Things over here have been busy, busy, busy! I can’t believe how quickly these summer days are flying by. Before we know it, we’ll already be at the end of July. My inbox has officially started filling up with back-to-school and college supply list emails…and I’m not quite ready for that! I literally just had my very first lobster roll of the season!
So, it’s time for another fun “Which Would You Choose?”
This time, I’m sharing 10 absolutely gorgeous dining rooms. Imagine you’re getting ready to host an intimate dinner party for 8–10 of your favorite people. Your favorite music is playing in the background, maybe you’ve poured yourself your favorite refreshment, and you’re putting the finishing touches on dinner before your guests arrive.
Now imagine you’re instantly transported to one of these spectacular spaces. Would you choose a sophisticated Manhattan dining room high above the city lights? A warm, timber-beamed retreat overlooking the snow-capped mountains of Montana? A romantic dining room in Provence with endless lavender fields just beyond the windows? A breezy Nantucket home framed by lush hydrangeas? Or perhaps one of the other beautiful destinations?
Now that I’ve set the mood…it’s time to vote. Choose your TWO favorite dining rooms and tell me why. I can’t wait to see which ones rise to the top!

I chose 4 & 9. The beautiful fields of lavender spell romance . So a romantic setting for an intimate dinner with friends. Number 9 reminds me of a Cali coastline. The cool ocean breezes & being mesmerized by the endless waves crashing on the shore. How I miss the ocean after a move to the desert.
I chose 3 and 9 because they are light and bright with outside access to fresh air and beautiful views. I’m not a formal person so casual surroundings without things that are too “precious” make me happy. Most rooms aren’t really built for them, but I do love a round dining table.
I like 5 for the open space but not too formal. A fireplace always warms a room. I like 4 for a smaller space but still keeping it a little formal. A round table is nice for conversation and smaller spaces.
Choice 2 all the way!! I am a city girl through and through and that moody luxurious dining room wit those views is a home run!I do appreciate all the others and a close 2nd for such a vibe would be choice 7. Reminds me of the beautiful homes in Aspen where 30 years ago I was a ski instructor and where they are many many amazing homes! All beautiful!
I chose 1 and 2. Why you ask? I love the classic formality of them both. That high gloss ceiling in #1 is the ‘icing’ to that beautiful Gracie wallpapered room. Dining room #2 is just perfection with my love of the color black, and paired with the blue and white ceramics is gorgeous. That beautiful crisp white crystal chandelier in #2 is so stunning against the black walls. Elegance is the feeling both rooms give for me.
Tina, one is just elegant, elegant, elegant! With very comfortable seating….I personally love a dining room with a gracie-vibe wallpaper…and a floral aura…so you have the feeling that you are dining in a garden…and/or a fantasy location…and 7 also gives off a vibe of comfort, so important in a dining room…i also love a round table, so that everyone can see each other and converse and all guests can participate in a conversation or break off to their left/right partner….it is a better experience than a rectangle…and the blue/white chairs are festive, elegant, too and look very comfortable….i am all about comfort and glamour/fantasy in a dining room….

Charm and atmosphere, Not ordinary and boring.
