Good morning, everyone! We’re getting back to the dream house series and featuring another room today—the home office!
Do you have a home office? Have you ever had one? The closest I came in our old house was a room that was technically designated as my home office, but if I’m being perfectly honest, it became a little bit of everything. It occasionally doubled as a guest room, became a place to store extra clothes, and somehow never quite felt like a true, dedicated home office.
In our new home, which we are hopefully moving into within the next five or six months, there is a small space specifically designated as my home office. It’s not a large room, but it’s small and cozy, which is exactly what I want. And this time, I am determined to keep it strictly a home office—and nothing else!
So, naturally, I’ve been dreaming up all kinds of ideas and inspiration. I came up with ten beautiful home office options, and honestly, I love every single one of them. The darker, moodier rooms feel so intimate and cozy—I can easily imagine settling in for hours with a cup of coffee, getting lost in work. Then there are the lighter, airier spaces in soft blues, creams and greens that speak to my aesthetic and feel so fresh and inviting.
There truly isn’t one here that I wouldn’t be absolutely thrilled to work in. Each has something special about it, and they’re giving me lots of ideas for my own little office. To have a fireplace would feel like the ultimate, love overhead lighting an office, built in’s lacquered anything and if you can squeeze in a comfy chair that s a nice bonus. Now I’m turning it over to you! I’m so curious—which TWO are your favorites?
Two notices- one is we still have room for a few more pictures for our Summer Love contest to being next week!

And that is a wrap, this was fun for me. I do love a great home office. I could make an argument for any one of these. What are must have’s for you or if you were designing your own home office? Would love to know. Thanks for stopping in, hope you have a great day! Until next time……
That was nearly impossible. Each is so beautiful. Essential is that, of course, the printer(s) is hidden behind cabinet doors & there is plenty of room to store supplies. 💚
My “office” is set within a box bay with an antique French kidney shaped desk with a leather top and an Old Paris porcelain lamp. The desk faces large windows that look out onto the garden. Being able to look out onto the garden when I’m working with windows on three sides surrounding me is relaxing, creative, and encourages me to continue with whatever I might be needing to do.
Wow all of these are so beautiful. I had a hard time narrowing it down to 2. That wintry view was dreamy but so is the Eiffel Tower! However in the end blue and white won the day for me! Got some nice ideas here.
I have asked several times, and to no avail!!!! Please add my email to your Seven on Sunday email, I got kicked off some how!!!!! laefinishingtouch@comcast.net

For me it would be between number one and five without a doubt!
