Good morning, everyone—hope this finds you well. Time for another Renovation Diaries—a little shorter than usual, but certainly not short on progress.

If I had to pick the most exciting update, it would be the completion of the back railings on the two upper decks. I absolutely love the Chippendale design—it truly makes the house feel complete.

We’ve also added brick to the front portico stairs, and that space is really starting to come together. Next up: the columns, which I think will transform it even further. We started getting flooring samples in which is the tiniest step into what is undoubtedly the exciting chapter. The plumbing is finally done (a big milestone!), cement is going into the bathrooms, and insulation is well underway—so things are definitely moving right along.

And the cherry on top—no pun intended—are the magnificent cherry blossoms now in full bloom. It’s bittersweet not being there to enjoy them, as the season is so fleeting… but all the more reason to get there as often as possible. Ok, so here is the latest-

Started trying to solidify my mudroom ideas, think I am going with the soft green. I don’t want to use blue as I will have plenty of blue elsewhere. I think I am leaning towards this floor as well. Still playing around!

Looks amazing, LOVE that Chippendale railing Well done! When do you hope to move in? Also the mudroom is so beautiful, giving me some ideas for my own, we are currently building in Atlanta, getting tons of great ideas from you. Such a stately home. Cannot wait to see all your design decisions, love your taste.
