Hi there, hope you are having a wonderful weekend. With luck, we will be out of town for a little getaway. Always nice to get away and recharge. Have a very busy week ahead with a new design job and lots of decision making on my own home front. So, lots of balls in the air right now. OK, onward to my post….
1 OUR BEST SELLING PROVENCE PLANTERS With the war, our shipments like everyone else’s coming from India have been greatly impacted. Insurance has gone through the roof. Normally we do a big shipment of our best selling Provence planters to be here for late spring/early summer. However this year, due to the war, we are doing a shipment but of preordered items only. On top of that, we will have to implement a price increase but before we do-
If you have had your eye on one of our Provence planters, we will be doing a presale on these on Tuesday with all info. Hopefully this is the one and only time we will have to work this way! But they are so beautiful and worth the extra hassle:) We will be offering these with a slight discount which makes the deal extra sweet as we will after that, be increasing these (fuel charges are through the roof). So stay tuned for Tuesday…
2 A NEW DREAMY HOTEL ON MY LIST So we have been to Lake Como twice and loved it. Stayed at Villa D’Este both times. We are potentially planning to that region this summer and this hotel, Grand Hotel a Villa Feltrinelli has come across my radar by two people who have been. Looks positively dreamy and we have never been to the Lake Garda area. If you have or if you have stayed in this hotel, would love to hear your feedback Click here to find to more.

4 PRETTIEST COOKIES! Cowtown cookies in my eyes is one of the very best. I have gotten cookies from Morgan (owner) many times and they were always the highlight of any party I have hosted. Here are some of her recent creations. Ahhh to be that talented! Click here for her Instagram account
5 MY ICONIC CHICKEN SALAD I do not say this lightly, this is so darn good!!! It is one of those things that you make and know you need a chicken salad fix weekly! I will even eat it cold out of the bowl straight from the refrigerator with a few crackers for breakfast. SO good!! This recipe absolutely bears repeating.
I love it on sourdough toast and also eat it with crunchmaster crackers as a snack, tastes as good refrigerated the next day:)
Best ever dill chicken salad
3 – 4 lbs of chicken parts (bone-in, skin-on thighs and breasts work well) (you’ll need about 3 to 4 cups of cooked chicken) I cut mine super small I use chicken boneless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons quality olive oil
1 cup of seedless grapes, sliced in half (red and green varieties are great)
1 cup almonds, thinly sliced (optional) This is a must add, gives great texture
2 celery ribs, chopped thinly
3 scallions, thinly sliced, white and green parts
2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped ( I about doubled this as I love dill and it adds a lot to this)
1 teaspoon Kosher salt (start with ½ teaspoon, then add more, to taste)
Freshly ground pepper
DIRECTIONS-
Pre-heat oven to 350 F.
Rub oil all over the chicken pieces and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake for 35 to 45 minutes (internal temp should reach 165 F). OR you can boil chicken in lightly salted water
Remove the chicken, let cool, then pull the meat from the bones and roughly chop.
In a large bowl, mix together the chicken, grapes, almonds, celery, scallions, dill & parsley
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, lemon, mustard, salt and pepper.
Add the mayonnaise mixture to the chicken mixture, and gently stir until will mixed.
Refrigerate for at least an hour.
Serve on a bed of green leaves with sliced tomatoes and avocado. Or, serve on bread with green leaf lettuce. Add more toppings to your taste!

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY OK this is a little deeper than some of my previous poll questions. But it’s piggybacking off a conversation I had with someone I had not spoken to in ages. It was so much fun to catch up and find out whats been happening in her life. Talk about reinvention. I was amazed and actually inspired by the amount of reinvention she is undergoing (not superficial) at her 62 young years.
I left there marveling at what she is doing. She doesn’t talk about a bucket list, she is actively engaged in checking off that bucket list fast! So, here’s my question this Sunday- Do you think people can truly reinvent themselves at any stage in life or do we eventually become/stay as more of who we have always been?
And that’s a wrap for this Sunday. Hope you enjoyed my post. Anything resonate? Always love to hear! Wishing you a great day, until next time…..
OUR PHENOMENAL DEAL OF THE DAY CONTINUES- LARGE SCALLOPED PLATTER AND LARGE SALAD BOWL BOTH FOR $30! (HALF OFF) 7 PATTERNS TO CHOOSE FROM. GREAT FOR SUMMER AND WHAT A PERFECT HOSTESS GIFT!
I would check every box. In my opinion, the first answer is the foundation for all the other possibilities. Being who we’ve always been includes capacity for change.
Compliments to the reader submission with the playhouse — what a darling setup!

I agree. What a wonderful idea for Easter. I wonder what was hidden inside.
I am curious how you can order cookies. The website says “no shipping”. The hotel in Italy looks fabulous.
