Good evening, everyone! As you know, sometimes I like to change things up and post in the evening. I know that after a long day, I enjoy sitting down and getting lost in my favorite blogs, podcasts, etc.

I’m not sharing any actual job-site photos today, as I haven’t been there much this past week. Instead, I’m focusing on two very exciting subjects: my closet and my kitchen! Things on the renovation front however are well underway, trim work in full swing, lots of outside electrical being done, prepping for bathroom floors…starting next week! I cannot wait!

My walk-in closet is not enormous, but it is certainly a very nice size. Initially, I thought I would recreate almost exactly what I had in my previous closet. Then I began considering fretwork mullions, which looked so beautiful on the plans. I briefly reverted to the original design, but once I saw the fretwork mocked up, I fell in love with it all over again—and now I’m leaning in that direction once more!

I also have the option of using clear glass, mirror, or lightly antiqued mirror. I’m strongly leaning toward the antiqued mirror, but it’s always fun to hear your opinions.

Then we’ll move on to the kitchen—marble slabs, how everything is coming together, and a few more decisions I’d love your input on. So, let’s get started!

So here are the closet and options-

Option 1 trellis with glass

And this is the opposite wall to that one so whatever I do above this will be the wall across from it

And and now lets talk kitchen and countertops! So as you. might know i ma using delft tile, doing a white kitchen, traditional with a lot of glass. Dark wood floors.

I love marble and have had it in every home we have lived in since we moved from the city. Though I am totally amazed and gobsmacked at what they are doing with quartz and porcelain, I am determined to use marble.

Started slab shopping and forgot how overwhelming it is!!!! So,  here are some of the ones I saw, all beauties, but the ones with more movement I feel will fight with the delft tile that is such a statement piece in this kitchen.  I want a quieter stone with softer veins to compliment and not overpower. Someone mentioned a marble called Calcutta Bluette which was intriguing…but its hard to find, this is what it looks like. Pretty, love that it has subtle blue veining but found it to be a bit too busy

So then someone at one of the yards told me about a quartz similar but less busy,  this was the quartz I was shown and I wish I didn’t like it so much! The pics don’t do it justice but I must say it quite beautiful!

Lots of exciting decisions but nerve wrecking too. I tend to overthink things and though I am good at honing in right on what I love, when it comes down to a few choices that I equally love, that’s when it gets tricky. So I am all eras!
