Good Sunday morning from a rainy, dreary New York! It’s definitely the kind of day that calls for a lazy morning at home, and I am more than happy to oblige.

My week has been so busy and chock-full that anytime I find myself with even a few free hours, I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot! Plus, we have our very special little VIP visitor, Philip, in the house, which always makes everything that much sweeter.

Later today, we’re getting together with friends for some Rummikub followed by a casual dinner, which I’m really looking forward to. It will be such a nice little break before the busy weekday begins all over again tomorrow.

For now, I’m enjoying this slow Sunday morning and the sound of the rain outside.

OK, onward to my post…

1 CUSTOM MONOGRAMMED BEDDING COMING SOON! So I spoke of possibly adding this category about a year ago and we were lined up with someone to start it but life got in the way and we were focusing mostly on our own products. I knew the time would come to bring it aboard and that time will be in a few weeks! I am very excited about it. We all know how expensive high quality 100% cotton monogrammed duvets, pillows, etc…can be.

I have bought them myself and have ordered for clients as well. Some of the top brands get thousands for it. I am excited to soon introduce a beautiful custom monogrammed collection which will be affordable! There will be a bevy of monogram styles to choose from, a few bedding styles and a very extensive thread color chart. I think you will be as excited as I am when you see it. So stay tuned for the bedding debut in a few weeks…

2 MY NYC PROJECT It is really humming along and looking quite beautiful! I cannot wait to share seo of the before pictures with the eventual afters. Right ow we have about 2 weeks left of painting. Wallpaper is almost done, most of the carpentry work is nearly done but have a few installations this coming week. Then the furniture will slowly trickle in. Stay tuned., here are some recent pics-

The pretty pink/cream carpet is covered

Kid gates painted to match!

Living room getting its second coat of paint!

Master vestibule

Fun playroom in the works

All trim done and painted, never underestimate the power of trim!

3AI…..Wow is this ever coming at us fast and furious! A bit scary, I have been going down a rabbit hole lately and while found it fascinating a few moths ago, I now find it terrifying in many ways. Of course recent headlines don’t exactly help calm my anxiety about it! This is a 7 minute video but enlightening.

4 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Never a shortage of beautiful instagams to share…

5 DEMENTIA VILLAGE I must admit I swallowed hard reading this and my eyes welled up with tears immediately. Dementia is triggering for me. My beautiful mom passed away almost 4 years ago and it was by far the hardest chapter of my life watching this horrific disease take over my beloved mom. I pay close attention the developments in the world of Alzheimer’s research and pray they will find a cure for it to spare too many families the utter heartbreak.

My mom was one of the lucky ones, my add insisted upon her being home and he being the primary care giver. he was remarkable. But I saw and witnessed how difficult it was, how emotionally taxing it was and when i saw this barnd new “Dementia Village” i was intrigued. And amazed. What a beautiful thing for families to be able to offer their loved one. I hope this idea catches on and spreads throughout the country. Click here to learn more

6 BEST HOLIDAY MOVIES! Come fall aka the cozy season, I often go back to some of my favorite holiday movies that are just feel good kinds of flicks though some of these have some sadness to them, they are all excellent.  The kind I can watch over and over. Here are some of the top picks for me, do you have any faves?

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY I do two activities weekly that I always find and make time for. Pickleball and Rummikub. I love both and enjoy them immensely. They are great decompressors and just a nice way to unplug for an hour or two. Seems like they have both gotten so popular.  if you play either or Mahjong, another game exploding in popularity. Eventuality when I have more time I will commit to learning it.

Love a rainy Sunday. Plan on cleaning out closets today. The Dementia Village is a wonderful idea. I hope it will be affordable. We had round the clock care in home for my mother-in-law. So sad how this disease takes a toll on them and family members.

I am so excited about the bedding you have no idea about five years ago invested in a very expensive custom bedding set. I love it, but I just can’t justify the price point.

I have been following your wonderful project and Manhattan, it is coming out so beautiful I can only imagine how thrilled the homeowners must be

started group pickleball lessons about a month ago and having the best time!

Favorite holiday movie is “ Love Actually “.
I wonder why we didn’t go through the same fear when the World Wide Web was starting out. AI will be ok as long as there are kill switches in place

French Kiss!!!🎉
I cook /read to decompress. And harvest freshness out of my garden 🌺🧑‍🍳🍽️💃🏼🎉

I tooo love playing bridge. Try to play twice a week. I love playing mahjong. My 12 and 10 year old grandgirls take much pleasure beating me. And I love it. Wasn’t sure about when I learned last year but now I am addicted. Not sure why it took so long to become so popular in this country

PS no one really knows how draining things like Alzheimers , ( my mother had Parkinsons/late stage dementia, and my grandpaAlzheimers)

No one knows how draining Alzheimers /dementia are unless they have lived it.
Just a thought, jump in and help out a caregiver. Lunch in, lunch out, a gift of mani pedi, massage, a trusted sitter… just to name a few. I guarantee no one knows the burden unless they have experienced it hands on.

I’m all about growth and quality of life. I’m against AI. Humans have slowly been self destructing our world. Bioengineering is because we are destroying the world and humans. Read what bioengineering is all about!

Love the green kids gate you designed. Does it latch when it’s closed? I would love to see more photos of the door and gate when open/closed in a future post. Good design is all in the details!

Great Sunday post! I do have a question about your holiday movie photos – they are not real! Are they AI generated? All of the pictures of the actors are just a little off!

I joined line dancing classes. Fun and really good for dementia prevention. The brain has to focus, and learn different patterns of steps at each class.

The bedding looks gorgeous!
