was an instant smash success, with most pieces selling out. Due to the popularity, we were able to restock many of them which have been updated as of this morning!

Many of you provided feedback that you really like the idea of keeping this as part of our product line so I have purchased more pieces which some have been added, and a few more will be added sometime this week. Stay tuned. I agree, finding fun, stylish pieces that are affordable enough to where you don’t to even think twice about the purchase is something we all like:)

All of these below have been restocked in addition to a few fabulous new pieces added ! And there’s more I love these pieces for summer, vacations, etc…Nothing over $75!

2 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST A beautiful roundup of instagrams that caught my eye this week-

3 WAR CHILD Sadly in war, it is the innocent children who suffer most. My heart breaks daily seeing the horrifying images of so many children in the crosshairs of violence. They didn’t ask for it. I was happy to learn more about about the organization of War Child and was happy to make a donation to this worthwhile cause. I always do my due diligence to look into an organization I give to and this one checked all the boxes (you should do your due diligence if you feel necessary).

This is not about choosing sides, this is choosing to donate to help improve the lives of  young innocent children. They partner with local organizations to provide basic needs, clothing, blankets, toiletries, hygiene kits etc.. to hard hit areas. No donation is too small. 4 CHICKEN WONTONS- SO good! I cannot tell you how delicious these were and surprisingly quite easy. Would also make a fantastic appetizer (would make them a little smaller). Incredibly tasty, will absolutely be making these again very soon.

  • Approx 1.25 lb ground chicken
  • 4 green onions finely chopped
  • 2 TBSP chopped chives
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 TSP garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 TSP  rice vinegar
  • 2 TBSP soy sauce
  • 2 TBSP sesame oil
  • Chili crisp seasoning (season to taste)
  • Wonton wrappers

For sauce-

  • approx 2 TBSP soy sauce
  • 1 TBSP rice vinegar
  • 1/1 TBSP finely minced garlic
  • Chili crunch (optional if you like it spicy)

Put chicken in mixing bowl, add all ingredients to chicken and mix really well. Form small balls (about the size of golf ball) Add oil to skillet and place meatballs with the wonton wrappers placed over it (pinch them into place). Add a little water to pan and cover. Cook for approx 6 minutes. When done, they will be golden brown, when done sprinkle scallions over it and chili crisp seasoning. Finally add the small reserve of ingredients for sauce mixed well together and pour over it in the pan and let it cook another minute. Voila! You are done. If you make them, let me know what you think!

PS Wonton wrappers are often found in a refrigerated section sometimes near where they might sell store guacamole, etc…

5 BEAUTIFUL HOUSE TOUR Cozy overload.I cannot believe this mountaintop cottage is a new build! I love the storry behind it as much as I do how incredibly cozy it is. I can just see cuddling up with a. great book, a good meal cooking and watching the snow fall outside. Proof that beautiful things do indeed come in small packages!

6 THE VENITA HOTEL HAS OPENED! I was actually due to be here as of Wed for a quick girls getaway, but someone got sick and she had to cancel. I am excited to announce that this much anticipated hotel just opened as of last weekend ( I was so excited at getting to be one of the first guests) but this trip will be postponed by a few weeks. Looks so pretty, love a great boutique hotel. Click here for more info

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY Lately our world feels like it’s on fire and in some places it actually is. Like most, I am alarmed at whats happening, and it feels like it’s getting more serious by the day. I pray every day for a reversal to peace and some kind of diplomacy. Regardless of how you feel, wondering how you deal with this inevitable stress. It weighs so heavily on me. Spending time with Phillip, family and friends is the best therapy for me and keeping busy with work. Wondering about you?

Love the jewelry- fabulous and so reasonable! Those wontons look amazing, may even try them today. I have my college aged twins home until tomorrow, they would love these.
Oh Tina, I am so sickened by what I see happening in the Middle East. It is horrifying, this was a war of choice that a vast majorirty of Americans were very much against. The bombing of that school has me heartbroken with all those young little kids. I pray for a resolution soon. I exercise, cook and try to limit how much time I spend watching the news as its really heavy. I do not watch American mainstream anymore, its all propaganda as most of us know.
Your Sunday post is like. ray of much needed sunshine!

Hi, the link to the renovation IG page doesn’t seem to work. Although, the page is set to private – I did request it a week or so ago and it’s still outstanding. Have been watching the renovations with huge interest. Best wishes

Those chicken wontons look so good, I am not a great cook but think even I could try it haha!
Love the jewelry and just ordered a few of the bracelets, going on vacation to St. Barths in 2 weeks so this will be great to bring.
I take daily walks to decompress not only from the heaviness of world events but life in general. I normally listen to music of an uplifting podcast and that 45 min break does wonders for my body and soul. That video of the cabin is so charming.

I ALWAYS enjoy your Sunday posts ! It is one of the many ways I relax & escape the anxiety of world events. Yes, as much as I abhor war and the inevitable loss of life and suffering, especially of innocent children, I do not have my head buried in the sand. For 47 years we have lived with the horrors of the Iranian regime, the loss of life they have inflicted, even on their own people. ( I refrain to enumerate the atrocities in this comment ). But what we DO KNOW is what they have told us- they plan to use atomic weapons to eliminate us from existence, and they were within reach of those weapons very shortly if we did not TAKE ACTION NOW. Talk about Anxiety – the Very Real probability of extinction.
When someone tells you who they are, and Shows you who they are, Believe Them and Take Action. I am Thankful that we have a president who saw this opportune time and was wise enough to Act. With all of his faults, he has stepped up to the uncertainty of war and bravely Acted to eliminate an imminent and certain obliteration of our country. The loss of our own military heroes who serve on our behalf to literally save our lives is something every one of us should revere and never, ever forget. God Bless their eternal souls !!

In response to Mary Lou, Wow cannot believe that ANYONE can defend this pedophile lunatic in office. He has driven our country into the ground in one year. Now hes been outplayed by Iran, selecting another religious cleric (his son nonetheless) as a finger in the eye to this maniac in our white house. Oil is through the roof, our stock market plunges, a huge number of jobs lost, we are the most hated and resented country on earth. We have abandoned our allies and they have to plug their nose to deal with him because they don’t have a choice (for now).

We are a family of republicans and yes a few in our family I am embarrassed to admit voted for him. HOWEVER I am proud to say they have all admitted they made a grave mistake and sorely regret their votes.I do not know a single person who can continue to support him. Tina, I am sorry to hijack your beautiful blog but I was shocked to see this comment.

Mary Lou- what was the imminent threat? ISRAEL says for 47 years they were building a nuclear weapon. Meanwhile Israel has one. When’s the last time IRAN attacked our country in any way? Do your homework. This is about the Epstein files, oil, and his allegiance to Israel. He is the least popular president in AMERICAN HISTORY.

Also a footnote- I am Jewish AND a former republican and I recognize this was a war OF CHOICE. Our American soldiers will be dying and have died for ISRAEL. MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT THAT.

Tina loved the cottage video, wish I could go there now and escape! Exercise is my jam, pilates and running 3x a week to relieve stress. Beautiful jewelry and wontons look so good. I wanted to send this on a high note. Thanks Tina 🙂
